TWO WEEKS LATER

Jungkook view

The christmas holidays were fastly approaching much to The students relief. After having their midterms everyone was pretty determined to just head home for the holidays.

Currently, taehyung was just exiting his art exam which took up the whole day. The young boy sighed in exhaustion, his weak hand reaching up to ruffle his locks tiredly.

"im so happy its finally over. These holidays are going to be the best!" yeosang cheered as he linked arms with taehyung who mustered up a little smile at his bestfriends energy.

"yeah, i cant wait." taehyung mumbled soflty, remembering what his brother had told him earlier today.

Jisung suggested he, jungkook and taehyung (along with another friend he didnt know) should go to the philippines for a one week holiday, away from the cold and misery in Korea. Taehyung was delighted when he found out, wanting nothing more than to enjoy the hot weather.

"what are your plans for the holidays?" Taehyung asked.

"im visiting family in Taiwan. What about you?"

"we're going to the philippines. It'd be amazing if you came with us." Taehyung pouted.

"jungkooks going too right?" yeosang looked at Taehyung who seemed to freeze in his steps, his cheeks bright red.

"y-yeah, jungkooks joining as well." Taehyung mumbled as he looked down shyly.

Yeosang smirked, knowing the exact reason Taehyung was being so flustered. "I hope you guys have alot of fun then." he said teasingly which Taehyung failed to notice, too deep in his thoughts about a certain crush.

"come on tae, we're gonna be late. Jungkooks already outside." jisung walked in to taehyungs room expecting the boy was ready however he was surprised to see taehyung was still running around frantically last minute.

"hyungie im trying to find mickey. Hes lost." taehyung whined as he searched under the bed for his favourite stuffy.

"you mean this stupid thing?" jisung asked as he picked up the tiger plushy from behind the door, eyeing it with a grimace.

"its not stupid." taehyung muttered as he got it off jisung and cradled it in his arms as he hugged it tightly.

"whatever lets go. By the way, my other friend i told you about is in the car too. Hes called jimin, Hes really outgoing, unlike jungkook."

Taehyungs head raised on hearing jungkooks name. He put a hand over his bubbling stomach that felt all fluttery due to the fact that he was going on a holiday with jungkook. He bit his lip, flustered before he headed outside.

Taehyung saw the familiar car of jungkooks parked outside the house. The window was rolled down as jungkook now looked at him and jisung.

"hey man, you ready? This is gonna be so lit." jisung whistled whilst doing his handshake with jungkook who  hummed in reply. His eyes then went to taehyung who was standing next to jisung after putting his bags in the back.

"cute." jungkook chuckled as he looked at the stuffy in taehyungs arms. The blondes cheeks went red as he looked away quickly.

"hey jimin. You look a little moody for someone whos about to go on holiday." jisung laughed as he plopped himself in the passenger seat whilst taehyung got inside and sat next to jimin.

"jungkook here is the moody one, not me." jimin grumbled as he stuck his tongue out at jungkook who shot him a glare.

The grey haired then turned to face taehyung with a sweet smile. "hey, im park jimin. I hope we'll be great friends taehyung!"

"you know my name..?" taehyung asked quietly, his shy eyes peeking up at jimin.

"jisung talks about you so much. Always saying how cute you are, Hes not wrong. You're so adorable!" jimin exclaimed as he eyes taehyungs stuffy.

"whats its name?" he asked softly, as if he was speaking to a baby.

"m-mickey." taehyung mumbled in reply, hugging it closer.

Jimin gave him his eye smile in return causing the blonde to smile back as he couldnt help himself.

Jungkook, who was eavesdropping on their conversation as he completely ignored jisung, smiled  upon hearing the name taehyung had for his stuffy. Hes so adorable.

"its- its too hot." jisung dramatically exhaled as he bent over with his hands resting on his knees. They had just arrived at the philippines airport and already jisung was complaining.

"get over yourself." jungkook rolled his eyes jokingly before walking off to grab the suitcases.

Taehyung and jimin simply shook their heads at jisung who was pouring water over his face non stop, earning looks from other people.

"right, lets go then." jisung muttered as he screwed the bottle lid on before he began to walk away with a wet dripping face as if he suddenly wasnt hot anymore.

The four of them, after discussing what to do for the rest of the day decided that the beach would be the best idea, so thats how they found themselves where they are now.

Jisung was currently bathed in the sand whilst jimin covered him up completely so only his head was seen. Jungkook was sat on the beach chair near them with his sunglasses on, along with a loose shirt and shorts looking extremely sexy. In front of him taehyung was sitting crosslegged on the sand as he built a sand castle, oblivious to jungkooks fond stare.

"hyung 'm gonna collect some seashells." taehyung smiled as he dusted his hands and stood up.

Jisung nodded his head in approval. "just dont go too near the sea, you dont know how to swim remember."

Jungkooks ears perched up upon hearing that. They werent sat too far from the sea so he was relieved he'd be able to see taehyung clearly. Why would i even care that much.

"i know." the blonde mumbled before skipping off.

"its cute how he tells you everything." jimin spoke.

"mmh. Im his older brother, ive gotta look out for him. Sometimes i feel like i do such a shitty job at it though." jisung sighed.

I wonder if he knows about that incident that happened at the gym. Jungkook thought. He shook his head, telling himself its not his buissness.

Taehyung view

"wow, i found one." the young boy squealed as he looked at the shell that was in the sand. He smiled brightly as he picked it up, examining it close up as his doe eyes narrowed in awe.

Truth be told, in his 18 years of life taehyung had never been to a beach before and until now he didnt realise how beautiful the sea looked under the sparkling sun. He turned his head to look at the water that was only around two metres from him. His eyes widened as they caught sight of another large seashell just visible under the clear water.

