Author's POV

As Aria stepped inside the dimly lit house, a sense of unease washed over her. She furrowed her brows, wondering why the lights were off. She ventured further into the darkness, her heart pounding with each step.

Suddenly, her foot caught on something, causing her to stumble forward. Before she could hit the ground, strong arms wrapped around her, preventing her fall. Aria gasped in surprise, her eyes widening as she realized someone was there.

Aria's POV

I closed my eyes but didn't feel my body hit the ground. Instead, I felt someone's hand wrapped around my waist. Out of the blue, the lights turned on and I saw Jungkook was holding me looking deep into my eyes.

The lights flickered on, flooding the room with brightness. A chorus of voices erupted around us, shouting "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARIA!", I blinked in astonishment, taking in the scene before me.

Jungkook stood before me, a soft smile on his lips as he held me in a romantic embrace.

I didn't know when I got lost in his deep eyes and came back to reality when everyone shouted together around us, our friends and family cheered, holding balloons and gifts in their hands. My heart swelled with joy as she realized what was happening.

I pulled myself from his arms and fixed my dress.

Jungkook asked me, "Are you okay?". I replied, "Yes.", with a nod and overwhelmed with emotion, I threw my arms around Jungkook, pulling him into a tight hug. "Thank you, Kook," I murmured, my voice choked with emotion.

Watching me get emotional, my mom said, " We also exist here I guess ?". I withdrew my arms from Jungkook turned around Mom and chuckled.

I replied," Yes, Mom. Thank you so much."

She said while cupping my cheeks with her hands and pulling me for a hug," Love you too honey!".

Dad approached me with a proud smile and said, " Happy birthday Princess!". I replied to him with a smile, "Thank you, Dad."

Taehyung came towards me and said," Ahem! Happy Birthday to the new CEO of Kim's Corporations."

I replied to him in disbelief," CEO? Me? "

Taehyung said," Ask your dad!".

I turned towards Dad and said surprisingly with a dumb face," Dad?".

" He's right. You passed the test, you'll be the new CEO."

My eyes widened in disbelief, my heart soaring with happiness. I hugged my Dad tightly, feeling a surge of gratitude and excitement and said," OMG! Thank you so much, Dad!".

Dad replied hugging me," You Deserved it. Congratulations Princess."

Then I looked towards Jungkook's side who was standing there with a bouquet in his hands. I went towards him.

" Happy birthday to the most kind and beautiful soul in the world.", said Jungkook while giving me the bouquet. I took it from his hand and smiled at him.

" Awwww they are as beautiful as you kookie. Thank you for this and for saving me from failing earlier." I said to him that Jungkook wanted to say something but was cut off by Taehyung.

"C'mon guys you can talk later, let's cut the cake first.", said Taehyung.

We laughed and went to cut the cake, Jungkook lit the candles and Taehyung said, "Make a wish now.".

I closed my eyes and wished " Please God let me live peacefully with Jungkook, my parents and my friend Taehyung. I don't want to lose any of them." I opened my eyes and blew the candles.

Everybody clapped and sang the birthday song.

I sliced the cake and fed Jungkook his very first bite as I fed everybody one by one and we enjoyed the moment together. It felt like the meaning of my life was complete. After all, that was what I wanted,

I'm happy with my parents, my love and my crazy friend. What else do I need? Yes, I'm happy! Thank you God... thank you for everything.

A/n: The party erupted into cheers and applause as everyone congratulated Aria on her achievement. Music filled the air as they danced and laughed, the atmosphere buzzing with joy and celebration.

Time Skip...

At night.

Aria's POV

I was sitting on my bed with the flowers Jungkook gave me. Suddenly I noticed a fake flower in it. I was about to pick it up when my phone buzzed. I placed the flowers aside and answered the phone as it was Taehyung.

On call:-

"Taehyung?" I answered, my voice laced with concern.

There was a moment of silence on the other end before Taehyung's voice came through, muffled and choked with emotion. "Aria," he whispered, his words barely audible over his sobs.

My heart clenched at the sound of Taehyung's distress. "Tae, what's wrong?" I asked, my voice trembling with worry. "Why are you crying?"

Taehyung took a shuddering breath, trying to compose himself. "Please, Aria," he said, his voice breaking. "You need to come to the Doldam Trauma Center. "

"But Tae can you tell me exactly what happened? Is Jungkook okay? H..he was with you right?" I asked him,

"Just come over quickly, I will tell you everything," Taehyung said with a broken voice.

"I'm on my way," I replied, her voice steady despite the panic coursing through her veins.

Call ends...

My blood ran cold in his voice. Fear gripped my heart as I struggled to comprehend what Taehyung was saying.

Without hesitation, I hung up the call as I grabbed my jacket and ran downstairs, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios.

I hurriedly grabbed the keys and I was about to dash out the door when I heard Dad and Mom calling me.

Dad asked, " Where are you going Aria?". " Yes, at this hour?" added Mom.

" Dad Mom, Taehyung just called me. He was crying and told me to come to the Doldam Trauma Center right now. I hope Jungkook is fine, he was with him. I'm scared  Mom." I said while crying.

" Okay then, we will come with you.", said Dad and with that we left for the hospital.

A/n: Aria couldn't shake the sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. Whatever awaited her at the hospital, she knew it would change everything.
