Dino was just resting in their dorm, lying flat on his back as he played his phone. Jeonghan, Joshua and Seungkwan went out for their own activities—something about hosting a show together. 

Woozi was probably working on songs again, for all he knew. Hoshi was resting near Dino while China line went out to get something to eat together, saying they craved for some Chinese cuisine. Wonwoo and Mingyu... Dino lost track of what they were doing. Vernon and Seungcheol were trying to do a rap battle together with Seokmin hosting it and keeping up with the scores. 

Dino, after checking their Twitter account, went to the home screen of his phone and saw a particular app he hasn't touched in a while. He knew Hyejin obviously still used it because writing was practically her career now. He also knew for a fact that Hyejin would be going to university real soon and they would practically be too busy to meet up each other. 

He feared that. 

If only it was like three years ago, when they were younger. Who knew time could fly by that quickly? Dino was already twenty one and Hyejin was already nineteen. They weren't young teenagers anymore. They were legal adults. 

Looking back at his phone, Dino shook his head and tapped on Hyejin's contact instead. He wanted to give her a ring. After a few rings, the line got through. Dino said, "Hello? Hyejin?"

"Lee Chan! Why are you calling?" Hyejin gleefully asked on the other line. 

Even after three months of dating, Dino's heart still fluttered. In fact, it's been fluttering ever since three years ago. Dino smiled as he replied, "I wanted to ask if you were free. Should we head to the cafe?"

"Which cafe would that be?" Hyejin excitedly asked. 

"Pit-a-pat cafe. The one and only," Dino answered. He caught a few teasing stares from his older members who were also in the room but he ignored them. It wasn't like they didn't know he was dating her. They already knew he had a big fat crush on her from three years ago. 

"Sounds like a plan. I'll be there soon. I just have to write this one chapter and I'll get ready. So, see you at around two in the afternoon?" Hyejin asked.

Dino was already excited to see her. "Yes. See you then, my lovely girlfriend!"

"Ah." Dino knew for a fact that Hyejin wasn't used to all those normal and cheesy names such as pet names and endearments. But Dino still called her all those things because he found her reaction really amusing. "I'm sorry, who are you again?"

"Your boyfriend!" Dino innocently replied. 

"Boyfriend? I have a what now?" Hyejin teased. 

Dino found her so cute. She still acted like she was younger than her age. Nothing has changed about her. "I'll see you there, then! Can't wait to give you a kiss!"

The other members who heard him cooed, "Aww!"

Dino had forgotten that they were also in the room so almost immediately, his ears started to glow bright red as he lowered his head and looked away. 

"We're going to be in public! Are you crazy?" Hyejin shouted on the other end, shocking Dino with the sudden raised tone of hers. 

"I was kidding," he said with a low chuckle. "I'll see you there, Hwan Hyejin."

"Okay," she answered, "bye."

"I'll end the call," Dino offered. He waited for a few more seconds before he finally ended the call. 

Once Dino put his phone away, he found Seungcheol grinning at him. Then, Seungcheol asked with a teasing voice, "A date with the girlfriend?"

Dino shyly answered, "Y-yes. Why?"

"I can't believe this little boy has grown up!" Wonwoo exclaimed happily, as if he was a father of a child. 

Before Dino knew it, Wonwoo had stood up and ran across the room just to give Dino a big hug. Dino was practically strangled in his arms. "Ah, hyung!"

"So cute!" Wonwoo cooed. He showed no sign of releasing Dino at any time. "Remember when I used to warn you about the consequences about dating her? Well, look at things now! People ship you, they're happy for you and we're becoming hallyu stars."

"I know, hyung. Can you just, um..." Dino found the hug too awkward. It was starting to get too long. 

Wonwoo chuckled before finally letting the youngest go. He patted Dino on the head for the last time before saying, "Don't get mobbed by reporters. Okay? The nation loves you guys and they make it sound like you two are going to get married soon."

"Yah! How can he get married before I can?" Seungcheol complained from the other side of the room. 

"You don't even have a girlfriend, Coups hyung!" Mingyu teased before he burst out into a loud laughter, followed by Seokmin. 

