Erica and Issac were training with Derek while Sofia sat to the side with Boyd. Issac ran at Derek going to attack when Derek knocked him down. Issac got up going to try again and he ran to Derek going to attack when Derek knocked him down again.

Issac had kept trying, getting knocked down every time. Erica then jumped from the hood going to attack and Derek knocked her down.

"Does anyone wanna try not being completely predictable" Derek asked and then Erica jumped up on him kissing him and Sofia looked down jealous and Derek noticed as he pushed Erica down wiping his mouth.

"That's the last time you do that" Derek said. "Why because I'm a beta" Erica asked.

"No because I have someone else in mind for you and you're not my type" Derek said. "Who is Sofia" Erica asked causing Sofia to look up. Derek then went to her and broke her arm. "That's not your business" Derek said as she screamed.

"Are we done" Issac asked. "I got about a hundred bones that need a few hours to heal" Issac said.

"Well, if you would have, I don't know attacked better" Sofia started to say.

"You think you can do better" Issac asked. "Yeah, come on I'll show you" Sofia said getting up going to him while Derek watched amused. Isaac had gone to attack only for Sofia to dodge his attempt and kicked him from underneath and grabbing his arm flipping him" Sofia said.

"Interesting" Derek said, and Sofia looked, as Derek walked towards her.

They had looked at each other for a moment until Derek started to fight her and she started to fight back.

Derek had eventually pinned her arms behind her back pinning her to the wall and for a moment they just stared deeply into each other's eyes.

When it looked like they were about to kiss Derek had let her go facing the others. 

"You think I'm teaching you how to fight I'm teaching you how to survive" Derek told them. "If they wanted us dead, why aren't they coming for us now, what are they waiting for" Issac asked.

"I don't know but they're planning something and you two" Derek said motioning to Issac and Sofia.

"Especially know that's not our only problem whatever that thing is that killed Issacs's father I think it killed someone else last night until I find out what it is you all need to learn everything that I know as fast as I can teach you" Derek said.

After everyone had left leaving just Isaac and Derek. Isaac had gone to Derek as Derek noticed. "What" Derek said.

"What was that back there" Issac asked. "What was what" Derek asked. "You know the way you looked at Sofia" Issac said. "Do you like her" Isaac asked. 

"Maybe" Derek said. "Then why won't you tell her" Issac asked.

"Because right now all I care about is keeping her safe and she wouldn't dream of being with me" Derek said.

"You're an idiot you don't even realize that Sofia is head over heels in love with you I'm her best friend I can see it I see the way she looks at you and the way you look at her you two belong together rather you see it or not" Issac said and left.

Later that night Erica and Sofia brought Stiles to Derek. "Stiles" Derek said. "Derek" Stiles said. "You brought Sofia" Stiles asked.

"Well, I certainly don't trust Scott around Fia" Derek said. "Fair point" Stiles said. "What did you see at the mechanics garage" Derek asked.

"Uh several alarming EPA violations that I'm seriously considering reporting" Stiles said. Derek then clawed the air out of the basketball. "Let's try that again" Derek said.

"Alright the thing was pretty slick looking um skin was dark kind of patterned uh I think I actually saw scales" Stiles said.

"Scales like a lizard" Sofia asked. "Is that enough" Stiles asked. "Okay cause I have somebody I really need to talk to" Stiles said and Derek just looked at him.

"Alright fine eyes, eyes are um yellowish and slitted has a lot of teeth oh and it's got a tail too" Stiles said and Sofia, Erica, and Derek saw the creature. "Are we good" Stiles asked.

"What" Stiles said. "Wait have you seen it" Stiles asked. "You have this look on your faces like you know exactly what I am talking about" Stiles said and turned around seeing the creature.

"Sofia get out of here" Derek said. "Not without you" Sofia said.

Stiles had gone to Sofia and Derek after it screeched. Derek had roared at it putting Sofia behind him. The creature had knocked Erica out cold. "Run and take Sofia" Derek told Stiles but then the creature cut his neck.

"Derek your neck" Stiles said. Sofia had saw Derek about to fall and quickly caught him with Stiles.

Stiles and Sofia started trying to get away from the creature. "Where is it can you see it" Stiles asked Derek. "I can smell it please hurry call Scott" Derek said and when Stiles went to grab his phone Derek fell in the pool.

"Stiles" Derek said going under and Sofia jumped in grabbing him with Stiles joining after realizing what happened helping Sofia.

"Where did it go do you see it" Stiles asked. "No" Derek said. "What is that thing" Sofia asked. "I don't know maybe it took off" Stiles said and then they saw it. "Maybe not" Derek said.

"You get me out of here before I drown and Sofia you should have left when I told you" Derek said. "Like I could've besides who else would be able to keep you two from going at each other's throats" Sofia said.

"You're worried about drowning did you see the thing out there with multiple rows of razor-sharp teeth" Stiles asked.

"Did you notice I'm paralyzed from the neck down in eight feet of water" Derek asked. "Okay I don't see it" Stiles said looking for the creature.

"Wait, wait, wait, stop, stop" Derek said seeing the creature. Stiles then had seen the creature. "What's it waiting for" Stiles asked. "Who cares as long as it's out there and not in here" Sofia said.

The creature had touched the water and moved back. "Wait did you see that" Stiles asked. "I don't think it can swim" Stiles said. "We better hope not" Sofia said.

"Okay, okay I don't think I can do this much longer" Stiles said. "If you drop Derek, I will kill you literally kill you" Sofia said. "No, no, no don't even think about it" Derek said.

"Would you trust me this once" Stiles asked. "I only trust Fia" Derek said. "Okay me and Sof are the ones keeping you, alive okay" Stiles said.

"Have you noticed that" Stiles asked. "Yeah, and when the paralysis wears ogled who is even gonna be able to fight that thing you or me" Derek asked.

"You don't trust me I don't trust you; you need me to survive which is why you are not letting me go" Derek said and Stiles let go going to get his phone.

"Stiles I don't know how much longer I can hold him by myself" Sofia yelled doing her best to hold Derek.

Stiles had jumped back in the pool after getting his phone and Scott hung up on him swimming back to Sofia and Derek seeing Sofia losing her grip. "Tell me you got him" Derek said.

"I can't stay up much longer, and neither can Sof we need something to hold on to" Stiles said and started swimming to the lifeguard ladder trying to grab on.

They all had gone under, and Scott grabbed them tossing them and roared. The creature came and screeched knocking Scott down and Scott had roared at it.

The creature had used its tail and threw Scott causing glass to break. Scott had picked up a glass and it got closer looked at itself in the mirror and ran off.

"It's called a Kanima" Derek said after he and Erica walked over. "You knew the whole time" Stiles asked. "No, only when it was confused by its own reflection" Derek said.

"It doesn't know what it is" Scott said. "Or who" Derek said. "What else do you know" Stiles asked.

"Just stories rumors" Derek said. "But it's like us" Scott asked. "A shape shifter yes but it's, it's not right it's like a" Derek said. "An abomination" Stiles said.

"Derek, we need to work together on this maybe even tell the Argents" Scott said. "You trust them" Derek asked.

"Nobody trusts anyone that's the problem while we're here arguing about who's on what side there's something scarier stronger and faster than any of us and it's killing people, and we still don't even know anything about it" Scott said.

"I know one thing when I find it, I'm gonna kill it" Derek said. "Wait where's Fia" Derek asked and then Sofia jumped on his back with Derek catching her smiling a little bit Stiles had saw as he looked from Derek and Sofia seeing Sofia smiling at Derek with a look he's never seen before.

"Okay, let's go" Derek said leaving with Sofia on his back and Erica following them.