Slowly, the boys feet were moving forward as his feet left footprints in the wet sand. Taehyung continued to ogle at the shining shell feeling determined to hold it in his hands. Two metres eventually became one and then zero when taehyung finally landed in the shallow water, oblivious to him as he was too focused on the shell.

He was about to pick it up until the swash of the wave brought the shell with it as it carried it down the sea. Taehyung frowned, his lips forming a pout as he stepped further into the water, following the wave that stole the shell.

"come on sea, please give me back the shell." the boy whined out loud. The water was now above his knees, just under his stomach however that didnt stop his movements of wandering further into the large belly of the sea, not giving up on finding the pretty shell that was now lost completely unbeknownst to the young blonde.

In a sudden moment a large wave crashed into taehyung making the boy lose his balance causing him to fall into the menacing water. He felt his whole body lose control as it was tossed around through the numerous waves coming at him.

Taehyung struggled to keep his head above the water as it kept getting pulled down by the force of the waves. He gasped loudly, immedietly regretting it as it just resulted in salty water entering his mouth. 

He cried as he tried to save himself, hoping the lifegaurd or someone else would notice him but to his misery nothing changed at all.

Jungkook view

Jungkook stopped keeping an eye on taehyung once he thought the boy was safe. Jisung left to get another drink at the bar and jimin was relaxing on the beach chair next to Jungkook.

The said latter opened his eyes after having a quick nap. He looked around, his brows furrowing on not seeing taehyung.

"wheres taehyung?" Jungkook asked jimin as he wondered why the boy wasnt back yet.

"hes still looking for shells. Why?" jimin stopped reading his magazine momentarily.

"hes been there for a long time." Jungkook said nonchalantly as he shrugged his shoulders, his eyes intently looking out at the sea.

He tried to search for blonde hair, but he failed miserably causing him to worry even more. The older now sat up from his chair whilst removing his sunglasses in a hurry.

"jimin." he called out as he still looked at the sea.

"whats wrong jeon? Im trying to-"

"hes not there jimin. I cant see him." Jungkook began to panic.

In an instant jimin got up. "what do you mean-"

"he's not there!" Jungkook raised his voice angrily. His jaw was clenched, brows furrowed, hands in fists.

The olders eyes widened as they spotted a mop of blonde hair in the sea, only belonging to one person. Taehyung. He saw how the boys arms were flying around as he tried to keep himself up. He saw how his body got pulled under the water completely causing him to lose control straight away.

In a flash of a moment Jungkook was running down the sand whilst ripping his shirt off, ignoring jimins yell. His legs ran faster than he could remember, only focusing on taehyung.

He swam towards taehyung as he immedietly dived underwater and secured taehyungs drowning figure in his arms so he was lifting him up. Taehyung gasped when he was lifted up above the water. He was choking whilst Jungkook  rubbed his back with one hand, the other supporting the back of his legs.

Tears were pouring down the smaller boys cheeks like a flood as he choked out multiple sobs. He didnt speak at all, feeling too overhwhelmed to do so. Jungkook held him tightly in his arms, securing him even more once he felt taehyungs little fists clutch at his shoulders almost bruisingly.

"its okay. Its okay taehyung, you're safe. Im here." Jungkook whispered to the boy who was looking into space. His face only showed pain as his cries deafened jungkook although he didnt mind as he continued to whisper comforting words to the scared younger.

He began to swim back with taehyung still in his arms. He quickly placed him on the chair whilst grabbing a towel and putting it around his trembling frame. Jungkook kneeled in front of him along with jimin who looked at taehyung with utter concern.

"taehyung Its okay now. You dont have to be afraid anymore. Look, you're back on land, see?" jimin comforted the still crying boy as he showed him his safe surroundings. He failed as taehyung continued to cry, showing no sign of stopping.

Jungkook sighed. "go call jisung." he said to jimin who nodded.

In a matter of moments jisung came running up to taehyung, feeling worried and confused on seeing him cry.

"taebear? Taebear whats wrong? Why are you crying hm?" he asked, his words coming out rushed as he held taehyungs face in his hands carefully.

Jisung turned towards jungkook, silently asking him what happened.

"he-he almost drowned, but i was quick enough to save him."

All three of them looked at taehyung in sympathy, knowing how scary it must have been for him. Jisung quickly brought his brother into a hug, taehyung weakly hugging back.

"stop crying now okay? You're a strong boy."  jisung smiled softly once taehyungs cries reduced to sniffles and hiccups.

"i think its best we leave huh? Hes still shaken up." jisung said to the other two who nodded in reply.

Jisung picked taehyung up as they both headed back to the hotel. When jimin and jungkook were getting their stuff, the shorter turned around to face jungkook.

"hey, what you just did right there, was very heroic. God knows what would have happened if you didnt spot him." jimin praised, worry still written on his face.

Jungkook looked at jimin for a moment, wondering the same thing before he briefly nodded his head and breathed out a small "yeah."

"i'll catch up in a bit." jungkook said to jimin who made his way back.

The ravenette walked over to the nearest lifegaurd, a scowl on his face.

"hey, can you come down for a moment." jungkook ordered, his tone low.

"everything o—" the gaurd began to speak but got cut off by jungkook grabbing him by the collar and slamming him into the side of stairs of the lifegaurds seat.

Jungkooks face was contorted into anger, his eyes a void of darkness as he glared at the lifegaurd. "a boy almost drowned out there today and you didnt even notice." jungkook sneered into the mans face. "if you're going to get a job as a lifegaurd at least do it properly." he finished off with a snarl before letting go of the scared other roughly.
