Everleigh:

The past few days have been pure bliss. No fights, no threats, no kidnappings no nothing. But sadly all good things must come to an end.

I'm currently with a big part of the family sitting on the beach enjoying the sand and sea. Rose is sitting next to me playing with wet sand as the boys are playing in the water.

I still can't believe that I'm gonna have a baby boy and that I have become Mrs Mortimer and then it will be my coronation. My mother said that all these things would never happen to me! Ha proved her wrong!

"Hey, baby what are you thinking about?" My gorgeous husband sat next to me placing his hand lovingly on my ever so round stomach, his touch calming me down.

"Just about all this and how grateful I am to have you and all these blessings in my life. That, and I really want a salted caramel ice cream." I honestly spoke having a mini foodgasm thinking about that ice cream. I knew he could feel how I felt and if he really wanted to read my mind he could but he respects my space.

"But you hate caramel," Asher spoke confusedly. I put my hands up in surrender.

"Not my fault. Blame your son's weird food fetishes." I pointed at my belly getting a little kick in response. His deep chuckle erupted from next to me sending all sorts of butterflies in me.

"Ok then, ice cream it is." He helped me get up as he called all the gang that was composed of Asher, me, Damon, Rose, Carter, Paul and Clair. Ray and Annie had left to visit Ray's extended family from his previous pack that lived an hour away from where we were.

We arrived at the ice cream parlour and I was jumping with excitement when the employee handed me what I had been craving for the past hour.

"Heaven."

I whispered ogling the creamy goodness before devouring it. Us adults sat on a bench in front of this space that had water jets coming from the floor where a lot of kids where playing in. I was scared to death about the kids going there since the last time they were playing in such a public area they got kidnapped but since I need to get over that fear and I don't want to be one of the mums that transmit their fears to their children. My wolf was still on guard making me jumpy too.

"Go on kids, mummy and daddy will be watching you. Have fun." I knew that the kids really wanted to go and have fun and I wasn't going to stop them.

After about fifteen minutes give or take a few, an ear-piercing scream that I would recognise from anywhere made us all stand in an alert.

"Rose." I breathed outstanding up and fast waddling to where the kids where my wolf fighting to take control.

Rose was wrapped up in her brother's arms. I stopped in my tracks analysing the scene as I saw all three boys with their teeth bared and their wolves coming to the surface as all their eyes had changed colour ready to shift if needed, on full alert scaring the living daylights out of several people around.

"Rose baby girl what happened?" I questioned ungluing her from her brother.

"I-i thought I- I saw him." She choked out in sobs.

"Who Rose?" I inquired looking a little panicked at Asher and Clair.

"Him." She broke out in more tears before I could ask her anything more. She was Cleary still traumatised by all this.

"We are going home. Now." I roared out picking her up fighting against Asher's pleas for him to take her. I grabbed Damo's hand, who was In a sort of daze from his sister crying.

Well, that moment of bliss was short-lived. I sighed to myself once the plane flew off back to New-York.

"You alright?" I turned and asked Asher since he was furiously typing on his laptop with one hand and his phone in the other.

"Honestly Everleigh? I feel like there is somebody after us and the person I am thinking of that may be behind all this is not making me feel any better. " He ran a hand over his face in stress.

"Who do you think it is?" I pushed.

"I don't want you to stress about it before I am completely sure that it is really him. Remember what the doctor said, no stress during this pregnancy. You emptied all that when you had the car crash. Now you will do me the favour of resting and dropping the subject and letting me handle things, for the moment there is nothing to worry about." He kissed my forehead and gave me the look that said 'I am in no mood to discuss this further with you but I still love you' sort of look.

Before I knew it the sandy beaches of California were exchanged for the hustle and bustle of the city. But I was glad to be home. I needed that break but nothing can replace the feeling of coming back home.

September soon rolled over and Damo was in school and Rose was going to nursery to socialise three times a week. The memories of the kidnapping were gone like the waves on a beach along with the summer fun. Mine and Annie's baby shower was just around the corner and we would soon finish our collection of baby supplies to last us a lifetime.

"You ready to open your presents girls?" Clair's voice broke me out of my thoughts. She handed Annie and I our first presents each excitement swirling in her blue eyes.

After a million baby grows and other necessities to have a baby, my last present was given to me. I loved acting like 'normal' humans and following their traditions.

"Open it, mummy!"

It was a gift from Rose and Damon with a little help from Asher. I ripped the paper open to find an otter soft toy that had a blue bow around its neck with a name tag that had 'Lunar Reign' in cursive writing on it.

"I love it, thank you my loves" I kissed them both on the cheeks.

"It's for baby Ollie!" Rose squealed out.

Rose is going through a phase where she loves one type of animal and those are otters. And since then she has been calling the new baby 'Ollie' which to her is close to 'otter'. I find it sweet really and it's starting to grow on me.
