Harley giggled as Jace's nose scrunched up in disgust. She had just dared him to eat strawberry ice-cream which she knew he disliked and he was having a hard time eating it.

"Jace it's fine if you don't want to eat it" she giggled.

He smiled sheepishly at her and pushed the bowl of ice-cream away.

She laughed and took the bowl, immediately shoving a spoonful into her mouth.

Jace laughed and grabbed a tissue to clean her mouth.

She smiled at him and focused on her ice-cream again.

Jace suddenly cleared his throat turning Harley's attention to him.

"Are you okay Jace?" Harley asked, noticing the nervous look on Jace's face.

"I'm uh fine" he stuttered.

Confusion took over her face. Jace never stuttered.

"Harley" he called out.

The thought of the kiss they shared just days ago crossed her mind and worry invaded her thoughts. Was he upset that they kissed? Did he not like the kiss? Was he upset that she-

Her thoughts were cut off by Jace grabbing her hand.

"Harley uh will you go on a date with me?" He asked, his eyes closed shut.

A soft giggle escaped her lips making his eyes open.

"I'm sorry you just had me worried for a second there" she laughed.

"About what?" He asked confused.

"Well about the kiss" she mumbled shyly.

He laughed.

"I liked the kiss though" he confessed.

She looked at him wide eyed.

A blush danced on her face.

He looked into her eyes making her do same and before they could both ponder what was going on their lips met each other's.

Harley sighed as she placed her head on Jace's shoulder. They were sitting in his car.

"So what's your answer?" He asked curiously.

"What?" She asked confused.

"Will you go on a date with me Harley" he laughed.

"Yes Jace" she laughed.

He smiled and kissed her forehead.

"How about Saturday?" He smiled.

She nodded and opened the car door.

"Let me-" he was cut off by her barely getting out of the car.

"Ha! Eleven years and I finally got out of a car" she smirked victoriously.

He laughed and she passed him a small smile.

"Bye Jace" she smiled.

"By Harls" he smiled.

She managed to walk into her house, a huge smile on her face.

"Hey guys" Harley smirked, her eyes on Lilac and Hayes.

They nervously smiled back and she swore she saw Hayes threaten her.

"What did you guys do today" she smirked.

Lilac shrugged and sat beside her, bringing the small pillow beside to her chest.

"Oh nothing how was your day with Jace" she smiled trying to change the topic.

"Fun he asked me on a date" she said casually.

Lilac squealed.

"Finally"

"What?" Hayes yelled.

"He asked me on a date" she pouted "please let me go"

"I don't know. How am I supposed to trust him" he asked, a worried look on his face.

"Please" she begged.

"Fine when is it?" He asked, a mischievous look on his face.

"Saturday" she informed him.

"Okay let's see what dad has to say about it" he grinned.

She gasped and Lilac laughed.

"Oh please please I promise I won't bother you anymore and I won't wear your shirts nor steal your toast" she begged.

"Uhh not good enough" he smirked.

"Oh please I thought I was your sister" she pouted.

He sighed and pinched her cheeks.

"Fine but I want you home before 7:00 pm" he warned "else no more Jace"

"But-" she was cut of by the stern look on Hayes' face.

"Fine" she grumbled.

"I'm hungry" she whined.

"I'm needed then" Hayes smiled "will you help me Lilac"

"O-" Harley cut her off.

"No she can't she is keeping me company" she smirked.

He glared at her and walked into the kitchen making Harley giggle and Lilac passed her a confused look.

THE NEXT DAY

Harley giggled as she listened to Jace talk.

Honestly they were getting closer day by day and she was loving it.

Though Hayes complained that she wasn't giving him any attention anymore he had Lilac to stare at and follow like a lost puppy.

She glanced at the crowd of people and her eyes caught one specific blue eyed raven haired girl who had a sad look in her face as she followed Lance who was fumming with rage.

Vanessa glanced at them mostly Jace and when their eyes met she looked away immediately and Harley swore she saw a look of regret cloud her eyes.

"Harley" Jace snapped.

She looked at him apologetically.

"Stop thinking about Vanessa you did nothing wrong" he assured her.

She didn't bother to ask him how he knew she was thinking about Vanessa and sighed.

"Maybe I was mean did you see how she looked" she sighed slamming her locker shut.

"That's what Vanessa does" Jace explained "she does the wrong thing and makes you feel bad for it"

"This time was different" she sighed "I could feel it"

"Harley people don't change" he explained "and neither does Vanessa"

She nodded sadly, not wanting to push the topic and make Jace mad.

"C'mon m'lady let me get you class" he smiled.

She stared at him swooning over his charming smile.

She smiled back and placed her hand in his. He kisses her knuckles gently making her blush.

He laughed and pulled her to his side.

"You smell nice as usual" he complimented her taking a hug whiff of her hair.

She giggled and nodded.

S A T U R D A Y

"Oh my- what are you going to wear" Lilac mumbled to Harley "and why the heck didn't you pick an outfit  yesterday"

Before Harley could reply she threw a dress at her.

