Ms. Sumi turned on some background music. Shoto began with staking backward and then working on fluid transition by switching to skating forewarn in the same direction. Then he worked simple step sequence. Expression with arms was something he didn't understand yet, so Ms. Sumi made him practice moving his arm in sequence with his legs. During previous training he had fallen many times, "but not today" he thought "cause today Victor is here," as soon as he thought that he tripped and face planted into the ice. "Argh, stupid you jinxed" Shoto mumbled to himself.

He got up and begun again. After about 10 minutes Ms. Sumi called him over. "Good work Shoto, today I am going to show you how to pull off a combination spin." Shoto nodded and watched as Ms. Sumi gained speed to begin the spin. She started with one leg out and the other spinning on the ice. Then she bent the spinning leg and slowly went down. Tucking the leg that was and then letting drag along the surface of the ice so she could stand back up. Shoto repeated this but tripped as soon as he brought his leg in. "Don't be to hasty," Ms. Sumi called. He tried again,tripping once more. It took him around 3 more try's to successfully showcase a sloppy version of her spin.

Ms. Sumi sighed resting her cheek in her hand "it's progress, but you still look like an elephant on skates." Shoto nodded, she was right his movements were big and lacked any grace or rhythm. "Excuse me," Victor called from the side of the rink, "can I take a whirl at instructing him?"

"Sure, I don't see why not." Victor skated out onto the ice in training wear, most likely planning to intervene when he was given the opportunity. "Shoto, come here let me see your skating form when you prep for your jumps." Shoto did as he was instructed. Victor watched thoughtfully then claimed "your form is gorgeous when you prepare for your jumps. Jump prep is just like movement prep, maybe if you think of you movement as incomplete jumps maybe that will help" (I have no idea if this is accurate advice ☺️). "Now let's see you do the spin again," Victor instructed. Shoto once again followed instruction, miraculously improving from his previous attempt. Ms.Sumi and Victor applauded him. This made Shoto very happy.

After practice Victor gave Shoto a ride. However, they didn't go straight home. They went to a hot spring around 15 miles down the road. Victor parked and beckoned Shoto to join him. Once inside Victor was greet by an old woman who gave him a big hug. "Oh Victor it's so good to see you dear, thank you for coming down to visit!" She smiled widely, "oh who is this dapper young man" she asked gesturing to Shoto. "Hello Ma'am, my name is Todoroki Shoto pleasure to meet you. I am Victors younger cousin."

"Aww, your such a dear. And Victor, Yuri is waiting for you in his room." Victor thanked the woman and headed up some stairs to the right.  Shoto smirked knowingly. This was Victor's husband, he wondered what the man would be like. They walked to the end of the hall which had a door. Victor knocked.