"The reporters aren't doing that!" Dino said in return. Slowly, he gasped before timidly asking, "Are they?"

Wonwoo patted his head once again. "They are. As long as you don't do anything stupid—"

Seungcheol had popped out of nowhere and gave Wonwoo a smack on the back. "How can you say that to the maknae?"

"Hyung, he's not some little boy anymore. He's twenty one and he can have his own life now," Wonwoo explained. The older one tried his best to hold in his chuckle because he found the eldest's reaction amusing. 

"I know that too, but you shouldn't feed him ideas such as... well, you know what you were talking about, Jeon Wonwoo." Sungcheol gave Wonwoo a meaningful stare before he turned to Dino. 

Before Seungcheol could tell him a lecture, Dino said, "Hyung, it's not like Hyejin would stay calm if I were to attack her in some way. I also know what you two are thinking and no, I won't do anything of the sort. I'll wait. Maybe if we're married. Of course, that's still far from now. Who knows if we'll even get married?"

Seungcheol's eyes seemed to be shinning in Dino's eyes and he came to a discovery that his hyung had tears in them. "I'm so proud of you, my little boy!"

Right, Dino thought, inwardly groaning, I'm also Jeonghan's baby up until I turn thirty.

Dino stood up and walked towards his closet, where he grabbed a light jacket and put it on. "Hyungs, I'm heading out then. As you've heard me, I have a date with my girlfriend. Oh, Mingyu hyung, can I borrow your car?"

Mingyu nodded and reached for his keys. "Hey, maknae! Catch!" 

Dino had quick reflexes so he immediately caught the set of keys that came flying towards him. He smiled at Mingyu and said, "Thanks, hyung!"

Dino, with the set of keys in his hands, quickly headed out of their dorm and found Mingyu's car parked somewhere in the basement parking lot. SEVENTEEN had moved dorms some when last year, when they had earned enough money. Their new dorm was bigger and better for all of them. 

Dino started the car and did all the necessary checks before he set off. His heart was beating despite the calm drive he was having. 

I guess I'm just excited to meet my girlfriend.

 After parking Mingyu's car, Dino stepped out of the car with a mask on and kept his head lowered until he entered the cafe he would be meeting his girlfriend in. He opted for the seats near the corners of the cafe to hide from the public. They wanted to have a simple date, that was all. No flashes. No stares. No nothing. 

Maybe Dino should have picked the other cafe where celebrities mostly frequented. Maybe then, he wouldn't need to hide as much. But Dino also didn't want to get interrupted by other celebrities. There were times they would walk up to him and ask how his relationship with Hyejin was going. 

He loved his idol friends, but idols wanted their own privacy just as well. 

Dino remembered when he was still waiting for Hyejin in the cafe famous among celebrities. He was just sitting there and was on his phone to kill time when Minhyuk from Monsta X approached him. 

"How's it going with your girlfriend, Dino?" he asked whilst teasing. 

That was the usual question Dino would hear from his idol friends. Everyone clearly knew their story. Even Dino has seen it on several online sites and TV celebrity news. 

SEVENTEEN's Dino and famous author Hwan Hyejin are dating! The company (Pledis Entertainment) had confirmed the rumors after the two were spotted together in several cafes. Looks like after all the rumors they have gone through before, these two are finally stepping into the world as an official couple! We wish you two happiness! 

It seems like the events in Author Hwan Hyejin's published fanficition, Highlight, has come true! An idol has came to fell in love with his fan and now they're dating! It is because of these cute couple that we believe a fanfiction could actually happen in real life. Congratulations to these two! 

It seems like famous author from 2016, Hwan Heyjin, has got caught up with her own fanfiction when the rumors of her and SEVENTEEN's Dino dating got confirmed! It seems like things that happen in the fanfiction world doesn't always stay in the fanfiction world after all. We wish these two the best and a long-lasting relationship!

Dino smiled behind his mask as he entered the cafe through the door. He noticed how crowded it was but continued to walk in until he reached the counter. He slightly pulled down his mask and ordered before the staff could even ask him what he would like today, "One ice Americano please."