"Calm down Lila we are having a casual date at the mall" she explained.

"A date is a date and you need to look your best" she sighed.

"I haven't outfit planned okay so you get out and let me freshen up" she explained to her gently as she pushed her out of her room.

She sighed as she stuffed her clothes back in her wardrobe.

She was currently in her wheelchair. Though she hated using it, it was easier to do stuff.

She had taken her bath and brushed her teeth. She applied pomade on her skin and picked out the big black wooly sweater she liked and matching grey jeans. She sprayed herself with her favourite perfume and brush her hair. She wore her white sneakers and used her crutches to go to the kitchen.

"Morning" she greeted Hayes who she hadn't yet seen.

"Oh my gosh you look beautiful" Lilac giggled, not giving Hayes a chance to greet her back.

"Thank you" she smiled as she swept her hair to the side.

She grabbed a white bag and put her phone, wallet and credit card in it.

Her phone beeped and she smiled as she saw Jace's name.

Bae:
I'm here you ready?

She giggled lightly. Jace was the one who changed his name from Jace to bae after lecturing how plain it was that it was only Jace.

Me:
I'm ready see you out

Bae:
Ditto. Can't wait to see you. I missed you a lot

Me:
You saw me yesterday at school 🙄

Bae
...

She giggled and put her phone in her bag.

"Bye guys" she waved, walking out the door.

"Lilac do you wanna go on a date with me?" She heard Hayes' deep voice ask nervously.

She smiled as she walked out, not wanting to act nosy.

She walked to Jace's car and got in, feeling accomplished that she was able to sit in cars without the help of anyone.

"Mhm you look beautiful as always" Jace smiled.

She blushed and hid her face.

"Harls you are honestly too adorable" Jace smiled kissing her forehead.

She giggled and brushed her lips against his cheek.

"So are we going to once we get to the mall?" She grinned.

"Mhm how about the arcade?" He questioned "then the food court the the cinema"

She nodded and he started the drive to the mall.

Soon they had parked in front of the huge mall.

Harley let Jace open the car door for her and he gestured for her to take his hand which she did.

"So the arcade then" she smiled wrapping his arms around her waist as they entered the mall.

She nodded and stared at the mall in awe.

It was really beautiful and buzzing with activities.

She smiled as she saw the sales attendants call people into their stores or as kids ran ahead of their parents who seemed to not have a care in the world.

"This way m'lady" he said helping her into the arcade.

She smiled at the neon lights and the tons of games around.

There was pac man, an indoor tennis game,an indoor golf course, a basketball hoop and soo many others.

"So there they play minecraft, fortnite and fifa and tons of video games and here are the arcade games" Jace said gesturing to the left side as he said video games and gestured to the right side as he said old school arcade games.

"Hey man" a guy said giving Jace a bro hug.

He wolf whistled as he looked at Harley.

"Hey Flynn eyes to yourself" Jace warned.

"I was just checking out the many wonders of this earth dude" Flynn smirked, knowing about Jace's possessive side "no need to go all possessive on me"

"Harley this is Flynn sadly my best friend who I am suddenly glad doesn't come to our school" he introduced "and Flynn this is Harley and yes she is mine"

"Nice to meet you Harley" he said kissing her knuckles "a pretty name for a pretty girl like you"

Jace gagged "dude that's soo cheesy"

She laughed at Flynn who glared at Jace.

"Anyways I'll hopefully see you two in the movie?" Flynn smirked.

"But it's-" he cut off Jace by kissing Harley's palm and walking away.

She grinned at Jace who led her to the pac man game.

"Why don't we start with something easy shall we?" He smiled.

She nodded and he stood behind her, his arms wrapped around her waist so that she wouldn't fall. Heat creeped up to her cheeks and she noticed how close they were.

"Eyes on the game baby" his deep english voice chuckled a definite smirk on his face.

Jace groaned as Harley's laughter filled his ears.

"I can't believe that lady offered to get you a face mask and free makeup" she giggled.

"It wasn't that funny" he whined.

"Yes it was" she laughed.

"What do you want to eat?" He asked as they entered the food court.

"Uh I skipped breakfast so how about some fries and a hotdog" she smiled.

He nodded and got her a seat.

"Hi what can I get you?" A waitress asked, a forced smile on her face.

"A hotdog, two fries and two soda's" he said giving her a charming smile making her blush.

"O-Okay" she stuttered dashing away.

Harley sighed and placed her head on the table.

She watched as girls giggled and stared at Jace.

"Oh my gosh he is soo cute"

"Ahh his English accent is so cute"

"I would kill to sit next to him"

"Hey you okay?" Jace asked concerned, noticing the frown on her face.

"I'm just hungry" she lied, giving him a fake smile.

"You know I only have eyes for you right" he blurted out, not liking that she listened to what other girls said

"I know" she smiled.

He brushed his lips against hers, making her blush.

