{Aaron's POV}

[EDITED - 07/24/2019]

"Hey, by the way, my name is Aaron.  Aaron Lycan."  I said with a smile, putting what happened last night aside whilst making up some breakfast for the both of us.  I don't really appreciate human food, but I suppose it's okay at the moment as I need to act completely normal in front of this clueless human girl.

"That's cool, Aaron!  I think you already know my full name, but I'll tell you it anyways.  My name is [Y/n] [L/n]."  she smiled brightly, making me look away as it had almost blinded me.

'Whatever.  I just need to make breakfast.'

I was almost done cooking the second batch of pancakes for [Y/n], when I heard something heavy fall, followed by a couple of quiet winces, and the sweet, alluring smell of blood.

'What happened?'

I stepped away from the stove for a second, seeing [Y/n] on the floor with a bunch of books on top of her body.  I was trying so, so hard to ignore the scent of blood that tingled my nose and before I knew it, my throat started to burn with the need for the liquid.  I let out a low growl and walked over to her, also trying not to laugh while I picked the heavy books up off of her body, seeing her face all scrunched up.

"H-Hey, don't laugh!"  she protested, her face red with embarrassment again.

"Aw, you look cute when your embarrassed,"  I tease, finally managing to get her free from the books that held her down.  Her face was tomato red as she looked at me.  "Well, why did these books fall on top of you?"  I asked, glancing at the stove.

"Um.. oh, right, haha,"  she laughed shyly and clapped her hands together.  "I walked over here to pick a book when a certain one caught my attention, but as I reached to for it– it was on the very top shelf –every book on that shelf fell on me.  I'm sorry, Aaron.."  she looked down to the floor, fiddling with her fingers.

'Aww, so cute— wait, what?!'

"Hey, it's okay, [Y/n].  What was the book you were trying to grab?"  I asked, looking up at the shelf she was messing with before.

[Y/n] had pointed to one of the many books I had called "A Vampire's Weakness".  I almost put the book back but, instead, I gave it up to her.  She smiled in interest at the book, but the second she took it from my hand, she winced.

"What's wrong?"  I worried, glancing at her hand that touched the book, instantly regretting it as I seen a fresh paper cut, a small amount of blood oozing from it.  My eyes flashed red for a second before turning back into their normal steel.

"Oh.. haha, I guess I cut myself on one of those books,"  she said with a chuckle, but the heart beat in my ears was already hard enough to handle, so I didn't quite hear her.  The heart beat wasn't even mine, it was [Y/n]'s.  I could feel something sharp touch my bottom lip but, of course, I ignored it and faced away from the delicious smelling girl.

'Gosh, I haven't had blood in days.  I'm starving..'

I shook my head instantly at the raging thoughts overcoming me.  I couldn't harm this girl, well, not yet at least.

"U-Uh, I'll go, um, get some bandaids.."  I mumbled to no one in particular, my feet quickly moving on their own, the heart beat in my ears increasing as I thought of the paper cut more and more.  I shook my head violently and exited the room.  No, Aaron.  You must control yourself.  You can have a snack some other time,  I told myself, trying to convince my instincts to go away.

I soon returned after calming myself down after almost wanting to pounce on the poor girl.  I calmly went down the stairs and seen [Y/n] still by the bookshelf, so I ran over and passed her a plain-looking bandaid.

"Thanks!"  she smiled, which made my heart skip a beat for a moment.

'What the heck? Oh, It's probably because I smelled her blood,'

I started to walk back over to the stove when I heard something in my head.

"I wonder, does he have a book called 'Midnight'?  I always wanted to read it,"

I stopped dead in my tracks and thought to myself,  who said that?

I looked back at [Y/n] who was still behind me, staring at the bookshelf again.  "Did you say something?"  I carefully said, watching her shake her head.

"No,"  she replied,  "but do you have a book called 'Midnight'?"

'No way. Shoot!  I thought about her too much and I accidentally read her mind!  At least it wasn't anything weird...'

"Wait...  I'm still in my Pajamas!?"

She then blushed in embarrassment and dashed upstairs to her room, mumbling a quick and quiet apology when she passed by me.

"Hah, okay,"  I chuckled softly to myself, walking back over to the stove and eventually finished making the long-awaited pancakes.

