Jacob's POV

3 days later

" Well Sir, you have bought a beautiful ring," the jewelry seller says. Today I plan to ask Emily to marry me. But first I need to let Aleck know. I buy the ring, it is silver with a diamond on top.

I take a carriage to Aleck's shop. When I get there Aleck is working on something," Aleck?" I say trying to get his attention . Aleck stops doing what he is doing.

" Ah, Jacob," he smiles," Emily isn't here right now but you can wait," he explains.

" Actually Aleck, I came to ask you something important,"

" Well Jacob, what is it?" he asks.

" I came to ask if I can marry your niece," he looks like he is thinking on it. Then he smiles

" Of course you can!" he exclaims. Emily walks in.

" Jacob, can do what?" she asks.

" Nothing!" I say, but I say it too quick for it to be convincing.She nods. " Anyway, would you care to go into town with me?"

" Yes, I would love to," she says. So we walk around Lambeth.

Emily's POV

Jacob has been acting strange ever since we left uncle's shop. I finally have to ask what is wrong with him. " Jacob, you have been acting strange since we left uncle's shop, so what are you not telling me," He turns to me.

" What do you mean?" he asks. I just stair at him.

" I mean you have not been acting like yourself," he smiles.

" Emily, nothing is wrong with me," he gives me a reassuring look. I sigh and let it go. As the day went on see seemed to act more like himself, but I still wondered what he was planning. He turns to me," Are you hungry?" he asked. My stomached growled a little.

"  Yes, very," I say. Jacob looks around and points out a small restaurant. I nod and we head towards it. We sit down at a table, a waiter sees us. We order our food, and once we were done we exited the restaurant and we continued our walk.

It was starting to get dark outside, and cold. I shiver, Jacob sees it and puts his jacket around me. It smelled like him. I look up at the sky and see that the stars were coming out. I remember star gazing with my brother Erik. He could point out every constellation in the sky. I look up at Jacob.

" The sky is lovely don't you think?" I ask smiling. He looks down at me and gives me a smirk.

" Would you like a closer look?" before I could answer, he shot his grappler hook at a tall building, and the next thing I know I'm lifted off the ground. I close my eyes and hold onto Jacob tight. Once I feel solid ground on my feet I let go of Jacob, " Well, Emily what do you think?" I look up at the sky, and I saw that the stars were more beautiful at a higher elevation. I gaze up in amazement, I smile, and turn away from Jacob. In my trance I feel someone grab my  hand. I look up and see Jacob was holding my hand. I blush, he gets down on one knee. 'What is he doing' I thought.

" Emily Drake, you are the most amazing woman I have ever met, I don't know what I did to deserve your love, quit frankly I don't deserve it at all, I couldn't imagine my life without you, so will you marry me?" I smile, tears rolling down my face, I nod.

" Jacob, of course I will marry you," I say. I throe my arms around him. He kisses me deeply. Then he breaks our  kiss.

" Tomorrow, I think it is time you meet my gang," He says. Then my eyes widen.
