Next morning,
Kai's house...

Midoriya's POV

The ray of sunlight reflecting from the small gap of the window hit my eyes, slowly waking me up from my peaceful slumber. My eyelids parted, only to see a handsome man snoring softly next to me, his strong arm neatly wrapped around my waists, holding me with affection.

He is still asleep... I need to get up but I don't wanna bother him...

I kept stirring slightly in the bed to get up but gosh, Kai's arm was firmly locked around my hips so I couldn't move freely. "Morning...Izu." A husky yet gentle voice greeted me in surprise, making me shuddered. I looked up to my fiance, his soft golden gaze fell on me.

"M-morning, Kai..." I stammered, face turning bright crimson suddenly. It had been a while since we talked so to be greeted like this.... Really warmed my heart.

Kai hummed, removing his arm from my body. Sighing in relief, I sat up myself in the bed, smiling at him. He was staring at my body, a smile tugged on his handsome. I started to feel a bit uncomfortable with his intense staring. "S-stop staring..." I said, covering my chest while clenching my legs together protectively.

Kai didn't answer, proceeding to get closer to me. He bent down to my exposed stomach and kissed it lovingly, his lips brushing against my sensitive skin. Ticklish sensation made my body flinched, laughters almost left my mouth.

"Morning, little one in there." Kai chuckled heartily, rubbing my belly in a slow motion. I felt at ease when he treated me kindly like this. "Hey, shouldn't you get ready now? You know...to go to your base." I said in awkwardness. I wasn't really used talking about his villainy works or about his yakuza group.

"You're right. I need to prepare myself now. Are you coming with me? If not, I will order Chrono to--"

"... Wait, you are okay with Hari guarding me?" I raised an eyebrow, confused. "Not really but he is the only one I can trust to take care of you when I'm not around." He stated frankly while averting his eyes from meeting mine.

Aww, he is shy. So cute!

Guess he is already getting over the tension between him and Hari.

"I'm gonna tag along! I wanna see Eri and everyone else!" I chirped, swaying my arms around playfully. "You are getting too attached to my subordinates." Kai rolled his eyes in annoyance which made me giggled, amused to see his reaction.
"Put that aside, sweetheart... What are you going to do with your school? Your training camp started this week, right?" Kai asked, hitting me with a rush of realization.

"Regarding that matter, my mother had settled it with my teacher. She didn't mention my pregnancy though..." I stated, staring the bed sheet long. How can Aizawa-sensei easily trust her words without asking any further? He isn't usually like that..

Kai just smiled and stroked my hair tantalizingly slowly. "That is good then. No need to go to school and stay with me...for eternity." He whispered into my ear, caressing my cheek with his warm palm. Somehow, his words pang my heart with mysterious aching sensation.

"...okay." Was my only answer for him. Kai hummed before getting off the bed. "I will make breakfast for us." I told him in low voice. Kai gave me an 'ok' sign, allowing me to take the duty.

I also got off the bed and headed to the kitchen, preparing simple yet healthy breakfast for the two of us. Kai's words kept echoing in my mind. My heart sarted hurting me all of a sudden. I held my chest in pain, crouching down, hisses and whimpers escaped my mouth.

Why is...my heart... Hurting?

What is the meaning of this...?

God, no... Please no...

"Izu, is breakfast-- Hey, what's wrong?" Kai immediately rushed to my side, wrapping his arms around my shoulders reassuringly. "I-It's nothing for you to worry about. Just my daily morning sickness, that's all." I stumbled upon my words mysteriously while trying to manage a small smile for him.

Kai, -- already wearing his black surgery mask to cover his handsome face -- gazed into my eyes deeply. It seemed like my words didn't convince him. "Should I order Chrono to take care of you at home for today?" He asked, probably noticed something was wrong with me. But I shook my head, declining his offer.

"I'm fine, Kai. I'm pregnant so that's why I have this morning sickness." I tried to convince him again. Sweats rolled down the side of my face, showing my anxiety. "That...actually make sense. I see..." Kai hummed, understanding the situation now.

"C-come on, let's eat before the meal get cold." I changed the topic quickly and we both enjoyed the meals silently....

Shie Hassakai hideout...

"Eri~" I cooed at my little girl and then attacked her with a bear hug. Eri gladly accepted my invitation, returning the hug in happiness. Kai just watched us from afar, a tint of jealousy was obviously showing in his golden yellow eyes. I couldn't help but smile at his little childish attitude.

"How are you feeling today, Eri?" I asked, holding her by the armpits before completely picking her up. Eri squealed in surprise at my sudden action since I did it without warning. "I-I'm doing fine..." She whispered, perhaps afraid of Kai's presence in her room.

At this rate, she can enjoy all activities I have planned for us.

I turned to my beloved fiance and said, "Kai, can you leave? You are stressing her." I demaned politely.

"I can't leave..." Kai shifted his gaze to Eri, his eyes narrowing in malice. "Because it is time for that  Eri." His voice darkened when he mentioned her name.

Instantly, my eyes went wide at the surprising news. He never told me anything about this at all!!

What is wrong with him???
He was in good mood till a few seconds ago!

Does he hate seeing me with Eri that much?!

"Eri, come with me, now." He emphasized the last word again which I knew it was useless to argue. it was an absolute order.

Eri, like a lifeless doll, followed his order. He walked over to Kai, willingly breaking the hug with me. I stared at her figure leaving the room with Kai in heartbreak.

Couldn't bear the pressure in Eri's room anymore, I exited the room hurriedly and walked in the hallway aimlessly. Tears wouldn't stop leaking out of my eyes.

I remember his words... And it hurts me...

He won't stop torturing Eri, even if I told him to...

He won't stop his cruel plan, even though he said I'm his one and only priority...

Because his goal is more important than his own life, than me.

Whatever I do, whatever I say.... Won't stop him! It doesn't affect him at all...

"Kai... Eri..." I muttered the two names of the people I treasured the most after my mother and father.

I love him.

I want him to stay by my side for eternal.

That's why, I worked hard to stop him.

I really hope he quits this villainy work and chooses to live with me instead.

But...

Looks like his love for me wasn't strong enough... To stop him.

Kai...

I really hope you stop doing all this cruel works... Even if it is not for me... Please...

Do it for our baby's sake...
