Maryam's p.o.v

I was hurt when I saw lailah with Aaryan who didn't seem to care about me at all, he was so focused on his lailah that he didn't notice my presence at the door step but that will not stop me from going to see Aaryan.

"Mrs Aaryan" the doctor called bringing me out of my deep thought.

"yes doctor" I said as I walked gently to where the doctor stood with some files in his hand.

"your husband is awake and he's in the room, won't you go to him?"the doctor asked and I nodded.

" yes I'll go see him, I was actually planing on going to him" I said before walking slowly to Aaryan's room where I turned the door knob and opened it only to find Aaryan asleep.

so I walked in and took a Chair and sat before him. "Aaryan!" I called softly as I took his hands in mine and I could see his eyes move as though he wasn't asleep.

"maryam"Aaryan called softly as he tightened the grip of our hands.

"why didn't you come to see me?" he asked Rather angry but sad.

"I had to get some medicine for you" I lied in other to make the situation less awkward.

"it took you so long " he said as though he was searching for the truth in my eyes.

"why don't you take enough water" I said in other to change the situation from awkward to less awkward.

"I don't like water" he said as he sat up on the bed.

"and where's the medicine in which you bought?" he asked like a cop who was conducting an investigation on a criminal who committed murder.

"they didn't have it in stock and that's why I was late" I said.

"OK" he said but I could clearly see that he knew I was lying.

"did you bring food for me?" he asked as he adjusted his arm.

"didn't lailah bring food for you?" I said in a sad tone.

"she didn't "he said looking straight into my eyes.

"I didn't bring you food, I'll go get you food from the canteen outside" i said as I tried hiding my eyes in other to hide the tears that were threatening to spill.

"why aren't you looking at me?"he while  stretching his hands forward in other to pull my face towards him.

"you're crying, why? " he said making me higher my sobs.

"maryam!" he said as he cleaned the tears on my eyes.

"maryam whats wrong?" he asked holding onto my shoulder and pulling me towards his chest.

"don't cry please, is it because of lailah?" he said almost in a chuckle and that made me sob harder.

"don't touch me"i said pushing his hands away from my shoulder.

"I'm sorry"he said as he cleaned the tears on my cheeks.

"Aaryan you made me scared I thought you had died when I saw you on the floor, why don't you take care of yourself?, please don't do this again. I beg of you" I said in between sobs and he hugged me tight.

" I'm sorry maryam, I won't fall sick again but I won't promise"he said whilst winking at me.

" Aaryan what if you had died, what if I wasn't on time?. what if..."I was cut short when he used his index finger to shush me.

"maryam I won't die, and why do you care so much about me as it is we won't be with each other for that long. is either I divorce you or marry lailah "he said and I'm certain that my heart had fallen into my stomach.

"you're right I shouldn't care about you, you're not worth it "I said before getting up dramatically and storming off in clear rage.

"maryam"he said stopping me in my pace.

"I want food" he said holding onto his tommy.

"call lailah" I said before walking out. I don't know what is it Aaryan is trying to do, I don't know if he's just trying to get on my nerves but if he is, he has. I love him so much and I don't wanna lose him to lailah or anyone.