The staff—a girl who looked like she aged around the age of seventeen to eighteen—was, at first, surprised by the fact that Dino was here but quickly regained composer and smiled. She nodded and said, "Nae. Right away, Sir!"

Sir, Dino thought before he pulled back up his mask. He was smiling behind his mask because he found it funny how she just referred to him as sir.

After paying for his drink, Dino discreetly moved to a quiet corner where the lights were dimmer and where people wouldn't be able to spot him at first sight. He knew that the girl at the cashier probably would gossip about him to her staff members but at the very moment, he didn't care. He knew he promised his hyungs to stay away from any new nasty reports but it felt so nice to be young and free so Dino wasn't thinking of any consequences. 

Hyejin had finally arrived at the cafe not long after and before Dino could call her, she went ahead to order something first. After she was done, Dino stood up from his seat and moved to where she was. 

Hyejin had her back faced towards him and she had no clue at all. Then, Dino softly put his hands on her shoulder, startling her almost too quickly. When she turned around and saw who it was, she eased up and smiled behind her own mask just as well. "Yah, don't do that ever again!"

"Why?" Dino asked in a whisper. He was smirking behind that mask of his. It was too bad Hyejin couldn't see it. Even if she did, she would have probably smacked his arm for it. 

"Have you ordered?" Hyejin changed the subject, pushing her hair back. Dino noticed how cute her eyes were today. Maybe it was the fact they haven't seen in each other for quite some time due to their own busy schedules. 

Dino nodded and held her hand before slowly pulling her to where he sat. There were two couches and a table in between them. Even if the couch was small, Dino squeezed a seat together with Hyejin so that he could be closer to her. 

Hyejin rolled her eyes at him and said, "Yah, you're being too extra. Go sit over there!"

Dino was indifferent about her instruction, however. Instead of moving seats, he rested his head on her shoulder and gave her arm a hug. "What if I don't want to?"

"Then I'm going to leave. I'm pretty busy myself too, you know?" she threatened. Despite knowing she mostly jokes around, Dino was afraid she would really leave. 

Dino lifted his head up again and looked at her with sad eyes of his own. "You're so mean to me at times."

"Well, you're too clingy to me at times," she said in return. After that, she let out a giggle and pointed at the other couch. 

Dino pouted and stood up to move seats. He sat down on the other couch and stared at her. "We haven't seen in each other in a while. Can't you at least give me a kiss on the check?"

"Go kiss your own cheek, Lee Chan," she said in return before she discreetly pulled down her mask to drink her hot chocolate. It was nearing spring, but Seoul still remained as a cold place with a temperature below fifteen degree Celsius. 

Dino pouted even more. "Why is my girlfriend so mean to me?"

"Because I just am," she answered with a chic smile. 

"You weren't like this when we weren't dating," Dino protested. 

"Because we weren't dating then. Duh." She smiled an even wider smile before she went back to drinking her hot chocolate. "How are you? Are you dressing warmly? If you aren't, you should! It's cold out."

Dino smiled behind his mask once again. He loved it when his girlfriend was being caring. "Yes, I'm dressing warmly. You should dress warmly too! I know you don't get cold easily but you would still get sick!"

Hyejin lightly laughed and nodded. "I will. Don't worry." Her eyes then moved down to her phone in her hands, much to Dino's disappointment. He wanted all of her attention, even if he wouldn't say so himself. Then, Hyejin let a light gasp as she said, "Wow! Wattpad has a new update."

"What update would that be?" Dino asked, pulling down his mask to drink his ice Americano. After he was done, he quickly put it back on. 

She showed Dino the screen of her phone. "You can send pictures for private messages! Ah, this is gonna be fine. I have a few friends on Wattpad and I can finally fan girl about SEVENTEEN with them—" Hyejin paused, wondering if what she had said was weird. "Um..."

Dino let out a low chuckle before standing up to caress the side of Hyejin's hair. "You're still a fan girl by heart. Do I still shake your heart? Like I used to before I liked you?"

"You do," Hyejin answered shyly. "I can't help it. You're first my boyfriend, but you're still my idol."

