"Aditya asked for my permission to ask you out three months ago. " Charmi's eyes widened in shock. "But it looks like you turned him down because Aditya hasn't been himself since then I see how you avoid him like a plague when he comes to the office....... Don't deny it and don't deny you also like him because I saw how jealous you were when Mr Malhotra's daughter kept on throwing herself at him during Naina maa birthday a month ago....... "You pay your parents to see your half siblings? " a shocked Khushi asked and Charmi nodded.

"My mum died when I was eleven years old and four days after her final rites, my father moved his mistress my stepmother in with us and she was by then already pregnant with my twin half sisters...... They may be the affair children of my adulterous father but I love them like my own...... My father and stepmother hate them because my half siblings were born disabled........ The oldest Nina is partially deaf and the youngest Nisha is mute but they are extremely intelligent. " Charmi smiled and Khushi together with Aditya realised Charmi's love for her siblings. Khushi and Aditya smiled at each other confusing Charmi.

Khushi and Arnav sat down in front of Khushi who was confused seeing his Superman and favorite aunt holding hands.

His parents told him they wanted to tell him something.

"Khushav baby. " Payal called out and Khushav stared at his mother with his innocent eyes.

Khushav snapped his head back to Khushi and Arnav and down to the entwined hand and gasped.

Payash and Arshi were shocked hearing this but Arnav nodded but was soon taken aback seeing Khushav glaring and flaring his nose at him with his hands on his hips.

Payash snickered seeing the protective instinct of their son but we're still confused how he knew about Arnav and Khushi.

"Khushav baby, how did you know about your superman and Kiki aunty? " This time it was Akash who asked staring at his son who turned to him.

"I asked Adi uncle why he and Kiki aunty never got married and he said he and Kiki aunty don't love each other enough to get married and that Kiki aunty is in love with another man in her past...... I asked why she didn't marry him instead and he said he hurt her in the past during their married but now he has changed and he is a good man. "

They were all stunned hearing this.

"So how do you feel about them being together. " Payal asked and Khushav turned to Arshi who looked nervous but relaxed seeing Khushav smiling and he run and hugged them both.

"You hurt Kiki aunty again, I will never speak to you again. " khushav warned in a no nonsense tone and Arnav stood up and saluted.

They all burst out laughing as Khushav continued with his adorable antics that always brings a smile to their faces.

It's been thirteen months since Arnav and Khushav met at the waterfall and ten months since they returned from their solo trip together around the world.

This trip opened the gate to know the real them which they both hid from the world and from each other and they realised they were more compatible than they thought.

Khushi especially was amazed by the change in Arnav and was happy seeing him be vulnerable for the first time.

She wished this had been the start of them instead of the monster and victim situationship they had in the past.

Khushi gave Arnav another chance four months ago and they have been attending not only couples therapy but individual therapy to process their emotions, flaws and trauma in their respective lives from their past that shaped them.

The couple sat on a recliner on the terrace of the penthouse staring at the night sky.

Khushi felt Arnav's body tense up because she knew he didn't like speaking of them but she couldn't get any information from Payash or Manohar as they had completely cut ties with them after Manohar's divorce was finalized a year and half ago so Arnav was the only source of information because he still fiance them.

Arnav as much as he doesn't want to remember them didn't want Khushi guessing about them either.

He pushed his body up and Khushi lifted herself up and turned facing him.

"Nani and Mami works at the Arya orphanage and surprisingly are quiet happy....... Just like Mama, I cut ties with them after moving out of Shantivan, I pay for their accommodation and fund the orphanage....... Nani wants a second chance but am not ready to do that and same goes to Mami who is more persistent but I know she does it because she wants information about Khushav since Payal and Akash doesn't want anything to do with her or want her near Khushav. "

"What about Anjali? " Khushi asked seeing him quiet after his revelation.

"Anjali is in solitary confinement in mental asylum. " Khushi's eyes widened in shock and she was in for more shock that made her shiver after Arnav revealed the reason why Anjali was in an asylum. "Anjali had a mental breakdown three months after Shyam's death and Nani called me to come to Shantivan...... I didn't want to go but Aman convinced me to and I was shocked when I saw Anjali chanting your name and blaming you for everything...... I was pissed and confronted her blaming her for all the misery we faced and she did like that I stabbed me. "

Last I heard from Nani and Mami, she has completely gone crazy........ She caused this upon herself and I am done setting myself on fire to warm her." Arnav held Khushi hand and stared into her eyes. "My stupidity, ego and arrogance caused me to hurt you...... I had a choice to make the best of my life after such a tragic past but look what became of me......... I became a monster who thought being rich will give me the power to control my destiny and for years money helped me do that until you came along......... I think you were God's tool to show me the reality of my life....... Am happy it turned this way even though you were hurt in the process........Am done Khushi and I want to live a new life with you without them...... I want to be your best boyfriend, lover, husband and father to our children. "

Khushi quirked her eyebrows with a amusing smile on her face.

"Father? "

Arnav smiled and nodded as he cupped her cheek with one hand and carassed it.

"Yes Khushi, a father but only if you will be their mother....... I don't care if they are biologically related to us or adopted, I only want to be a father to our children........ Will you do me the honor of being the mother of our children and my wife. "

Khushi smiled with her eyes shimmering and nodded.

Arnav smiled and kissed Khushi on her cheek which she also reciprocated.

Arnav smiled and hugged her and Khushi reciprocated but after a few seconds, she felt a wet sensation on her shoulder and realised Arnav was crying.

She didn't stop him but hugged him more tightly as she remembered the words of their therapist from their couples therapy.

"Arnav may never forgive himself for what he did to you or the decisions he made in the past but that doesn't mean he is unstable and can't be a good husband to you in the future...... He just need time and am happy to see you two together........ Good luck on you new journey. "

Khushi smiled and moved her hands free Arnav's back and started tickling him making him burst into laughter.
