Epilogue.

Eleven Years Later.

It has been eleven years since Yusuf left but he sends a daily email to Armaan to tell her how he is and everything that he has been up to.

Today is Armaan's high school graduation and she couldn't be more excited than she already is.

There are many reasons why she is happy, one of them is that she had been accepted into her dream university to pursue the career that has always been in her mind and heart.

A doctor.

A surgeon to be exact.

"Aru, you will be late and you know you have to give a speech....."

Her mother says to her that Hanan didn't know that Armaan has been awake since she prayed her Fajr prayers and didn't even rest after that as she usually does.

She is currently sitting on her laptop sending an email to none other than Yusuf telling him about her graduation and speech.

"I am awake, mamma. Just need to tie my hijab and then eat breakfast", she answers her mother and then shuts her laptop after sending the email to Yusuf.

Even though they hadn't sent each other their pictures, Armaan knew he wasn't that bad looking.

Armaan walked out of her room and found her siblings waiting for her at her door.

"Congratulations to you our dear sister", they say to her making Armaan smile and kneel to hug them.

The twins are now almost eleven years old and they always look up to Armaan who has been their role model just like their parents.

"Thank you so much, Maher and Mahira. Now let's go and have breakfast then you guys will come with me to get to my graduation but you will have to on your best behaviour", Armaan says to her siblings and walked with them down the stairs to the dining room to where their parents were.

"Asalam Aleikum, mamma and dad. How are you doing?", Armaan greeted her parents who smiled at her.

"Waleikum salaam, habibty. We are good alhamdullilah. Your mamma called you for about five minutes but you didn't answer. What were you doing?", her father Fahd asks her. Before she could even answer. He immediately knew what she was doing. "I know, did he reply this time? Aru, it has been almost six months since he sent a reply to you...."

"I know that dad but its not like he my husband or anything. I just hope that he is alright. That's all. I promise", Armaan tells her father.

But her parents knew better because Armaan has always been waiting for Yusuf's email ever since they were kids but ever since he started somewhat avoiding her.

"That's enough. Now finish your food and then we need to get you to your graduation and then after three months you go to your dream university. Are you sure you don't want to take more time?", her mother Hanan asks her.

"Mamma, three months are enough for me. Besides, this has always been my dream and to make you and dad proud of me. So the answer to your question is no, I don't need more time", Armaan tells her mother.

Meanwhile, Yusuf was on his laptop reading the email that Armaan sent to him. He began avoiding her when he accidentally saw her picture on her Instagram page. Yusuf knew that he can't be with her because of the feelings that were starting to emerge.

"Are you still no replying to her?", his little sister asked him.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be getting ready to pack or mum and dad would get mad at you?", Yusuf tells Fauzia while closing his laptop.

"I am almost done, brother. But you didn't answer my question. Why did you stop replying to her emails? She must be feeling like you have forgotten her and that's not good big brother....."

"Zia, you are still young and you don't know what you are saying. We are different from each other and now, go and finish packing because in three months I will be going to the university and promise me that you wont give mum and dad and problems", Yusuf tells his sister.

Fauzia, Maher, and Mahira are almost the same age.

"Fine but don't ignore her because one day you might see her differently....."

"Zia. How do you even know all of this? You are almost twelve years old. Concentrate on your studies and don't think about love or being in a relationship", Yusuf asks his sister. He was more shocked than surprised to hear those words come out of his sister's mouth.

I don't need a distraction from her or anyone else. All I need is to get what I want the most and that's to be a doctor. But Allah knows best, for all of us and what we need in our futures.

"Fine, but don't regret what you are doing. Bye, brother", Zia tells him and leaves his room.

Hanan, Fahd, and their children arrived at Armaan's graduation with smiles on their faces.

"Mamma, I want to go and see Inaya, and the others. So can I?", Armaan asks her mother who nods at her. "Thank you", she added before running to where her best friends were.

