I am waiting outside the doctor's office, pacing, waiting for my mate to come out so I can grab her. I am already on edge smelling the arousal wafting off the doctor's body when he speaks to my mate but I reign my wolf when I smell nothing from my mate's side.

It's wrong of me to expect that she doesn't get attracted to anyone when I fucked a woman only days before I first visited this hospital. I didn't know when I would meet my mate and I surely didn't think of her as my mate. I gave into my baser desires not thinking about my mate, of how she might want to be my first.

She wasn't my first when we met all those years ago but she'll be my last. My wolf growls in disgust at my shameful history of bedding random women.

The smell of chocolate wafts from the doctor's office hinting that she's walking out of the office and I quickly compose myself to talk to her. Looking around myself I find a door on the far side of the corridor but fortunately beside the doctor's office and quickly check inside.

It's empty. Perfect!

I wait for her to exit the doctor's office and quickly pull her inside the empty storage room but quickly move away when she sees me and her eyes turn fiery in anger.

"What the hell, Connor!" she whispers, her scared look makes me feel like shit so I put up my hands in surrender.

"Wow! The great Connor Lupe is anxious today?" she seethes.

"Please, we need to talk. Just listen to me," I say. I am blocking her exit. She won't escape before listening to me.

"No, there's nothing left to talk, Connor."

"Let's start anew, please," I say and she freezes. Her face portrays a deep sadness as if I stole something precious from her. She shakes her head, trembling now and I change my tactic. Maybe she'll fall for my charms like she did the first time. Let's see.

"Will you go out for dinner with me?"

"No, thank you," She says firmly and it looks like she's made up her mind, and my smile immediately disappears. What if she rejects me? Should I tell her about my wolf, that she is my mate?

Felling insecure and in need of a new tactic to win her heart, I give in only for now.

"I'll go for now but I will come back for you. I gave you time and now it's up. So be ready. You will be mine, Solnysko," I whisper, purposely using my personal nickname for her and then turn to leave before I do something irrational like grab her against the wall and fuck her, till she accepts that she's mine.

I walk out of the gym class, tired of pretending to be like a normal school kid when I spot her. My new girlfriend. I've never had one, choosing instead to have one-night stands. They are hassle free with no worries about emotions and feelings when I know that I have a mate out there somewhere but this girl, I just couldn't resist her so here I am dating this girl, my first girlfriend.

She's different from other girls. Where other girls are attracted to me, this one shies away from me, embarrassed by her desire and I want to be the one with whom she screams out in ecstasy.

All in good time, Connor.

She smiles when she sees me and I know that she's been waiting for me not any of her girl-friends. Those girls are fake. Mouths spouting one story but eyes speaking a different one.

Quickly walking over to her, I pull her by my side and kiss her on the cheeks, just beside her lips and I see the blood gushing to her cheeks, making her skin match the shade of her hair.

My fiery little temptress. She's innocent but that's what makes it hotter and fuck, I want to do all those dirty things to her, only me.

"Are you hungry, Solnysko?" I ask her and she nods happily.

I open the door of my car for her to slide in and watch her jean-clad ass, curling my fingers from touching her there. She won't like it, not yet.

"So where do you want to eat?" I ask when I pull out of the school premises.

"I want Chicken Burger today," she says and I laugh. Her tastes are unique and she eats unlike other girls who stick to salads to avoid weight gain. My girl eats and still is fit. I sure am proud to call her mine.

"McDonalds?" I ask and she nods happily before settling in for the 20 minutes-drive, flicking on the radio.

I wake up with a boner and groan at the thought of another cold shower. It's cold out here but that doesn't make my dick sit. It's at full attention ever since I first saw my mate in that sexy nurse uniform in the hospital holding the babe in her arms.

I want to put my pup in her. Yes! But for that I need to plan something.

The ringing of my phone and my mom's picture on the video call makes my dick shrivel and I sigh. Saved from the cold shower.

"Hey mom. How are you?" I say taking in the glow on her face. She's settled there and she's happy. I am happy for her but I wish she were that happy with us here. I wish our dad had treated her respectfully and been satisfied with his kids. His greed for more power destroyed our family.

"I am fine but you don't look good. What's wrong?"

I sigh at her question. She knows me like the back of her hand and I can't hide my emotions from her, even when I put on my scary-Alpha face in front of her.

"Nothing. Just a little confused," I say, debating with myself if I should tell her about Catrina.

"Something's wrong. Tell me," she orders, going into Luna mode and I am forced to tell her.

"I think I found my mate," I begin.

"Oh, wow. That's great. I've been waiting for you to find her. Who is she? Is she Natalie? I knew you would make a good couple," she says and I interrupt her.

"No mom. Natalie's not my mate and I am glad. She is after my position as Alpha and not my heart," I say jokingly.

"Oh, well then. Tell me?" she says.

"It's this girl I dated back in high school when dad disowned me," I say and her eyes widen.

"That's not possible. We can't mate humans," she says and I feel insecure. What if I mistook my bond with Cat? My wolf immediately growls at that thought. We both are sure about the bond it's still beating wildly urging me to mark her and claim her.

"But I feel the bond with her, my wolf feels the same," I say, my desperation clear on my face. Her face softens a bit and I hope that she has some answers.

"Bring her home when I visit the pack next week. I want to meet her," she says surprising me. She laughs and then ends the call on the note of seeing me soon.

I thought she would outright reject the idea of a human mate. I, myself, thought about it once but the bond is too strong and rejection won't change my feelings for her neither would the attraction dim.

Now that I have seen her, I yearn for the taste of her. I know she missed me too. She might have been unfaithful once but I'll make sure that she knows I own her now that she's my mate and I wouldn't tolerate her infidelity.

Making up my mind, I head out to the office set up in my home. I don't like working in a pack house. Reminds me of my father sitting in that chair looking down at me as if I am a piece of scum and not his son. The old beta of my pack works from there whereas I prefer to work from my home, only doing surprise patrols to keep the pack in check. They are unsure about my capability and it's my duty as well as right to show them that I am the Alpha for a reason and not just out of inheritance.

Walking into my office, I switch on all the computers and set on the mission of tracking down my mate. I am second best at tracking, after Fenris but he's a king and there are certain things where I can't beat him even if he has the added advantage of sensing emotions.

Pushing away all those thoughts aside, I set on the task at hand. It's time for a show. After all, I know how to impress a girl, my father gave me some good genes, I suppose.

The next hour goes by and I am rewarded with a complete address of my mate with some background information on her. She lost her parents five years ago in an accident and since then she moved out of her family home to go to college and get a degree in Nursing.

She moved to Blue Moon a few months ago and lives in her own apartment, alone while her sister lives in their family house with her boyfriend. Now, she is the youngest nurse in Blue Moon town hospital who's rapidly winning hearts because of her work. That's great. She always was passionate at heart about medicine but she once told me that she wanted to be a doctor and not a nurse.

Then why the change in profession?

Time to get answers from the person in question. Unfortunately, background checks give only this much information.

I walk out of the office and notice that it's early evening. I can still catch her in time and maybe persuade her to have dinner with me? Mind already made up and being a werewolf who always believes in action instead of planning, I quickly freshen up and grab a jacket, walking towards the car.

Should I go to her hospital or should I wait near her home? She might ignore me if I go to the hospital and wouldn't appreciate if I go all caveman on her in a public place. That might not impress her.

Her home, then, here I come. By the end of the night, she'll be mine, for sure. I feel smug at the thought of her writhing under me unlike her uptight behaviour at the hospital. She's professional there but she'll be passionate with me.
