"I don't, but how would you—"
She grins again. "Catherine told me."
Of course.
"What—"
"Ringo was fifteen when his mother died. He was saving up money for college and asked his mother if she could check if there were any Help Wanted fliers around town. She agreed to go. And, I guess you know what happened next."
"Does Ringo's father...?"
"Know? Yes. That's why Ringo is abused. That's also why he hangs around the school so much. His father took all the money Ringo had saved up and spent it on himself."
I gape at her for a moment before realizing...something doesn't add up.
"Why in the world are you telling me this? I thought you hated Ringo."
And me.
She chuckles.
"I do. And I suppose that it would be humorous to have you run off with Ringo, only to have him murdered by his own father. But I also know that you, for some, sick reason, love Ringo too much to risk his safety. If I know you, you're going to let him go off on his own. Even though it will completely destroy you inside."
So last night, Kalie and I were ghost hunting again
We asked what color pants she was wearing (red)
It said red
We found out ANOTHER name, so now we have Gabe and Charlie (Charlie=Charles=Buddy Holly=fangirl moment)
It mentioned 1903 AGAIN
We found out that Jacob (an 8 year old boy that follows Kalie) was also there
Annnnnnd it said that one of them followed me from New Orleans so
That's comforting
ALSO
AT ONE POINT IT SOUNDED LIKE JAZZ MUSIC WAS BEING PLAYED THROUGH THE SPIRIT BOX
NEW ORLEANS IS THE BIRTHPLACE OF JAZZ
I think I'm gonna go die real quick, brb