"Are you excited that we get to graduate and go to our dream universities?", Inaya asks her best friend.

"Yes, I am so excited. But always remember to keep in touch and don't forget that we will best friends forever", Farha tells the girls but that won't be the case as something will happen and they will have to separate from each other.

Sometimes people want different things from the people they are close to.

"In shaa Allah. In three months I will be joining Shehzad University and might be busy the first entire semester and I will miss you guys", Armaan tells her best friends.

She was closer to Inaya than Farha as they grew up as neighbors first since they were in their diapers.

"Why three months when you can take longer just like me?", Farha asks her.

"Because it is what she needs, Farha. It has always been her dream to be a doctor before we even met you", Inaya answers Farha while Armaan watched how she will react.

Inaya and Farha have never gotten along because of their differences either religious or even studies.

Farha has always been a party girl even though she is a Muslim while Inaya is a hijabi girl and is somewhat of a nerd just like Armaan.

"Girls, I think that's enough. Come on, let's go find our seats", Armaan tells them and took their hands dragging them to their assigned seats.

Armaan knew that if she didn't stop them, there would be war and she didn't want that.

Armaan knew that if she didn't stop them, there would be war and she didn't want that.

They watched as the speeches were done by the guests and it was time for them to collect their diplomas and for the valedictorian speech which is to be done by Armaan.

Let's do this. I wish you were here but I guess people were right when they say that long-distance friendships don't work. You are my past and that's where you will be.

Armaan got up and walked to the podium to make her speech.

"Hello, fellow graduates and teachers,

I won't have a long speech because I know most people would be dozing off due to the boring speeches, right?

All I want to say is that don't give up no matter what and no matter who tells you to do so. Because you have a right to decide what your future will be like and no one else.

Just you.

But always remember to take your parents' advice when it comes to the decisions you will try to make in your life.

And to everyone, happy graduations"

Everyone cheered and threw their graduation caps.

"Congratulations habibty", Armaan's parents tell her. They hugged their daughter smiling knowing that she is on her way to achieving her dreams.

The dreams of being a surgeon ever since she was a kid, Armaan was always been amazed by the series that was shown on television about surgeries and medical stuff.

"Thank you, mamma and dad. I love you so much".

But Armaan couldn't help but think of Yusuf.

Will he ever reply? As Mahira says, it is his loss, not mine. Thanks, little sister.

Armaan was too busy to notice that someone was busy staring at her while she was busy with her friends.

She could feel someone watching her but when Armaan turned around she didn't see anyone there.

"It could be my imagination".

Fahd and Hanan looked at their daughter who was taking pictures with her other classmates smiling and being happy.

"Thank you for coming into my life and making me believe in love and also for loving Aru as your own daughter", Hanan tells her husband.

"I should thank you for healing me. For giving me a second life that I never knew that I needed and for giving me the chance to be a father to Armaan. She is and will always be my daughter, Hanan", Fahd answers his wife while bringing her into his arms.

"Fahd, we are at our daughter's graduation so stop whatever you are thinking, love", Hanan tells him.

"Okay that's enough romance dad. It is time to go and celebrate Aru's graduation", Maher tells his parents.

"I can romance with my wife...."

"Dad...."

"Fahd..."

Armaan and Hanan yelled at Fahd who shrugged and held his wife's hand and led his family to the car.

"Okay, where do you want to go?", he asks his family.

"Let Aru choose dad", the twins tell their father who looked at Hanan.

"Okay, then. Aru, where do you want to go?", he asks his daughter.

"You know where, dad. Our favorite place", Armaan tells him.

Fahd knew exactly where to go to celebrate one of his daughter's success.

This is my family. I should thank Faryal for breaking me because of that I met the woman who gave me everything that I could ever need. Three amazing children and my wife Hanan. So thank you Faryal for breaking my heart.

"I love you", Fahd mouthed at his wife who smiled and said it back to him.
