~ Chapter 14 ~
Shie Hassakai's base,
Izuku's temporary room,
A few hours later,
Morning...
Third Person's POV
Izuku woke up to a strange creeping noise coming from the door. Her emerald eyes slowly fluttered open, scanning her new surroundings. "Where am I...?" She murmured, sitting up herself while she adjusted her blurry eyesight.
'How did I end up here? I'm very sure I was in the hallway-- D-did someone carry me here? Could it be Kai?' Izuku started blushing at the thoughts. 'I-If I recall correctly, I did see him but it is just his silhoutte... Or it is just a dream?' She kept tilting her head in confusion.
Izuku looked around again, then the greenette spotted a small...black...bird-looking plushie at the door, staring at her intently. That thing opened the door wider and Izuku started to sweat bullets. "WAH!" She yelled loudly, clutching the sheet close to her body protectively. "KYAAA!!!!! KURONO-SAAAAAN!!!" She screamed in fear, tears streaming down her flushed freckled-face.
"Go away! Go away!" Izuku shouted defensively, her beatiful feature darkened with terror. "HARI! HELP ME!!" She cried out again, fat chibi tears escaping her big round eyes.

Meanwhile
Outside...
"HARI! HELP ME!!"
Hari, who was talking to Hikiji Tengai, choked on his drink when Izuku's scream erupted through the entire base. Tengai, who couldn't tolerate rude behavior, had his face clouded with irritation. "Izuku!" Hari got up from his seat and rushed to the green girl's temporary room in hurry. He was shocked to the most when he saw the door was wide open, and a small figure standing beside it. "Stay away, you chibi alien!!!" Izuku shrieked again, causing Mimic to lose his patience now.
"Shut up! What kind of maiden started yelling out of nowhere!" Mimic yelled back furiously. Izuku started crying harder after hearing that. Hari stood behind the small figure, irk mark popped up on the side of his head. "Mimic..." He uttered his name darkly.
Hari pushed the bird midget out of his way and walked over to Izuku's bed. The young girl was trembling violently on the edge of the bed with the sheet covering her body, feeling safe there. Hari climbed on the bed cautiously, not wanting to scare her more. "Mimic, leave. Let me handle her." The arrow-haired man commanded, earning a huff of discontent from the said short man. He stomped out of the room, leaving the two alone.
"You can remove the sheet now, Izuku. It's me, Hari." Hari softly spoke to the shaking girl. Izuku hesitantly lifted up the sheet, her gaze landed on the familiar silver-haired man. "H-Hari.." She sobbed, eyes sparkling with relief. She threw herself into his arms, holding him for dear life. Hari could feel her still hot temperature caused by her fever, signifying that she hadn't fully yet. "I-I'm scared... T...There is a strange creature j-just now..." She sobbed, burying her face in the crook of his neck. He just hummed, rubbing circles on her small back. "I know. Don't worry, it is gone now." He told in attempt to calm her down.
Hari was about to untangle himself from the greenette but Izuku responded with tightening the warm embrace, making Hari's heart beat rapidly inside. "P-Please don't leave me... I'm still t-terrified..." She sobbed sorrowfully, seriously not wanting to let the male go. Hari swallowed his saliva in nervousness. His irises read the time on the clock which caused him to begin internally panicking. "I won't leave you, I promise. But you need to let me go, please." He tried to convince.
"No! If I let you go, you will leave me!" Izuku strongly defied, only to tighten the embrace. Hari sighed and gave in to his fate. He let the girl clutching on him like a small child for a while, both staying in the warm hug.
Without the two knowledging, Tengai and Nemoto were watching them with jaw dropping to the floor. "Is Naga's daughter cheating on Overhaul-sama with Chronostasis?" Nemoto muttered to himself, narrowing his eyes to the couple.
"Chronostasis will never betray Overhaul-sama's trust. He is just performing his duty as the girl's bodyguard." Tengai calmly exclaimed, thinking positive. He was very convinced Hari wouldn't do that since the Chronostasis Quirk user was Kai's most trusted man.
"Are you certain about this? It doesn't seem like that to me." Nemoto cynically retorted, glaring dagger at Hari and Izuku. Ever since the first day he met Izuku, he hated that girl, assuming she would distract Kai and later became his weakness in battle, a future he wishes will never happen. Although he had never been in relationship in the past, he knew how strong the impact a woman could leave in a man's life.
"Whatever. We shouldn't interrupt them, ever. Let's just leave Chronostasis and Midoriya-san alone." Tengai walked away from the room, followed by an irritated Nemoto from behind him.
But what they next was quite surprising...

In the room...
Midoriya's POV
I don't want to let him go...
Kai isn't here... So I feel very safe in Hari's arms...
Huh? When did I start calling him with his first name?
Well, whatever. It doesn't matter as long as I got to hold him like this...
"Don't let me go, Hari. Please." I begged, nuzzling my head on his chest out of instinct. I could hear the sound of Hari's fast-beating heart. A soft smile tugged on my lips, enjoying the melodic sound.
This make me feel much better now..
Guess it is time to let him go--
"What is this disgusting view?" A familiar husky, deep, muffled voice spoke up. Hari and I immediately broke apart, both of us focusing our attention to the door.
"K...Kai..." I murmured in shock, not expecting him to be back so soon. "Overhaul.." Hari uttered too, looking extremely anxious and a bit scared now.
W-when did he return?! And how long have I been sleeping??
"Izuku, I never thought you would do this..." Kai said, voice darkened with discontent and malice, eyes narrowing in anger. He already took off one of his latex glove, giving me the hint to his next action. I quickly stood before Hari defensively.
"Kai, stop it! Hari just--"
Before I could finish ny sentence, I lost balance of my body. My legs were too weak to support myself due to my fever. "Izuku!" Hari caught me in the nick of time. My vision became blurry once again.
No...please... Why do I have to be weak now?
Third Person's POV
"Let her go, Chrono." Kai hissed at his right-hand man. Hari obeyed his order and lied Izuku in the bed back. He got off of the bed and walked over to Kai. As he walked past his boss, he whispered, "She had been uttering your name in her sleep.." With that, he left the room immediately in heartbreak, realizing the fact he couldn't win Izuku over.
Kai was very shocked fo hear that. He quickened his pace toward his sick fiancee. He stared at her who was breathing heavily, face turning deep red. The yakuza decided to remove both his masks (the plague mask and the surgery mask) and his green coat, putting them somewhere safe from germ.
Kai sat in the bed beside Izuku, his latex-gloved hand reaching out to her hair. He caressed her thick green locks gently. He noticed a tear leaving her eye. "K...Kai..." She murmured again. "I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me the most. Don't cry. I'm here for you now." He uttered, now hovering over her body.
His golden gaze scanned Izuku's figure. Seeing her in her alluring summer dress made his cheeks heated up but it wasn't the right time.
Kai just proceeded to peck her forehead and laid himself next to his fiancee, cupping her cheek with his left hand. "Rest well, Izu. I will be by your side all dau today." He told her, smiling gently.
Izuku mustered a gentle smile, snuggling closer to her fated soulmate. "Thank you, Kai..."
