Jacob's POV

Freeing the Royal Guards and killing the imposters was a complete success. I changed into my assassin clothes. I walk back to the ball, then I hear an explosion, ' Emily,' I think of her. I run to the dancing area. I look around and I don't see her. I see Evie, maybe she knows where Emily is.

" Evie, have you seen Emily?" I ask her. But she shakes her head.

" No, I though she went to find you," Evie says, " Well I need to get out of this infernal contraption," Then she leaves. I look over and see Erik looking frantic.

" Erik, what's wrong?" I ask him. Erik looks at me.

" I can't find Emily anywhere, I mean one moment she is standing right next to me and then after that explosion she's gone," Erik says worried. I look over to a woman.

" Excuse me Miss, have you seen a woman with black hair wearing a blue and purple dress?" I ask and she nods her head.

" Yes, she was walking that way with a man with a large mustache and black that was shaved a little on the sides," she says and she points to the direction of where the went, towards the blast sight. I smile.

" Thank you," I say to her. I run, by the description she gave it was Starrick. If he touched one hair on her I swear to God I will kill him myself.

Emily's POV

Starrick takes me down to a strange place below the ground. He makes me walk to the alter at the end of the room. It is a very strange place I never heard of any place existing hear in England. Well it must have been here a very long time because it does look old.

Once we were at the alter he un hands me and he takes out something that looks like a necklace. It looks like the same necklace that Evie was wearing. He sticks it in a slit in the alter and it opens up revealing a gorgeous yellow shroud. Starrick puts it on. Then Starrick walks up to me.

" You know Miss Drake, you think that we, the Templars, didn't know about you and Jacob," he says menacingly. They know? How could they? But I shake away the thought.

" I don't know what your talking about," I say to him trying to lie to him. Starrick gives me an angry look.

" Don't lie to me!" He yells. I glare at him.

" I don't know a Jacob, quite frankly I never met one," I say still trying to trick him. But he just snickers.

" I know your lying Miss Drake, I saw you two with my own eyes," he says, " once he gets here he will watch you die, then his sister then I will take pleasure in ending his life," anger flows through me.

" Don't you dare touch him!" I say angrily, " Or it will be me who ends your life, and I can promise you this it will be slow and painful," Starrick just grins and then his hand hits my face, I fall to the ground. He stands over me grabbing my hair.

" Your in no position in threating me Miss Drake," he whispers in my ear. I scoff.

" Lets see who first falls at the end of the knife," I say before kicking him in the leg, which caused him to fall down. I quickly get up. I grin.

" Oh, there is one thing you don't know about me, unlike you I'm not afraid to die, because also unlike you I will be going to a better place," I say in my know- it- all voice. I turn my back towards him. The next thing I know I am being thrown, and I hit my head on the wall. Once I fall to the ground my vision becomes blurred, and I fell like I am blacking out.

" NO!" I hear before blacking out.
