**Maryam's pov**

After much thought I decided to knock on Aaryan's room. he's been there for the past three days without coming out.

he only comes out when he goes to work, I felt drifted away from Aaryan and I had to change things. I wanted to tell him how much it hurts me when I see him in this state, and that's what I'm going to do.

I knocked slowly on his door and he opened it immediately letting me inn, I could see a lot of emotion in his eyes, he looked stressed and pale. his eyes held so many emotions which if told through words will make me breakdown.

"Should I come in or do you want me to stay here" I said and I heard him chuckle as he stepped aside for me to walk inn only to find a very disarranged room.

His pillows were on the floor, his duvet looked out of place and the worst part was how his cloth were laid.

"Wow  I exclaimed and he rolled his eyes .

" How can I help you ? "he sounded a bit bossy.

"you can help me by Arranging this room so let's get started" I said and he sighed While picking up the pillows which laid carelessly on the floor.

"Even a rat will run away from this room" I muttered beneath my breath but Aaryan heard me.

"I don't see the rat running away " He said with a smirk as we both Arranged the bed.

"me, I'm not a rat" I said while I laid the duvet properly on the bed "and as for your cloths I'll take it out for laundry" I said while I kept his dirty cloth in his laundry basket.

"so why are you here?" he asked as he sat on the bed.

"For you" I said as I sat next to him on the bed.

"me? What?" he said like a child and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Aaryan what's wrong?" I asked as I held his hand which seemed rather too cold.

"As in?, I don't get you " he said feigning innocence.

"You've not been yourself lately and you're always locked up in these rat cage" I said and he let out a chuckle as expected.

"Tell me, what's bothering you?" I said and he looked away.

"Many things" he simply said

"Like what?" I said and he let out a heavy sigh.

"I'm sorry " he said and his words sounded Foriegn to my ear.

"For what?" I said.

"For being mean?, for always hurting you" he said and I let out a chuckle at how rhetoric his first statement was .

"All is forgiven" I said with a smile.

" friends? " I said while passing my right hand to him and he shook it unhesitatingly and I couldn't help but smile and so did he.

"yeah friends, maimai" he said and I chuckled.

"Maimai?, what's that?" I asked.

"A nickname which I've always wanted to call you" he said with a grin on his face and I let out a laughter which I've held in.

"OK I'll go downstairs now to get you food and before i come back go and take a bath M" I said and he chuckled Before entering into his walk-in closet which had an adjoined bathroom. and I walked out to the kitchen where I saw Bilal and Amal laughing hysterically.

"And that's how he decided to seize my phone" Amal said and Bilal laughed hard, holding onto his Tommy as he laughed.

"What are you two talking about? " I said. I winked at Amal who just hissed.

"Hey mary please can you put some pan cake and syrup out for me?" I told mary who seemed to be busy with her work.

"Yes Sure madam" mary said as she set out to do the task which I've instructed.

"And two cup of Orange juice" I Added and Mary did as told.

"So why are you guys so bubbly?" I asked as I used my shoulder to hit Amal who rolled her eyes.

"Amal was just telling me about her dad" he said and I chuckled remembering Amals dad who is a fierce man.

"Mam its all ready" Mary said and I collected the tray from her and told her a thank you.

"Some people can eat I swear " Amal teased and I hissed as I walked out saying something which made Amal to cough.

"Some people can crush on Bilal" I said as I walked inn and I heard amal coughing which made me laugh as I walked upstairs, to Aaryan's room.

"Asalamualaikum" I said as I entered into the room where I saw Aaryan spraying some hair spray All over his hair.

"Walaikisalam" he said excitedly and I dropped the tray on the centre table

"Thank you " Aaryan muttered as he chewed on the last piece of pancake.

"Wow men can eat" I said and he chuckled.

" so can women" he said and I rolled my eyes.

"Maimai wanna get icecream later on?" Aaryan said and I nodded excitedly and I couldn't help but shout a yes and he chuckled.

"Don't tell Amal" I said.

"Why?, stingy" he said and I rolled my eyes at the second nickname which he Has given me.

"I have to give you a nickname since you have given me two " I said and he just laughed.

"How about uhmmmmm" i said with my hand on my chin.

"Just save it, I'm better at giving nicknames you know" he said as he stroke some invisible dirt off he's shirt. "how egoistic"

"Mr ego " I said and I heard him hiss in between Laughing like a maniac. And seeing him laugh brought joy to my heart.

It has been two weeks since Aaryan and I became friends and sincerely he's the best friend I could ever ask for, he's always there to make me laugh when I get upset. and our friendship blossoms day by day and so does my love for him.

"Can I come inn?" I heard Aaryan's voice as he walked into my room.

"Yeah" I said and he sat on my bed close to me.

"I got a gift for you maimai " he said passing me a diamond bracelet.

"No no, this is too expensive" I said as I passed the bracelet over to him.

" and so is your smile" he said and I couldn't help but smile sheepishly.

" May I?" he said as he took my hand in his.

"I said no the gift is too expensive" I said but I really liked it but its too expensive.

"Maimai if you don't collect this gift then I'll not talk to you again" he said feigning hurt.

"Then don't" I said.

"Okey suit yourself " he said as he dropped the bracelet on my lap and was about to leave .

"Take your bracelet, I don't want it" I said sounding childish.

"Take your bracelet ,I don't want it " he said while imitating how I spoke . "this my tiny voice"

"Maimai just wear it please, for our friendship" he said pouting as he walked over to where I sat with my hand still across my chest .

"I'll take it on one condition" I said sounding as firm as I could because I wanted to laugh.

"What?" he said as he sat down next to me.

"Pout again" I said holding onto his cheeks and he pouted.

"Like this?" he said while pouting and I couldn't help but smile as he pouted.

"So you'll wear it?" he asked and I agreed as he wore it for me.

"It doesn't look that bad " he said while swinging my hand back and fort and I hissed.

"Take your gift" I said as I playfully removed it.

"No maimai I was joking" he said and I still feigned hurt and he chuckled Probably because he could see through my pretence.

"Drama queen" he said and I chuckled while he just hissed. We kept on talking until it was time for magrib so we decided to pray together