Dino liked the sound of that. If he were to reminisce the time from three years ago, it felt all different. While Hyejin was hooked on her phone, Dino took the opportunity to pull out his to update his Wattpad to the latest update it has. 

Wattpad can now send pictures in private messages! 

Dino stared at his account @dinorawr17 and reminisced in the time when he was merely her fan and he made a Wattpad account just to read her facts book. He grinned as he tapped on Hyejin's username to send a private message to her. 

@dinorawr17: hi there!! 

Dino quickly switched apps to stay mysterious. He didn't want to be obvious towards her so he pretended he was looking through the latest K-pop news on Soompi. 

Dino occasionally looked up from his phone to see Hyejin's expression. It hasn't changed much but Dino did get a reply afterwards so he grinned in response. 

Good thing I'm wearing a mask. She wouldn't be able to tell. 

@hwan_ji: hi there!

@dinorawr17: i'm a big fan of yours! i'm also your oppa fan! i'm really amazed by your age and your writing skills! also the fact that you debuted as a writer/author at the age of sixteen! 

This sounds like what I've said to her three years ago, Dino thought as he continued to grin. 

@hwan_ji: that's so nice of you to say :) 

@dinorawr17: actually, do you recognize my username?

@hwan_ji: yes, actually! I remember you ^^

@dinorawr17: aw, that's so nice of you to remember!

@hwan_ji: your username is cute, that's why hehe

@hwan_ji: unfortunately, I'm a taken girl ^^ it's all over the news, if you haven't heard about it :)

@dinorawr17: oh right, you're dating dino of seventeen, am I right?

@hwan_ji: yes... it's weird to actually say it to someone on Wattpad hahaha :)

Dino was still grinning like an idiot but he did his best not to act obvious. He cleared his throat and exit the app before telling Hyejin, "I forgot, I have to call Mingyu hyung. It's something about his car. I'll step outside for a while."

Hyejin looked up and nodded. "Okay. I'll be here."

"Okay. I'll be back soon," Dino said in response as he made his way outside. Once he was outside the cafe, he glanced back to see if Hyejin was looking outside. Luckily, she wasn't. She was still looking at her phone. This gave Dino an opportunity to snap a picture. 

He positioned his phone properly and snapped the perfect picture. Once he was satisfied with it, he first went back inside the cafe and took a seat. Of course, he didn't enter in a speedy way. He even spent a few more minutes outside so he wouldn't be very suspicious. 

"That was pretty quick," Hyejin said once Dino sat back down on his couch. 

"Oh, it wasn't a very big issue," Dino said calmly. His eyes went back down to his phone as he tried out the newest update of Wattpad.

@hwan_ji: is that you, lee chan?!

@dinorawr17: i told you didn't i?

@dinorawr17: i said I was your boyfriend ^^ 

Hyejin looked up from her phone to stare at her boyfriend. Then, she showed the screen of her phone. "It's you, isn't it? Your outfit is similar and the background matches the outside of the cafe."

Dino looked up and batted his eyes in the most innocent way. "How can it be me? I was talking to Mingyu hyung outside. Unless someone got my picture—"

"Seriously, Lee Chan!" She was being frustrated over nothing but Dino found her so adorable that way. "It's you, isn't it?"

"Haven't you noticed?" Dino asked innocently without giving her a clear answer. 

Hyejin slowly sat back, in great shock. "Wait, so that means... three years ago..."

"Yes, we talked before that Hello Counselor episode, Hwan Hyejin," Dino finally finished her sentence. 

Hyejin had dropped her phone. Luckily for her, under them was carpet and not tiles so her phone wouldn't get damaged at all. 

"Why are you so shocked?" Dino asked with a chuckle as he helped to pick up her phone from the floor. He dusted it a little before handing it back to her. "Did I surprise you?"

"Lee Chan!" she exclaimed, but not too loudly. She let out a huge gasp again. "I did not know you had a Wattpad account. I'm just... I don't know how to react at this very moment."

@dinorawr17: it's okay. because, all of this—our entire story—started when I started to get curious about you. because that was what you told me before, right? 

@dinorawr17: at first, you were nothing but my fan girl and I was nothing but your fan boy :)