"You're soo adorable" he laughed.

She rolled her eyes at him, a faint smile in her lips.

A waitress brought their soda's and Harley immediately took a sip of hers.

"Your food" another waitress said holding a tray of fries and a hotdog "we hope you enjoy it"

They thanked her and she immediately scurried away.

Harley moaned as she ate her fries. Soon she was done with it and she scoffed down her hotdog.

"That was good" she smiled.

"Yup" Jace smiled gulping down his soda "let's get our popcorns else we will be late for the movie"

They nodded and as they left they heard girls fuss over another guy but she was too focused on Jace to care.

Soon they had their popcorn and they were in their movie theatre.

"Where's Flynn?" She giggled remembering that he said he was going to watch the movie with them.

Jace shrugged, wrapping his arms around her shoulder.

"It's better if he isn't here" he grinned.

She laughed and placed her head on his shoulder as the movie started. She felt his lips in her forehead.

They were watching a horror movie called Horror of Halloween Night and she felt eyes on her. She looked around but since it was dark she couldn't see anyone's face.

"Hey what's wrong?" Jace whispered confused, his eyes now on her.

"I dunno it's nothing" she dismissed, looking at him as well.

"Hey you can tell me" he urged.

"I just feel like someone is watching us" she whispered.

"It's probably nothing" he whispered leaning in, their lips inches away.

"Hey guys" a familiar voice whispered, separating them as Harley blushed.

"Hayes?" Jace asked confused scratching the back of his neck.

He was just caught almost kissing his sister.

"Hey guys I didn't know you were coming to this movie" he said innocently.

Harley heard a sigh next to Hayes.

"Lilac?" She asked confused.

"I'm leaving" Lilac declared running out of the movie theatre.

Harley glared at Hayes.

"Yeah I'm going to Lilac I have already watched this movie they all die in the end" she sighed.

Jace followed after her and Hayes sighed.

He sighed and got up.

He didn't know what he did but he knew he messed up.

"Should I send you girls home?" Jace asked as he looked at Harley and Lilac who were in his car.

"Uh my house" Harley whispered as Lilac looked out the window.

Soon they were at her house and Lilac ran in, probably in tears.

"C'mon" he sighed as he helped Harley out of his car.

As soon as they entered the house they heard Hayes enter.

She entered her room and found Lilac curled in a ball on her bed.

Harley passed Jace a sympathetic look and he nodded.

He went back downstairs and found a worried Hayes.

"What the hell man? I thought you liked her?" He questioned.

"Is that obvious?" He laughed dryly.

"Than a house on fire" he sighed "you have to tell"

"I-I can't" he sighed "look at Harley she can't freaking walk. I ruined her for years, made her fall in depression w-what if I do same with Lilac"

"Look I don't know what happened but I can assure you that you didn't do anything and something happened to Harley that made her fall into depression" he explained "you're an amazing brother and I assumed you only stalked us to make sure your sis was safe but I promise you can trust me"

Hayes nodded an watched as Jace grab two beers and gave one to him.

"I trust you I'm just scared" he confessed.

Jace nodded, taking a swig of his beer.

"But that doesn't mean you're off the hook for kissing my sis not once but several times" Hayes glared.

Harley sighed as she watched her best friend.

"Lila what's wrong. I know my brother is a jerk but what did her do this time?" She asked trying to lighten the mood.

Lilac cleaned her tears and looked at her best friend.

"I'm pretty weak aren't I?" She laughed dryly.

Harley shook her head.

"Hey since when was it a law that when you cry you are weak" she smiled.

"I-I Hayes he used me" she explained "I thought we were going in this amazing date b-but turns out he was just using that as an excuse to stalk you and Jace"

Harley gasped.

"That jerk. He stalked us? And used you to do that" she yelled.

"B-but he was cute and overprotective and to be honest I had an amazing time. We played arcade games, I made him get a face mask, we went into a booth, watched a movie and almost kissed" she explained.

"You almost kissed?" Harley gasped "gosh you two are soo cute"

"Too bad he doesn't like me back" she sighed.

Harley sighed. How she wanted to blabber all the feelings her brother expressed for Lilac that he accidentally told her but she was going to have to let her best friend see it for herself.

"So why do think she is upset" Hayes asked throwing his bottle away.

"Probably because her first date was a fake" Jace shrugged, throwing his bottle away making Hayes eyes widen.

"Shit that was her first date" he paced as realisation dawned unto him.

"Why did you invite her in the first place?" Jace asked knowing he could have gone alone.

"Okay so she caught me staring at her and then I asked her the first thing that popped into my head and I promise you that I didn't know you guys would be at the arcade and food court" he promised "I did know about the movie theatre and I wanted to make sure that Harley was okay"

"Well you're gonna have to make it up to her" he sighed "and she is definitely not gonna go on another date with you for a while brother"

"What do I have to do" he asked hopefully "I will do anything to make her happy again.

Jace grinned. Right in front of him was a man in love just much like himself.
