Mia's POV

I'm sitting on my bed looking out my huge glass window looking out onto my beautiful backyard.

I have a small balcony that I go out on. There are pretty lights that stretch out over the pool.

It's about 9:56 pm so it's not long until the others get here.

Not long after, I hear the doorbell ring from downstairs. I grab my phone and a small torch. Chloe told me to bring one, we all did.

When I walk down the stairs, I see that mum got there before me. We don't want our mums knowing where we're going, so we're just telling them we're walking into town to get dinner.

"Hey guys!" Mum greets the others.

"Hey Deb!" Chloe says back.

"Where are you's going tonight?" Mum asks.

The four of us just eye each other. We didn't think this through...

"Uh, were not sure yet. Might just get some pizza." Finn covers up.

My stomach flips when I hear his voice. And as he stands there in a red flannel and slightly ripped black jeans. Oh my god.

I had put on a clack crop top that was tied in a knot at the front and some ripped jeans.

"Sounds lovely, you have fun!"

"We will, bye." I say as we all walk off.

"We actually should go get something to eat after though." Chloe says as we make our way down the dark street. It was only lit up by the dim street lights.

"Yeah, but first I want to go inside this house." Luke says excitedly.

"Did you all bring torches? Because there are going to be no lights." Finn says.

I take out my torch and shine it around. Chloe turns her phone flashlight on, while Finn's and Luke get out torches like mine.

"That's a weak light." Luke laughs at Chloe.

"Oh I'm sorry I don't have a frickn torch." Chloe fires back. "This is better than nothing." She flashes the light in his face.

As we approach the house, I shiver at the sight of it.

"Holy shit." I mumble. What am I about to do? I have never done anything like this before.

The house was surrounded by huge trees that were practically dead. The house itself was just broken down with smashed windows. Oh god oh god oh god. No I hate this stuff. I didn't expect it to be this scary.

"Oooo. I dare you guys to go in first." Chloe mocks.

"Nah nah nah your coming in with us." Luke says grabbing Chloe by the arm. She lets out a small squeal but walks with him.

She does the sign of the cross as Luke walks with her towards the front door. Finn walks behind them too then I realise that I'm still standing by myself.

"No wait for me." I slightly laugh and jog up next to Finn. "How are you guys not scared."

"Well, first of all, I have been in much worse, and plus, this is just a creepy old house." Luke says calmly.

"I bet you we'll see a ghost." Chloe says. A shiver goes up my spine as we all step onto the front veranda. 

This place is fucking scary. It's like one of those typical haunted houses you see in horror films.

"Well then, let's go see." Finn says and kicks open the door.

It creaks a bit then it goes quiets.

"Oh my fucking god there is no way I—" Before Chloe could finish her sentence, Luke cuts in.

"Come on." He says and takes her hand as they walk in first.

It leaves Finn and I. "Ladies first." He gestures for me to go in before him by shining his torch light through the doorway. I look at him and smirk before I step through the door.

When we're all in, we decide to walk down the hallway.

The place is definitely abandoned. With furniture scattered around the place, wood everywhere, a broken chandelier laying on the ground and noises coming from everywhere.

I get my flashlight out and look around.

"Let's go on here." Luke says as he shines his light into what looks like a bedroom.

He goes in first, the Chloe, then me, then Finn.

"Fuck this is creepy." I say as we look around. There wasn't much in here. Only a small bed, a bed side table, and a small little window. But everything was trashed.

"Ohh I have an idea!" Luke says suddenly. "Let's play hide and seek." He shines his light outside the door of the bedroom.

"What the actual fuck." Chloe whispers.

What.

"Yes, that'll be fun." Finn laughs.

"See?" Luke says. "It will be fun. Chloe I'll go with you. We'll hide first."

No no no no no no no noooo this is crazy.
Who the fuck thinks of something like this.

Chloe sighs. "Fine. But do not leave me alone, because if you do, I might get possessed."

How the hell is she agreeing to this? She would be the first person to leave this house. It's because of Luke...

"You won't get possessed." Luke sighs. "Let's go. You guys have 1 minute." He says to us.

Me and Finn just look at each other when the others leave.

"How the hell are we going to find them?" I ask.

He laughs. "It'll be easy. Their going upstairs anyway." When he says that, we hear them making the wooden stairs creak from outside the door.

"Oh, great."

"Come on, let's go." He says as we slowly make our way towards the creepy stairs. I walk next to him as we listen for their footsteps.

Once we get to the top, we walk down another creepy ass hallway and start to check the rooms. We start down the end and make our way back towards the stairs by looking in a few rooms.

"Let's go in here." I say and shine my torch into a dark room.

"Alright." He says and walks into the room. I follow right behind him as we look around. This room looked like a guest bedroom or something since there were a few beds.

"Nope." He says and we leave the room. Then I hear a noise coming from down the hallway. It sounded like a knocking.

When Finn and I step outside, I see a white figure down the end of the hallway near the stairs. I immediately freeze as Finn walks to the room opposite the one we just went in.

"Finn." I say hoping he hears me. When he does he walks over to me.

"What is it?" He asks. But then he looks where I'm looking and realises. The ghost that was standing at the end of the hallway stopped and noticed us. It looked like an old lady.

Holy shit I have never seen a ghost before in my life. Oooh my god I'm shaking.

I could sense that Finn was standing right next to me, so I slowly intertwined our fingers. I felt him do the same. I was still frozen.

"Oh my gosh." I whispered as the white figure stayed in the same spot about 15 metre away from us. Then it walked away out of sight.

I noticed that my heart was beating really fast.

The only light in the hallway, was the light coming from the window next to us. There was a street light just outside, so we didn't need our torches on. Which actually made this whole situation a lot spookier.

"Guess Chloe was right." Finn said.

I was pulled out of my trance. I'm holding Finn's hand.

"Oh my god are are kidding me?" Chloe asked starting to freak out. "I'm getting out of here. Holy shit!" She whisper yelled.

We were standing in the hallway where Finn and I saw the ghost.

"Damn, I wish I was there." Luke sighed.

"Yeah your saying that now, but you would have shit yourself." Chloe quietly laughed.

The hallway was dark and cold. The wind outside started to pick up and we could hear the house around us creak.

"God, it was creepy." I shivered looking around us.

Then suddenly we heard a loud bang coming from one of the rooms behind us. It sounded like something fell, or another bang. We all just looked at each other.
