Kaiden's eyes widened when he heard that and turning around, the ceiling of the room suddenly crumbled making them move out of the way of the falling debris. Looking up, they saw the man hanging midair and the moon's light illuminated his face and gave off his dark knight's vibe. "Impossible," Kaiden whispered, not believing his eyes.

The woman was also shocked but her shock didn't last for long as she chuckled. "My, my, my, dark prince, what a way to shock us."

Edward ignored them and his eyes went to the girl tied on the plank and being hanged midair by chains. His heart went out to her as he felt her in every single part of his body. His stomach and his cheeks had the most pain and he knew instantly that she had been slapped and kicked or hit in the stomach. The anger bobbled inside him and his bloodshot red eyes went to the man standing closest to her and only for him to receive the shock of his life. "Kaiden?" he called.

"Hello little brother," Kaiden hissed.

"Hold up," the woman said, "he looked nothing like his former self, how did you recognize him?" she seemed to be genuinely interested, however, she gasped in a sudden, "you can see his soul." Her head swept from Edward to Kaiden and then back to Edward, "if you can see his soul then that means..." but she didn't get to finish her sentence because Kaiden suddenly leapt in the air and attacked the man.

Edward easily dodged his attack and rushed him, landing a blow on his chest but Kaiden didn't feel the pain as he turned and slashed Edward on the face with his claws. Claw marks shone on Edward's pale skin but it healed in the next second and he kicked Kaiden, sending him falling and crashing on his shelves of potion, making hundreds of vials to rattle and then crashing on the ground. Colorful smokes soon filled everywhere and the hooded woman quickly disappeared, leaving the two brothers to their fight.

Edward meant to go to Aliyah and get her out but Kaiden came from behind and bit onto his neck, making the man to growl in pain and anger. He poked his fingers into Kaiden's eyes and the demon screamed in pain and released him. Turning sharply, Edward rushed him and delivered powerful punches on his stomach before landing a dirty slap on his cheek, making the man to crash into the wall and create a hole on it.

Melissa who had sensed the commotion and was coming to know what was happening with Cedric screamed when Kaiden fell out of the hole on the wall in front of them. "My Lord," Cedric rushed to help him up but Kaiden pushed him away and snarling, he leapt in the air and went through the hole to meet Edward again and he kicked him so hard that Edward flew and crashed beside Aliyah. Aliyah started at the man, she believed she was definitely hallucinating the man and that he was saving her. Who knows, maybe the time he finally kills Kaiden, she would wake up and see Kaiden still trying to force her to drink the potion.

Edward got up and bared his fangs at Kaiden who did the same at him. "What do you think brother?" Kaiden hissed, "we are finally an equal match. What, you think you can kill me as easily as you did before? That I am going to go down on my knees and beg for mercy? A mercy which you didn't render and had brutally killed me, huh?"

"I killed you before, I can do so again," Edward replied.

"Ha-ha," Kaiden laughed sarcastically. "I heal as fast you do, I am as strong as you are, what makes you think it's going to be that easy?" The more Kaiden talked, Cedric tried to sneak up behind Edward and just when he leapt to attack, Edward turned and grabbed the nightwalker and what happened next shocked everyone. He buried his fangs on Cedric's neck and sucked the life out of the man, dropping an empty carcass on the floor. Cedric was dried up of any liquid in his body and all was left were dried bones that curled up on the floor and looking ashy.

Kaiden looked up from the horror to the man and asked, "what are you?"

"I don't know and I don't care," Edward replied and attacked, sending Kaiden into defensive mode.

"Esta llen de us ta por, malicia ande la tiem an dia," Melissa chanted and Edward's red eyes landed on her. He quickly darted at her and she increased her chant and right before Edward could touch her, a bright light enveloped her and threw Edward away, smacking the man on the wall and the remaining shelves fell and potions clashed on the floor. A shelf fell on the cauldron, causing it to trip and green liquid spilled, coating the floor as it pooled at the edge of the room. Melissa continued with her chant and Edward started fidgeting on the ground. Kaiden took it as an opportunity and rushed the man, impaling his claws in his stomach.

"What in the world is happening here," A voice said and turning around, Melissa saw her sisters and quickly urged them to join her in her chants.

Kaiden growled and aimed for Edward's heart but before his claws could touch him, Edward grabbed the man's hand and his blood red eyes burned brighter as he tried to escape Melissa and her sister's spell. Kaiden started chanting the spell as well and Edward threw his head back and screamed in pain. Kaiden started pressing his hand down, trying to get his claws into his chest but Edward refused, holding his hand tightly and pushing his hand back while they attacked him with spells.

A bolt of light flew into the room and dispersed Melissa and her sisters and they screamed and fell in different directions of the room. With the distraction, Edward raised his head and snarled at Kaiden before hitting him on the chest and sending the man away. He sat up on the floor and coughed and when he looked up from the space on the wall, he saw Irene and some wolves with Malachi and Rasmus.

"Hello mother, why don't you pick up someone your own size?" Irene said and sent another lightning bolt at Melissa who quickly raised a shield to protect herself. Sean and Steven quickly rushed a red-haired witch that was trying to get up from the ground, surprising her with their long sharp teeth that was impaled on her body.

"Ah," Merinda screamed and tried to fight off the black and red wolves.
Mary saw the glowing blue eyes of a big grey wolf stalking up to her and started crawling on the floor to get away from it, however, a tall man dressed in black blocked her part. "Going somewhere, witch?" Malachi asked and flashed his fangs just as Damien leaped on her and bit her on the neck, making her scream.

"Sister, help," Merinda screamed.

"No, me, help me," Mary shouted as well, but unfortunately, Melissa was trying to protect herself from Irene who kept sending bolt after bolt of light balls at her, not giving her the space to even get up or attack as well.

Rasmus rushed to Aliyah immediately and started untying her while Edward finally got himself back and stood up, stalking to where Kaiden was lying unconscious. He picked him up and Kaiden opened his eyes to see Edward's red ones turning blue. Seeing that, his eyes widened in shock for he recognized the power immediately. "The eternal fire, it chose you?" He hissed in an annoyance but Edward didn't care as he signaled the fire at him. Kaiden screamed as he felt his insides burning with an unquenchable flame.

However, black smokes suddenly filled the room, blinding everyone and with it came a voice, "oh no, not today my dark prince," the feminine voice chuckled and with that, Malachi and Damien were thrown away from Mary by an invisible force and Sean and Steven were tied up by the dark smoke, preventing them from moving. Irene had to let Melissa go to defend herself from the smoke and so built up a shield to protect herself.

A form of smoke swam to Rasmus and Aliyah, intending to take her away but Edward growled and sent out a bolt of blue fire to the smoke, forcing it to withdraw.

"Ouch, that hurts," the woman said and right then, she appeared in the room still covered in her cloak. "Prince Edward, I see the demon fire chose you, making you it's successor. No wonder I sensed that you are more demon now than a nightwalker, but do you know what else I noticed?" She chuckled, "finally, your heart is as black as mine. Courtesy of cheating death. I assume Selene never told you that when a soul cheats death and goes back to it's original body, it loses part of himself to darkness, to me," she cackled. "You belong to me now Prince Edward, finally, I have claimed you from Selene. Don't worry, we will have a better meeting than this, so ciao my dark prince," she chuckled and with that, she, Kaiden, Melissa and her sisters disappeared from the room.
