Her smile fell as she looked around once again.

Why was someone apologizing to her?  No one ever did.

They just made fun of her and that was that.

She bit her lip as she re-read the words "I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'm sorry"

It could be anyone and she didn't notice the handwriting.

She was so deep in thought when someone wrapped an arm around we she flinched and dropped the paper.

"You okay?" Jace's husky voice asked making an automatic smile capture her lips.

"Yes why wouldn't I be?" She lied through her teeth.

She wasn't fine. Sure it was just an apology but who would apologise to her and why would they.

"If you say so cielo but remember I'm always going to be here for you" he promised as he brushed his lips against hers.

"Cielo? Sky? Why sky?" She asked confused, as he wrapped his arms around her waist, leading her out if the noisy school hallway.

It was closing time and Lilac and Hayes had made plans to go to Baby blue ice cream parlor.

"Because you're my sky" he chuckled, making her brows furrow in confusion.

What did he mean by that?

He led her to her car and helped her into he front passenger seat.

"Lilac and Hayes are probably already at Baby blue do you want to go to your house or?" He trailed off, starting the car.

"I want ice cream" she squealed making him chuckle and nod.

Soon they were in the parking lot of baby blue. It was a decent ice cream parlor owned by an old couple that Harley, Jace, Lilac and Hayes had befriended.

He helped her out of his car and into baby blue parlor.

Just like it's name the walls were painted baby blue, the stools were wooden brown and the booths were white.

She sat on the stool and smiled at Mariana, the co-owner of Baby blue ice cream parlor.

"Hey Ana" she grinned, tucking her brown locks behind her ear.

"Hello dear where is Jace?" She asked eagerly.

"I'm here Ana" Jace announced making her grin.

"I missed you two soo much" she grinned, pulling on Harley's chubby cheeks, as she swated her hand away.

Mariana chuckled as she wiped the counters.

"Where is Mario?" Harley asked giggling.

Mario was like her second father. She spent soo much time here and they had bonded. Mariana and Mario had a son who had a family. He didn't live in the country but visited often, making sure to bring their grandkids who were their age mates.

"I'm here minha princesa" Mario's rough voice said, coming out of the staff only door, that they often used.

Perks of being friends with the owners.

He kissed her forehead, whispering how much he loved and missed her.

"What about me?" Jace pouted, making Mario roll his eyes.

"Hope you are treating her good?" He asked, staring Jace in his eyes, making both Mariana and Harley roll their eyes.

He always asked this and everytime Jace would confirm that he was treating her the best he could.

"I can only say I am trying to treat her like the princess she is" Jace confessed, making Harley blush and hide in his chest.

"You better" he said "anyways Lilac and Hayes just got here they are over there"

Mario pointed to a booth close to the back and at the window where a distracted Lilac and Hayes were talking, with Hayes occasionally brushing his lips against hers, while she would blush furiously making her even cuter.

"Thanks Mario" Jace smiled "wanna sit?"

"No, no I wanna help Mario with the ice cream" she squealed, tugging on Jace's hand to help her off the stool which he did.

"Okay" Jace smiled, his hand securely on her waist.

"The usual?" Mario asked as he opened the door for sua princesa.

"Not today I want bubblegum strawberry and oreo's" she squealed making both Jace and Mario stare at her with wide eyes.

"You know Ana had weird ice cream cravings when she was pregnant with Mason" Mario grunted, glaring at Jace.

Harley's stared at Mario with wide eyes.

How on earth could he think she was p- with child.

She blushed and rolled her eyes, glaring at Mario who gave her a sheepish smile, his eyes flickering from Jace who's face was flustered and to Harley who had a glare on her face.

Harley sighed as she woke up, pressing the snooze button on her phone and rolled out of bed and unto the floor, grabbing her crutches she made way to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and took a bath. She sat on her bed, eyes flickering from jeans to skirts, to leggings to dresses.

She picked a white turtle neck shirt with long sleeves and paired it with olive green leggings that hugged her curves, a little to much.

She shrugged it off, too lazy to change, she hummed Activate, a song by Stonebwoy featuring Davido.

She tied her hair in a high ponytail, chuckling lightly as it reminded her of Ariana Grande.

She wore white sneakers and went downstairs to be met with a shirtless Hayes with jeans on.

"Morning" she mumbled, sitting on the island.

"Morning" he grinned, kissing her cheek.

"Why are you in such a good mood" Harley laughed, as he placed a plate of pancakes adorned with raspberries, bananas and blueberries and other berries.

He spilled syrup on it and rolled his eyes.

"Why can't I be happy" he asked, sitting next to her with a fork in his right hand and a glass of orange in the other.

He placed the orange juice next to her and placed the fork on the stack of pancakes which she happily dug in.

He sat next to her, eating his as well.

"You can, but why today?" She asked, only producing a muffled sound as her mouth was full of pancakes.

She moaned before swallowing.

"I said you can, but why today" she repeated making the confused look on his face disappear.

"No reason" he said playing with his pancakes, a dreamy look on his face indicating he was thinking about Lilac.

"Can I have your pancakes then?" She asked innocently, pushing her now completely empty plate away.

"Back of sister" he said shaking his head as she pouted, sticking her head up high she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Jace" Harley squealed, as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

She was soo excited to see him even though she spent the whole day with him yesterday she still missed him.

He placed a kiss on her lips.

"Hey Cielo" he grinned making her blush.

She liked the nickname already.

"I have chemistry what about you?" She asked curiously.

"Looks like we have chemistry together cielo" he smirked making her blush.

"That pick-up line was soo cheesy Jace" she laughed as he laughed.

"It was cute cielo, it was cute"

At least he didn't say sexy

"Keep telling yourself that until you believe it" she giggled, kissing his cheek.

He laughed harder and walked her to class.

She suddenly felt nauseous and she looked around. Something wasn't right. She felt as if she was being..... watched.

She looked around but she didn't see anyone in particular staring at her intently.

She smiled at Jace who noticed something was off with her.

"You okay?" He asked worriedly, making her shake her head meaning no.

"I- I have this feeling someone is looking more like staring at me" she confessed making him look around.

"We have to get to class, if you feel very uncomfortable tell me alright" he said making her nod.

She almost thought he would say it was probably nothing.

She hide her face in his chest as he played with her hair.

"I will always protect you" he whispered softly, nuzzling his nose in the crook of her neck in worry yet happiness.

No one could have her, she was his.

His whisper didn't go unheard by Harley.

She felt a swarm of butterflies flutter in her stomach.

One of the many reasons she loved Jace.

One of the many reasons he was perfect.

But he deserved better.

Someone better.

Someone that wasn't her.

Because she was used.

She was broken.

She was a waste.

Too broken upon repair.
