"I Cried when you left me but I laughed when I saw what you left me for "
For three months after Virat's first official tour as a player of the Indian team & withdrawl from college, we were still in contact, talking whenever we got time & suddenly one day it stoped, no calls, nothing, I waited, I tried to call him but nothing happened everytime their were no answers, I was scared about him but watching the news captions about him every now & then gave me some much needed relief, he was slowly becoming a star while I was still his number one & first fan. In mid of it all come the marriage proposal, a friend more like buisness partner of Dad suggested this ideal relationship, my marriage with the eldest son of his brother, I don't know what got inside Dad's head but he thought this was the perfect match.
A week later they were in my house, fixing the marriage date which came after six months, thank God for small mercies. That night I really wanted to talk to him discuss all my worries with him, but no matter how much I tried the call won't be connected, I cried that night
While Akansha spoke this Gurjeet & Abeer glared daggers at Virat
"Hey, don't look like that at me, glare Jadu if you want to, it's his mistake after all, he threw my phone in a river, every single of my contacts got displaced, I tried to get her contact details but no one did have them" Virat spoke in his defence
"Yeah, his phone went swimming but I'm thinking what would have he done if he got to know that at that time" Ro asked thoughtfully
"Simple take the earliest flight home, confess to her, talk to Her parents if they denied, ran away with her" Virat spoke nonchalantly
"Oh, man it means we have missed a high voltage drama show" Sikh spoke sounding disappointing while the others laughed around them, they needed the laugh before the serious part that was going to come now.
" so, for the first few months before marriage...." she couldn't complete her sentence as Virat interuppted her in mid
"Can we pls skip the part where he was extremely sweet to you, took you on dates, brought you flowers & shamelessly flirted with you"
"Why jealous, Kohli" Ro asked while wiggling his eyebrows suggestively
"hell no dude, I'm way better than that creep just I don't think I'll be able to bear his cheesiness without planing to murder him 100 times in my head" virat spoke making disgusted faces
Akansha shook her head at their antics as she began retelling the story
" As virat said he spent most of his time with me, slowly creeping his way in my heart"
"I think I was happy without knowing that" Virat grumbled unhappily
" it was the day of my marriage when I got a heart shattering reality check"
Flashback
Akansha was searching for Shreya everywhere as she promised to go to the saloon with her, she asked all her sister's friends even cousins about her but no one knew where she was, tired & irritated she went to the top floors to check the mostly empty guest rooms mostly for her sanity's sake, even their she found the mostly used rooms empty, she was about to go downstairs & again try that idiots cell when some mysterious sounds from the last & most unused room drew her attention. As the y say curiosity killed the cat & as much as a curious soul she was, she went to investigate the scene, to find a gruesome scene well for her it really was a gruesome scene, finding her best friend & finance, going to be husband tonight making out, so lost in themselves that they didn't even notice her slumping down on the floor due to shock & maybe heartbreak but she wasn't sure of that. Somehow she collected herself & went in search for her mother, to share her discovery with her but her mother was too busy in the planning of a dream wedding to pay any heed to her daughter's meisry, she was forcefully sent to the parlour to get ready, to be groomed up, to look like a perfect dream girl for a guy who was few moments ago romancing her best friend. And before she knew it she was sitting beside him on the mandap, her face a perfect representation of the word melancholy. She didn't hear even a single word of what the priest was saying until they were asked to stand up, to take the seven holy rounds around the fire, they stood up alright but the rounds were never taken.
The guy she should have rejected was rejecting her. He was blaming her to be characterless if she was characterless than what was he, God of virtue?? Then from somewhere come the comment what else could be expected from a girl with unknown father, God knows whose bastard child she is?? Just as characterless as her mother who got knocked up before marriage, God knows what good deeds her daughter must be doing, people who didn't know her were blaming her but she stood their like a statue unable to answer anything unable to say that she is really the daughter of this house, her mother only loved one man in her entire life & that's her father, who doesn't have even enough courage to accept his daughter in front of the whole world. Many inprofanities were shouted at her & some even went as far as to console her father saying that's it's not his mistake, if something is rotten inside no matter how good your upbringing is, it won't change anything. She wanted shout so loudly that do you know me?? Do you have any idea of my life?? do you know even a single thing about me to make this comments. And am I really the rotten one here?? But no voice came out of her mouth, no one would have beilived her over the words of the perfect son-in-law, the epitome of virtue in their eyes, but the final nail to the coffin was hammered by her very own best friend as she displayed a month old photograph of her embracing a guy tightly in night, the face of the guy was hidden only her face was clearly visible as her head rested on his shoulder as her hands tightlt grip the fabric of his clothes, they were just hugging but it was enough proof for the people to deem her characterless & their was no Virat kohli present here to speak on her behalf, to act as her witness & tell all the people present their that the guy in the picture was him, that he was hugging his best friend a final goodbye & their was nothing else b/w them. No, there was nobody to defend her even her own family was standing there with their heads bowed down easily accepting the lie in front of them. She was a lone soldier fighting a losing battle against herself as darkness began consuming her whole, the shock of all the events around her finally shuting her body down, to prevent it from enduring more stress as she slumped down on the floor nobody came to help her up or check her injuries, everyone left the beautifully decorated hall, badmouthing about her & look g sympathetically at the destroyer as if it was his life destroyed instead of her, as if it would be he who will hear taunts all his life. That night she cried for Virat, that night she needed her best friends more than anything, that night she needed someone to trust her, that night she needed someone to reassure her that she wasn't wrong, they believe her but she found her totally alone that night consumed by darkness. Next morning she was told that her flight tickets were booked & she was shifting to Mumbai to recover. Nobody actually did gave her time to recover, no one talked her out of it, no one asked her how she was doing, was she okay. That day the girl who went to the Mumbai wasn't the girl they knew, the innocent girl was murdered by herself in the darkness now in her place was a girl who forgot how to trust or smile, who didn't want any relationships, who hated the word friends, a girl who was rude & direct totally opposite to the sweet & considerate girl everyone knew. The girl was murdered by her own friends who weren't their when she needed them the most. The girl who gave her everything to sports, the girl who became the ruthless, brilliant & arrogant captain of the Indian women's team.
End of flashback
Rihana was back in tears by the time Akansha finished narrating what happened that night while the guy's looked really angry even the calm & collected MSD was red with anger, no matter how many times he heard what happened with her, everytime he again listen to what happened to Her he couldn't help but get really angry. The girls were breathing fire, they were really angry, well now no one can question why they loathes Akansha's family. The tense silence was broken by Abeer " I'm going to bloody murder this guy, someone tell me where he is now"
So, that's all for today guys
Hope you enjoyed it.
