Chapter 63
As I had ordered Sudhir and Sudeep, they dropped me in the neighbour locality of my house and left soon. I strolled on the vacant road and reached my home after half an hour. As expected, the door was open, and I heard Yuvaan shouting in the distance.
"I don't know anything else, Adi! Stop telling me to calm down for fuck's sake," Yuvaan yelled.
"Yuvi, I am doing my best, okay? How will I work if you keep hanging on my back like a ghost?" Advait argued.
They continued arguing, resulting in Advait throwing his phone at Yuvaan. He told my husband that even if I was in some kind of trouble, I was able to defend myself, not to forget that I had my personal gun with me - I didn't need to use it at all though.
While Shaurya tried to keep my husband calm, Advait took updates from his employees about the situation. Just like earlier, Yuvaan waited for a few minutes and asked Advait if he found any clue. When Advait gave him an annoyed look, Yuvaan huffed and said that he would himself go and check again.
"Yuvaan, you will exhaust yourself at this rate. You were searching for Reyna the whole night too," Shaurya scolded him. "Adi will find her. Don't worry."
"But how can I just sit around, knowing that my wife is in trouble?"
"He is right, Yuvaan," I said, making everyone turn their heads in my direction slowly.
I stood at a distance from the guys, allowing themselves to take their time. While Advait didn't look that much surprised, Shaurya stared at me like an owl. But most importantly, my spouse was in the worst condition. His beautiful hair was looking like haystack, his eyes were bloodshot, and face pale as ash.
"Reyna!"
I was in Yuvaan's arms within milliseconds, and he crushed me as if he had never seen me in ages. I told him that I was okay, but he rambled how he was sorry for not being able to save me and how much worried he was for my safety.
"I am alright as you can see," I said.
He broke the hug and checked me all over if I got hurt somewhere. Shaurya asked me how I vanished so suddenly. When I told him that I was kidnapped, he narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
"You were kidnapped, so how are you unharmed?" he asked.
"I don't know." I shrugged.
"You know who abducted you?" Advait inquired.
"Nope. I didn't see their faces as I was blacked out the whole time," I lied.
"At least, you are okay." Yuvaan gave a small smile. "But how did you come home by yourself?"
"That also I don't know. The whole kidnapping is a blank to me. I found myself lying on the ground an hour ago and recognized the area, so I dashed to our home instantly," I said, feeling a little bit guilty for lying to everyone.
But for my plan, this lie was needed. If Yuvaan had gotten to know my kidnappers, he would have butchered them without a second thought. And I couldn't afford it - I needed my pawns for my game.
"Did they give you drugs to keep you unconscious all the time?" Shaurya asked. "You really don't remember anything? Not even your surroundings? Did you at least see their faces when they were kidnapping you? How many were they? Any rough physical description you have? Or maybe their-"
"Relax, Mr. Razi. The poor girl has just arrived home after suffering a life-threatening abduction, and you are bugging her?" Advait complained.
He gave me a huge grin and hugged me. "Nice to see you again, Reyna. I thought you had died."
"That won't be that easy, right?" I replied.
He nodded, avoiding Yuvaan's death glare and told me to rest. He dragged Shaurya along with him after confirming that I wasn't hurt, and once they left, Yuvaan pulled me in a hug again.
"I can't believe you vanished like that and reappeared again. You sure you are okay? Are you lying to me about something, Reyna?" he asked.
I patted his back. "I am okay, Yuvaan."
He hugged me for some time and sighed in relief. We both went to our room, and Yuvaan called up my brother and friends to inform that I had safely returned. After making some calls, Yuvaan and I relaxed and woke up around 2 p.m. As I wasn't physically harmed, I decided to continue with my office work, but my husband refused and told me to stay at home only.
"But I am bored. I want to do some work, or it will get piled up unnecessarily," I argued.
"Why don't you rest when I tell you to?" he complained.
I refused, and after bantering, he allowed me to work but only after I rested for three days. I listened to him as I didn't want to add to his worries, and he would have also not rested if I hadn't. So, after three days of pampering bliss, I went to my home office and started my work. Yuvaan also joined after a few minutes, and we got lost in our worlds.
For my ultimate goal, I had got the location, and two candidates to help me out without arising any suspicion. As for my preys, Lokesh and Himesh had fallen into my trap and had invited their foreign business clients to the bhoomi pujan of our new residential project, cancelling their foreign trip. And now only one thing was left: my tools for the games.
As I sketched some stuff on the paper, Yuvaan came behind me and removed the hair from my back. I felt his lips on my skin, making my heartbeat rise with each touch. I let him be, but when he bit my earlobe, I pulled his cheek.
