Derek, Sofia, and Issac had met with Scott at the animal clinic. "What's he doing here" Scott asked. "I need him" Derek said as they walked in. "I don't trust him" Scott said.

"Yeah, well he doesn't trust you either" Issac said. "You know what and Derek really doesn't care" Derek said.

"And Sofia wishes you all would shut up and stop taking in 3rd person" Sofia said. "Now where's the vet is he gonna help us or not "Derek asked. "That depends, your friend Jackson are you planning to kill him or save him" Deaton asked.

"Kill him" Derek said. "Save him" Scott said. "Derek please" Sofia said and Derek looked at her lovingly before giving in which Scott Deaton and Isaac noticed. "Save him" Scott told Deaton.

Derek, Issac, Sofia, Deaton, and Scott were now in the backroom. Isaac went to grab something when Derek stopped him.

"Watch what you touch" Derek said. "So, what are you some kind of, witch" Issac asked. "Issac" Sofia said.

"No, I'm a veterinarian" Deaton said. "Unfortunately, I don't see anything here that's going to be an effective defense against a paralytic toxin" Deaton said.

"We're open to suggestions" Derek said. "What about an effective offense" Issac asked. "No, we already tried I nearly took its head off and Argent emptied an entire clip into it the thing just gets back up" Derek said.

"Has it shown any weaknesses" Deaton asked. "One it can't swim" Sofia said.

"Does that go for Jackson as well" Deaton asked. "No, he's the captain of the swim team" Scott said.

"Essentially you're trying to catch two people" Deaton said and then grabbed some coins out of the drawer. "A puppet and a puppeteer" Deaton said showing them then put the coins on the table.

"One killed the husband but the other had to take care of the wife" Deaton said. "Do we know why" Deaton asked.

"Jackson couldn't do it his mother died pregnant too and she was possibly murdered" Sofia said.

"Sofia's right in fact I think he couldn't let the same happen to someone else" Scott said. "How do you know it's not part of the rules" Issac asked.

"The Kanima kills murders if Jackson kills the wife the baby dies too" Issac said. "Does that mean your father was a murderer" Scott asked.

"Wouldn't surprise me if he was" Issac said. "Hold on the book says they're bonded right" Deaton asked and Derek nodded.

"What if the fear of water isn't coming from Jackson but from the person controlling him what if something that affects the Kanima also affects it's master" Deaton said.

"Meaning what" Isaac asked. "Meaning we can catch them" Scott said. "Both of them" Sofia said.

After school Scott, Stiles, and Sofia went back to the clinic. "Ketamine" Scott asked.

"It's the same stuff we use in the dogs just a higher dosage" Deaton said and put it down. "If you can get close enough to Jackson, it should slow him down enough to buy you some time" Deaton said and picked up a small jar of mountain ash.

"This is some of what you'll use to create the barrier this part is for you Stiles and Sofia" Deaton said and put it down. "Only you" Deaton said. "Uh that sounds like a lot of pressure" Stiles said taking it. "Can we maybe find a slightly less pressure filled tank" Stiles asked.

"Derek, Erica, Issac, and Scott can't touch it idiot" Sofia said.

"She's right it's from the mountain ash tree which is believed by many cultures to protect against the supernatural this office is lined with ash wood making it difficult for someone like Scott to cause me any trouble" Deaton said and Stiles put it back on the table.

"Okay so then what Sof and I just spread this around the whole building and then either Jackson or whoever's controlling him can't cross it" Stiles asked.

"They'll be trapped" Deaton said. "Doesn't sound too hard" Sofia said.

"Not all there is think of it like gunpowder it's just powder until a spark ignites it you two need to be that spark" Deaton said.

"If you mean light myself on fire, I don't think I'm up for that" Stiles said. "Let me try a different analogy I used to golf I learned that the best golfers never swing before first imagining where they want the ball to go they see it in their mind and their mind takes over it can be pretty extraordinary that the force of your own will can accomplish" Deaton said.

"Force of will" Stiles said. "If this is going to work Stiles you and Sofia have to believe it" Deaton said.

Later that night Stiles, Scott, and Sofia had made it to the rave. "You okay" Scott asked Stiles.

"Yeah why" Stiles asked. "You just didn't say anything the whole way here" Scott said. "No, I'm fine let's grab the other bag" Stiles said.

"He can't we have to do this alone remember" Sofia said and grabbed it.

"Okay this plan is really starting to suck" Stiles said. "No not here, not now" Scott said hearing something and took off. "What Scott what are we supposed to do plan officially sucks" Stiles said.

"Come on let's just spread this thing" Sofia said. Stiles and Sofia had started to spread the mountain ash.

"Oh no" Stiles said seeing he was short of mountain ash now. "Call Scott" Sofia said.