{Your POV}

A few hours passed and I was busy up in my room, pacing around.  I was trying to think of something to do to take my mind off the overwhelming boredom I was experiencing at the moment.  And after a while of almost endless pacing, an idea popped into my head.

'I wanna make a snack!'

Now knowing what to do to cure my boredom, I walked downstairs to the kitchen, only to find Aaron laying on our black leather couch, quietly snoring away.

'And here I thought he would be a big snorer.'

Taking a look his unconscious body made me stifle a giggle, wanting to give into the urge to scare him awake.

'He looks so easy to scare,'

I giggled once again and creeped up behind the couch, my footsteps unheard by the sleeping male.  I was so excited to scare him that I forgot that I had just wanted to make a snack.

I stood there and waited impatiently for a few seconds before yelling loudly into his ear.  Aaron suddenly jumped up off the couch, breathing heavily from me scaring him.

'Haha!  That's for yelling at me this morning!'

The once unconscious male looked around the room, and that's when I noticed that his eyes were red and, of course being me, I just ignored it.  Maybe it was my eyes playing stupid tricks on me as per usual.

I glanced at Aaron's feet, then to the top of his head.  He was giving off a scary aura... one I could not explain.

My body screamed danger and acted on its own accord, and I found myself behind the couch, knees tightly up to my chest, covering my eyes on instinct.  I flinched upon hearing Aaron's feet hit the floor as he inched closer to where I hid.

It's like the scary aura he had once possessed disappeared within the silent air the second he noticed me crouched behind the couch.

"Hey, why are you on the floor?"  Aaron's soft voice hit my ear, making me flutter open my eyes and look in his direction with a small frown.

"The.. floor?"  I mumbled aloud as I looked down,  "uh.. I hurt my toe..?"

Aaron's eyes softened at my voice.  "Ah, okay.  I just thought it was something else.  Are you okay now?"  he asked.

I nodded in response, my head moving up and down slowly with slight hesitation.

{Aaron's POV}

Remembering the sweet smell of her blood made me want to go crazy, let my demon out and kill her instantly in one bite.

But.. that would be bad, right?  She's my roommate, correct?  Wouldn't that just mean me getting arrested for murder in my own home?  There has been stories on local vampires arrested for killing their family members, friends, or just complete strangers.  They all were sentenced to jail for ten years.  That's a lot of time for humans, but not so much to us.

The door bell unexpectedly rang, and I glanced at the door for answers as to who it was.  It smelt like Garroth.  But I didn't want to look strange, so I pretended that I didn't know he was there at all.

"Who is it?"  I shouted to the person behind the door, earning a look of confusion from [Y/n] beside me.

"Garroth,"  a soft but low voice, answered.

"Coming!"  I hopped off the couch and opened the door.  In came a beach blond haired boy with blue eyes, wearing a blue sports jacket with yellow sleeves.  I looked to where the couch was and saw that [Y/n] was still sitting there, reading her book.

I decided to ignore her and focus on my friend for a moment.  She'll be fine.

"Garroth, hey!"  I greeted as bro-hugged him.  It's a guy thing.

"Hey, Aaron!  So how ya' been?  Have you gotten a roommate yet?"  he asked in a happy tone, wearing a charming smile.  I nervously scratched the back of my neck, subtly looking back at [Y/n] who was stuck in her book still.

"Oh, I've been okay.  And, uh.." as I moved my eyes back to Garroth, I heard movement from the couch and I panicked.

'Oh god no, don't move [Y/n]!'

I laughed nervously, trying to hide my panic. "N-no, I haven't gotten a roommate yet.  I'm hoping to get one soon though."  I lied, feeling bad straight after.

'I had to lie to him.  What would he think if I told him that a GIRL was living with me!'

"Awe, well I hope you get one soon!" he smiled before glancing at his phone, muttering something. "Sorry dude, I just came over here to say a quick hi.  I gotta go now, Bye!"  I waved bye as he ran down the street. I sighed as I shut the door, making my way back over to [Y/n].

"That was Garroth, and he does NOT need to know that you live with me, alright?" I stated, narrowing my eyes at her.

"Um, okay then?" she replied.

"Good."