"Why are you disturbing me?" I asked.
"I need some attention too." He pulled me in his lap.
"I am working right now."
He ignored my protests and closed my mouth with his. I wouldn't say I didn't like the sudden attack. He kissed my neck and left a hickey. He grinned as he did the same in other places, tickling me in between whenever I tried to overpower him.
"That's enough, Yuvaan." I laughed.
"But second round is still left." He smirked.
I narrowed my eyes. "You won't let me complete my work, will you?"
He shook his head and picked me up. "I ain't leaving you today."
He took me to our room, making me blush every time he smiled mischievously. He took off his shirt and pounced on me. I giggled when he undressed me slowly, his fingers grazing my skin tenderly. He shot me a wink before he kissed the hell out of me, sending me to another world.
After having a fun time, I laid myself on top of Yuvaan; he caressed my hair as he mumbled to himself. I enjoyed his voice, listening to his heartbeat. Suddenly, he mentioned something which froze me, unshed tears springing up instantly.
"By the way, is there any good news?"
I felt his curious stare on me.
Good news? Should I tell him to stop talking about babies now? Wouldn't it crush his expectations?
"Reyna? What happened?"
"No-nothing..." I shook my head.
He turned my head towards him and wiped below my eyes. "Then why are you crying? What's wrong?"
Tell him, Reyna. What's the use of hiding? He deserves the right to know about it.
What if he abandons me?
Abandon? Why would he? He is Yuvaan, not some shit like your parents.
"Reyna, look at me. Tell me what's on your mind," he spoke softly.
I shifted and sat up. He cupped my cheeks and looked at me so lovingly that I burst out crying. He hugged me and caressed my back. As if he sensed it, he let me cry my heart out and didn't pressurize me.
"Yuvaan, I... babies, our kids... we can't..." I hiccuped. "I am sorry we can't have kids. I can't get pregnant."
I ducked my head. I didn't have the strength to look at him.
"I am sorry."
"Why are you sorry?" he asked and made me look at him. "You thought I would leave you only because you couldn't get pregnant? I know you also want kids as much as I do, but we can't do anything if it is not meant to be. We have each other, no?"
"But I wanted to play with them," I cried.
Yuvaan chuckled and wiped my cheeks, but my tears were still falling like a waterfall. I told him about the complications regarding my pregnancy, and he told me not to stress about it.
"I won't put you at risk at any cost. Don't think about it now."
I crawled into his embrace as he told me to stop apologizing. He joked that if we did have babies, he still had one bigger baby to take care of.
"I am not a baby." I pouted.
"Yeah, yeah." He poked my lower lip and laughed.
"I love you."
"I love you the most, Kitten."
"Advait will be disappointed. He wanted to name our kids after him," I said.
"That idiot should worry about himself." Yuvaan shook his head. "You know I caught him and Heena making out last week."
I widened my eyes. "What?! Tell me everything about it."
Yuvaan raised his eyebrows at my enthusiasm. "I didn't know you loved gossip."
I bribed Yuvaan into spilling the tea and told him not to tell Heena that he told me. He looked at me in amusement and asked if I felt better. I nodded, and we fell asleep while gossiping. The next morning, I was back on the field, running between my office and Raghuveer's.
We had the bhoomi pujan of our new site and got to meet the foreign guests. As usual, Himesh and Lokesh had their heads held high, showing off as they were the chief guests. Their business partners were impressed and offered to have a formal meeting with Raghuveer's firm.
Everything was going as planned, and I didn't hold back from making sure that there wasn't any issue. After the event, I went back to my office and finished off my work. I left together with Yuvaan, and he was grinning since the morning. He refused to tell me the reason behind his smile and told me to wait for it.
I got suspicious but forgot about it once I reached home. Grace Nana had already prepared dinner, and I was really thankful for that. The upcoming days were a little bit hectic as I had to go to the construction site daily to overlook the working.
I was tired, but I loved my job. Sometimes, Kunal accompanied me for assistance. I had Keerti with me too, so I didn't get bored at work. As for Yuvaan, his smile was increasing day by day.
What was going on in his head?
He was adamant on keeping his mouth shut, so I deemed it best not to get distracted by my husband. I was happy he didn't take the news negatively and encouraged me every time.
I am sorry, Yuvaan. I wish I could have told you all of my secrets, but I can't. I feel like I am committing a sin by lying to you, but I don't want to involve anyone else in it - especially you. Because I know that if I did, you wouldn't sit back and let me do it. So, please forgive me for hiding it.
Please give me some time, and I will end it soon.
