Fahd's Nightmares.

Nightmares are the ones that would keep Fahd from sleeping, no one knew about them.

Not even his own family and including his parents.

It was time for him to go to his room to get some sleep as he showed Hanan where she would sleep just for tonight.

Fahd complemented about taking the sleeping pills that he would take because of the nightmares that would haunt him and keep him awake all night.

Fahd didn't want anyone else to know about them, especially Hanan and Armaan.

The two most important people in his life apart from his parents.

Fahd moved out of his parent's house precisely due to the nightmares he has begun having even seen that day of his accident caused by none other than Faryal.

He has yet to forgive her and move on but how will he do that when he wouldn't even open up to Hanan?

But Fahd didn't take his medication as he forgot where he kept them.

He didn't know that it would bring Hanan and him closer than ever.

As the night progressed, Hanan needed to get some water as she was feeling thirsty when she heard shouting that came from Fahd's room.

"No, no. Please stop".

Hanan ran to the room and knocked on the door but no one answered because all she heard was shouting and crying coming out from the room.

She couldn't hold it any longer and opened the door to find Fahd trashing the bed and sweating.

"Help me, please"

Hanan slowly walked to him and started walking him up.

"Fahd, its okay. No one will hurt you...."

He opened his eyes upon seeing her, Fahd pulled her into his arms and held her tightly.

"Shh, its okay. I am here, no one will hurt you anymore, in shaa Allah", Hanan tried to assure him but Fahd didn't let her go.

"I thought I lost you and Armaan..."

"Hey, listen here. You won't lose me or Aru", she assures him and took her hands wiping his face that was filled with tears. "What happened, Fahd? And please don't lie to me", she added knowing that he might not tell her.

But she needed to know what triggered the nightmares and it wasn't something that would be taken easily.

"I don't....."

"Listen, I will tell you what Aunt Hayat told me when I was about six months pregnant with Aru. She said that; "Don't let fear rule over you. If you do, you are letting it in your life and you won't be able to be free from it. Fear is just something that you will have to get rid of so that you will be what you are meant to be". She is my motivator and she always knew exactly what to say to us when we need her advice", Hanan interrupts him. "I was about to give up on everything but when you have someone like Aunt Hayat in your life, that's not an option", she added smiling at him.

"I am scared, Hanan. Scared that I will end up getting hurt by...."

"Love. I know that, Fahd. But love is beautiful when its true and when it comes from your heart. Just like the love for our Aru. The love we feel for her, its true and real", she answered him making him smile.

"Thank you", he tells her. Before she could ask why. "For giving me a chance to be with Armaan even if its borrowed time...."

"Fahd, whatever you are thinking stop. Because Armaan considers you as her dad. And I can't take that away from her. Except one day I will....we will have to tell her the truth about Riaz. And that he abandoned her...us for money", she tells him. "Now, drink some water so that you can go back to sleep as it is already late," she tells him while giving him a glass of water.

"Thank you".

As she was about to leave when Fahd held her hand making her turn to face him.

"Whats wrong?" Hanan asks as she takes a seat on the bed.

"I...Can you stay with me, please? I promise that I will not touch you, " he tells her.

Hanan knew that this is about his nightmares. She wanted to be there for him even if its just for tonight.

"Okay, I will stay but....."

"I know what you want", he says getting up from the bed and going to the closet to get more pillows to put in the middle of the bed. "This is much better, right?" he added.

Hanan couldn't help but laugh at him. The memories that they had when they were kids were just like this.

Their parents would take the camping in the backyard of Hayat who would provide them with everything and including tents separate boys and girls.

"Okay, now we can sleep", he tells her laying down on the bed.

Hanan lay down on the other side of the bed facing Fahd who had a huge smile on his face.

"I wish you brought Aru here", he tells her. "But I know that we wont be sleeping here, instead we would be camping in the living room just like when we were kids", he added smiling.

"I didn't even know that it would be your address that Saira had given me let alone that I would find you hurt. By the way, how did you get hurt?", she ask him.

Fahd wanted to tell her exactly what happened at the brothel with Riaz. As he didn't want to worry her any more than she was when she found out that their Armaan was taken by that person.

"I am waiting, Fahd. I know, do you want me to call Armaan here to....."

"Hanan, now that's blackmail. Okay, fine I will tell you but promise me that you wont get mad, okay?", he asks her.

"Okay, I promise. Now tell me", she tells him.

Fahd began explaining to her in detail what happened at the brothel including his beating up Riaz, Hanan didn't even look surprised let alone shocked to know that he would do that to defend her and their Armaan.

Okay. Is that all?" Hanan asks surprising Fahd. "What? Did you think that I would be mad because you defend me and Armaan against that man? The answer to your question is no, Fahd. I am not mad. I want to thank you for doing that even though you didn't have to. So thank you", she added surprising him more than ever.

"You are wrong about that, Hanan. It is my duty to defend you and Armaan from anyone who would try and hurt you", he tells her making her smile.

"Okay now get some sleep and then when you are ready to tell me about your nightmares. I will be right here listening to you", she tells him.

"Thank you".

Hanan smiled at him and then closed her eyes letting sleep take over her.

Fahd couldn't help but look at her face. He had unanswered questions that will always remain unanswered.

How did she get over everything that happened in her life?

She must have a lot of faith and hope to be where she is now.

How could anyone let someone like Hanan go, and reject the pure angel Armaan?

I have fallen in love with her but I can't bring them into my life which is a mess. I have to fix my life before letting them in.

But the one thing that's keeping Fahd away from giving Hanan his heart is the course of his nightmares.

The accident almost made him lose his life. Everyone thought that it was nothing but an accident but Fahd knew better than anyone.

His brakes were tampered with by someone who wanted him dead.

By who was it?

Could it be Faryal, that he wasn't sure about? But he needed to find out before letting Hanan into his life.

Because all this time, Fahd thought it was Faryal who was responsible for what happened to him.

Keeping both Armaan and Hanan was his priority and he needed to fulfill it no matter what.

The only one who can help him knowing who tampered with his breaks is Azaan.