Stiles had called Scott only for it to go to voicemail. "Scott pickup, pickup now look I got, like 50 feet of ash left and I'm out okay so you got get your wolf butt down here and help me and Sof because I don't know what to do and I'm just standing out here and I'm hearing gunfire and werewolves and I'm, I'm standing here like a freaking idiot with Sofia with a handful of magic fairy dust and I don't have enough okay" Stiles said and hung up. Sofia then got an idea.

"Give it to me I have an idea" Sofia said and Stiles did. Sofia had closed her eyes and started walking dropping little by little until it was gone.

She had opened her eyes and looked. "Yes" Sofia said, and Stiles gave her a quick hug.

Stiles and Sofia had met up with Erica and Isaac. They were about to attack but then saw them. "Uh no, no, no just us, it's just us don't freak" Stiles said and closed the door. "Is he okay" Stiles asked.

"Well let's find out" Issac said and extracted his claws going to attack when Jackson grabbed his arm twisting it as Issac fell to his knees and he let go. Issac had gone back to Sofia.

"Okay no one does anything like that again okay" Stiles said.  "I thought the ketamine was supposed to put him out" Sofia said. 

"Yeah, well apparently this is all we're gonna get so let's just hope whoever's controlling him just decided to show up tonight" Stiles said. "I'm here" Jackson said opening his eyes. "I'm right here with you" Jackson said again.

Stiles bent down in front of Jackson. "Jackson is that you" Stiles asked. "Us we're all here" Jackson said. "Are you the one killing people" Stiles asked. "We are the ones killing murders" Jackson said. "So, the people you've killed so far" Stiles said.

"Deserved it" Jackson said. "So, we got a little rule book that says you only go after murders" Stiles said.

"Anything can break if enough pressure's applied" Jackson said. "Alright so the people you're killing are all murders then" Stiles asked.

"All" Jackson said. "Each, every, one" Jackson said. "Well, who did they murder" Stiles asked. "Me" Jackson said. "Wait did he say" Sofia asked. "What do you mean" Stiles asked.

"They murdered me" Jackson said. Jackson had started to turn to his Kanima form. "They murdered me" Jackson said.

"Okay alright more ketamine the man needs ketamine come on" Stiles said. "We don't have any more" Issac said. "You used the whole bottle" Sofia said.

Erica started patting at Stiles and he looked at her before looking at Jackson and Jackson had screeched at them.

"Okay out everybody out go, go, go, go" Stiles said and they left the room closing the door behind them. "Okay find something to move in front of the door" Stiles said and Jackson had left through the wall.

Stiles had made it outside and went to Derek. "Hey um so we kind of lost Jackson inside but it's" Stiles said and then Erica and Issac came out not being able to cross.

"It's working I did something" Stiles said. "Where's Sofia" Derek asked worried and Issac had gone to grab her.

Stiles had noticed the look on Derek's face. "You know something" Stiles asked and Derek looked at him. "I've never seen Sofia look at anyone the way she does you" Stiles said.

"Not even Scott, she loves you and I know you feel something for her it's obvious the way you worry about her protect her look at her like she's the only one in the room she even managed to make you smile which is mind blowing by the way" Stiles said.

Derek had rolled his eyes at him. "I'm falling for her, and it scares me" Derek said.

"Why is that" Stiles asked and Derek didn't answer. "Look not that it matters what I think but I personally think that you two would be perfect together" Stiles said and then Issac came back with Sofia and Derek let out a sigh of relief.

"Where were you" Derek asked. "I made a wrong turn" Sofia said.

Derek had heard Scott howl. "Scott" Derek said. "What" Stiles said. "Break it" Derek said. "What no way" Stiles said.

"Scott's dying" Derek said. "Okay what how do you know that" Stiles asked. "Stiles I just know break it" Derek said and Stiles broke it and Derek ran to go save Scott.

After saving Scott Derek had gone to Sofia's after making sure Scott was okay. Sofia was finishing up some homework when Derek came in. "Hey" Sofia said to Derek.

"Hey, I never got to ask you if you're okay you know after tonight" Derek said. "I'm fine" Sofia said smiling putting her homework away going to stand in front of Derek.

"You sure he didn't hurt you or anything" Derek asked. "No, no we got out of there before he could" Sofia said.

"Good that's uh good" Derek said and Sofia smiled at him more.

They had stood there awkwardly for a moment until Sofia decided to break the silence. "Do you want to stay over maybe spend the night you know just in case he tries anything" Sofia asked.

"Yeah, yeah I'd love to" Derek said. "I can sleep on the floor or" Derek said.

"No, it's fine besides we shared the bed before remember when you have comforted me" Sofia said.

"Yeah, I remember" Derek said. "Good you can just lay beside me" Sofia said and got in the bed. Derek had smiled at her and laid beside her. They both had soon fell asleep beside each other.
