Everleigh :

I woke up early with Asher to finish up all the last details. The kids slept with us once again last night. These nightmares really need to stop because a) I can't sleep and b) it kills me to see my kids too scared that they will be taken again.

Damon has been trying to "man up" a little too quickly. He doesn't let Rose out of his sight too long, it's truly sweet that he takes care of her like that but I want him to enjoy his childhood and not be constantly on guard for danger.

Asher does that already and I don't want my 5-year-old to start now as his father, I guess it's an Alpha thing.

After getting all the bags and kids in the car we bid our goodbyes to the guys and let Carter and Paul with us on the trip and leaving Ray in charge over here till we arrive in California. We had contacted the Alpha of that state to see if we could stay for a couple weeks and it turned out that is was one of Asher's distant cousin that ran it.

We arrive at the airport in record time, once we passed security and all that jazz Ash lead us to our private jet that I just discovered we had.
"Wow." Was all I could muster seeing the plane and same once I saw the inside of it.

There was plenty of room for the kids and us and on top of that, there was a real bathroom and a bedroom with a king size bed. You wouldn't have thought of that when you saw the outside of the plane.
The pilot asked us to buckle ourselves in as the ride was going to be short since the weather was so clement.

The kids had fallen asleep as I laid my head on my future King's shoulder and let sleep consume me.

"Wake up babe. We are here." His soft voice rang in my ear as he shook me lightly to wake me up.

I opened my eyes to fall upon the familiar blue orbs that he shares with our daughter.

"Hey." I breathed out.

"Hey." He said back kissing the top of my head making my heart flutter.

Asher helped me out of my seat then down the plane stairs where at the bottom was waiting for us, a very nice car and the boys each with a child in their arms. I was greeted with the scorching heat of the Californian sun.

"Jesus wept! It's bloody boiling! " I fanned my self with no luck only making matters worse.

I sat in front and sighed in content as the air con hit my face. With this pregnancy, my wolf hasn't been regulating our body temperature very well and it's driving me mad.

The car ride was silent as Ash drove us to the beach house.

"We are here kiddos." He exclaimed with a hint of excitement in his voice.

We only had the kids in the car because Paul and Carter came to drop off the bags and check if everything was safe before heading back to Chicago and take care of things over there. This holiday is only going to be us, Asher, Rose, Damon and I. Just us, as a family.

We came into the house as the boys left the bags in the hall and the kids ran around choosing their rooms.

"Welcome home, angel." Ash came up behind me placing his arms around my waist and resting his hands on my very round belly rubbing small circles.

"Want to head to the beach?" He asked. I nodded my head even if I was really tired after today's travelling but I've been dying to put my toes in the sand.

After putting on a swimsuit and smothering the kids in suncream we all headed off to the private beach that was just in front of the house when you walk past the two bay windows in the kitchen or living room.

We set our things down in a nice spot and Ash planted an umbrella to create a little shade.

Since we had arrived late afternoon the sun was starting to set so before it got too cold to swim since Rose had already lived by the beach but was too young to remember and I knew that Damo hadn't seen the sea before Ash and I lead them to the sea.
Damo took hold of Rose's hand and I just melted at the sight.

"It's ok Roro. we can go, mummy and Daddy are behind us." He told Rose to give her a little confidence boost. The sight was just too sweet I needed to snap a picture of that moment.

I had on only a bikini bottom and one of Ash's t-shirts not feeling up to go full out this late in the day. I followed both kids in, not too far in but just enough so that the water came up to just below their knees to that they could play in the shallow waters.

I was enjoying the cool breeze and the water at my feet, the children playing when I was cut out of my reverie with the sweet sound of Asher's deep laugh and the sound of a camera snap.

"Asher!" I squealed. He simply laughed harder and looked at his phone.

"You look stunning." He smiled at me showing the picture.

I must admit I looked really nice. So at peace.

"Beautiful." He whispered in my ear. She shared a long kiss before heading back to the house to eat.

We made something simple for dinner and bathed the kids before heading off to bed.

"Asher?" I questioned turning to face him.

"Mmmm" he mumbled half asleep.

"Do you think we will ever see the end of this whole story? The constant fear of the children being taken away? What will happen with the new baby?" My nerves were all over the place.

"I won't let anything or anyone bring any harm to this family as long as I live. I promise." Our eyes met and a wave of comfort washed over me.

"I want to get married. Like now. So that we can have the titles of King and Queen to keep my mother out the way." I blurted out. His eyes held as much shock I felt at my words.

"Like the ceremony and all that?" He questioned sitting up straight.

"More like the courthouse, but yeah a wedding ASAP. We could have the proper ceremony mixed with the coronation later on." I clarified. He looked at me and then at the ring on my finger than at me once more.

"If that's what you want then that's what we will do. " he kissed my hand like a true gentleman and left a chaste kiss on my lips placing a hand on my belly holding our future child.

"I love you," I called out.

"And I, you." We kissed again and I soon fell into a deep slumber.
