Chapter 17

After what seemed about half an hour, we finally arrived at the Jedi Temple, along with the twins and Anakin.

I got out, Luke grabbing onto my hand, his soft hands felt like a soft silky blanket on my skin. I smiled, and took him by his hand, leading him into the Jedi Temple, with Anakin leading Leia in, following behind me.

Walking inside, I spotted Skyler, the girl I met in the first round, standing with her master, Plo-Koon, talking once more. I smiled at her, as she must've seen me out of the corner of her eye, as she smiled back at me. As I was looking at her, I realized she didn't have her Padawan braid on. She must've graduated to the Jedi Knight rank!

Finally, we arrived back into the room with the black and yellow grid, where all the Council members were sitting up in the observatory room, talking with one another and watching the other Padawans. Suddenly, there was a booming voice on the loudspeaker.

"(Y/N). Are you ready for the eighth test? " Asked Mace Windu, looking down at me.

"Yes Master, " I said, with full confidence.

He seemed to smile. "Good. This is the second to last test, on forgiveness, so I wish you good luck, and may the Force be with you. "

I nodded, getting ready for the obstacles that were ready to come for me.

Quickly, the scenery changed, to something quite unsuspected. I expected it to be something epic, but all it changed to, was to back into the Jedi Temple.

I was walking in the hall ways, with all the small Younglings running around, laughing and playing. All the Masters laughing, joking around and telling stories, some boasting about their adventures they had with their Padawans.

I didn't see anything that needed to be fixed... It seemed perfect. Well... A little too perfect. It doesn't matter how cliché that sounded, but it was quite odd. Something wrong was always happening in the Jedi Temple. I just simply didn't know. I put my hand onto my lightsaber, walking around, until I heard several booms going all throughout the Temple.

That was when all Hell broke loose. Everyone started panicking, the Younglings started crying and hiding next to the walls, and the Temple started crumbling and smoke alarms went off everywhere. There was fire spreading, and fast, going in all directions, I for one, wanted to start panicking myself. However, I couldn't give in to the mission.

I stayed somewhat calm, looking around for a fire distinguisher. Suddenly, a Youngling came crashing into me, which appeared to be Luke.

I grabbed his arm and looked into his blue eyes. I saw much fear, and terror and confusion in his eyes, knowing he wanted to run away.

"Luke, " I said softly. "What happened? Do you know?"

He looked at me, then around the room. "She... She... He... Died. "

My eyes widened. "She? He? Who? What happened? "

What was I thinking. He was a three year old. I wasn't going to get very far with him. But maybe he could help me a bit.

"A girl," he swallowed. "Killed daddy. "

My eyes grew huge, as they suddenly started to swell up with tears. I blinked, wiping them away with the sleeve on my arm, and I swallowed so the lump in my throat wouldn't grow. God I hates those things. It's as if they prevented me to speak.

"D-do you know w-where h-he is?" I asked, stuttering, tears streaming down my face.

Luke slowly nodded, still holding onto my hand, letting all the others run by us, escaping the Jedi Temple. I got up, and Luke pointed to the hangar, where the gigantic explosion must of went off.

Before I went, I got down on my knees and looked at Luke.

"Luke. I can't let you stay with me, it's too dangerous, " I said. "I want you to follow the others and run. Don't even look back. Just run. I'll come find you. If I don't make it out in an hour, go find Master Obi-Wan and tell him where I am. Run Luke, run. "

Luke fastly nodded, coughing from all the smoke, then giving me a long hug. I smiled, and hugged him back, as he let go, covering his mouth with his arm, and swiftly running out with the others.

I sighed, then started to cough, running towards the smoke. I covered my mouth with my arm as well, taking out my lightsaber and igniting it, dodging falling ceilings and rubble tumbling down.

After what seemed forever, I finally arrived in the hangar. Ship parts were laying everywhere, the smell of burning gasoline was all throughout the air. I coughed again, scanning the hangar floor, searching for any signs of Anakin.

"Anakin! " I called out, coughing, as the flames began to rise, and the ceiling kept tumbling down. "Anakin!" I called again. I hoped he was still alive.

Suddenly I heard a groan. I quickly sprinted over to where I heard it, and saw Anakin, sitting against the wall, his legs sprawled out, and him clutching his stomach.

I coughed, and squatted next to him. "Master, what happened?"

He groaned again, coughing. "Some... Some girl... Set a fire..." he coughed again. "She tried to kill me... "

I coughed again, removing Anakin's hand from his stomach area, and there was a heaping about of blood. "Anakin... We need to get you out of here. "

"No!" he coughed, groaning again. "Leave me. I'm going to die either way. I'm bleeding too much. "

The fire kept rising and rising, as more of the ceiling fell through.

"I'm not leaving you here!" I coughed. "I'm not letting you die like this!"

"(Y/N) let me. Please. "

"No! You mean to much to me Master," I croaked, coughing, tears falling from my eyes rather quickly.

"(Y/N)... I can't go... "

"Yes you can! If you let me!"

"(Y/N) you need to let go! "

"I can't leave you! I won't leave you! Stay with me please!"

He slowly blinked, his bloody hand going up to my cheek, caressing it softly, as I placed my hand on his. "No... I can't be saved... Darling, I... Love-"

Before he could finish his sentence, a swift arrow went straight through air, grazing my left arm, and making it's way into Anakin's chest.

I looked behind me to see who had done so, and it was a girl alright. She looked like a bounty hunter. I glared at her, as she had been my Master's killer.

I let Anakin's hand drop down onto his lap, as I got up to go to the assassin. I turned on my lightsaber once again, rage running through my veins. She made her way towards me too.

I shook my head, realizing what I was doing wrong. Anakin was right. I needed to let go. I couldn't hold onto people's deaths. I sighed, looking down, sheathing my lightsaber. I forgave the assassin. He was going to die anyway...

I blinked slowly, coughing again, and looking up at the holes in the roof, smoke burning my eyes.

I forgive her, I thought, looking back at Anakin's body.

Slowly, the assassin came up behind me, placing her hand onto my shoulder. "(Y/N). You have completed for eighth round. Welcome to the last, and final round. "
