A King's Meal
For the rest of the night, we had fun. Lucifer and I danced to seventeen songs. Even though, I know most, if not all, of the Nine wanted to dance with me.
Lucifer must have known that being around them made me nervous, so he made sure he was next to my side the rest of the night.
After seeing what they did to Nigel, I was terrified for my life, even though I knew that Lucifer would never let them rip me apart.
After Lucifer and I were done dancing, we both sat in our chairs. Even though Lucifer doesn't call them thrones, they are. They are both stationed on a higher floor than the rest of the room. His chair was made from a very interesting material. The seat, the arm rest, and the back rest was comprised of human, and I'm pretty sure, demon bones. Strips of gold spiraled around the arms rests, the back rest and even the seats of the chair. This gave the chair a look of importance. Even though, I know I should have been disgusted, I wasn't. The chair, in its own unique way, was very beautiful.
My chair was like his, but only smaller. Instead of having gold wrapped around the arm, the back and the seat of the chair, silver stood in its place. I guess we all can figure out which chair belonged to who.
"Sorry about the color," Lucifer said. "Before you came along, that seat belonged to Zaphara. I know it sounds like you are getting her hand-me-downs, but she actually wanted you to have it. If you want to, we can change the color to gold."
I smiled, he was too sweet. "I like it just the way it is."
"Good," he said, smiling.
We sat in our chairs and watched everyone dance around. It seemed like most of the people here, were drunk.
After what seemed like hours, the party calmed down. All of the people, minus the helpers and the Nine were on the ground, asleep. "What time is it?" I asked Lucifer.
"It is exactly four o'clock," he responded.
Mikel Razoul, approached us after the last person fell to the ground. "Lucifer, it has been hours since we have eaten. We were wondering what you had in store for us?"
"Well, I'm guessing you all don't want the food that my staff has prepared for you, do you?" Lucifer asked, even though he and I both knew the answer.
"Come on, Luci, you know us better than that."
Lucifer smiled. "I do. Why do you think I invited so many humans to the ball? It certainly wasn't to eat up all the food. There is enough people here for you all to have a king's meal."
Mikel's eyes changed from blue to black as he smiled. "Thanks buddy," he said, as he left us alone.
Mikel walked back to the group and told him of what Lucifer said. I could see them all picking out which group of people they were going to indulge on. I shivered at the thought of being their next meal.
"Now, for my beautiful wife to be, we will be dining in the Great Hall." Lucifer stood up and offered me a hand. Smiling, I took it.
Mikel followed behind us, as we walked towards the doors. Once we were out of the room, he smirked at me, and locked the doors behind him.
Once again, I shivered. As we went to the Great Hall, we could hear the screams of the Nine's terrified victims.
Lucifer smiled as entered the Hall. The table was filled with food. From roasted chicken, to pizza, to all kinds of soups and vegetables and even fruits.
He pulled out my chair and I sat down. Once I was seated, he pushed my chair in. He then sat down and laughed.
"What's so funny?" I asked, smiling. I wanted to be part of his joke.
"Never trust a demon," Lucifer said, still laughing. My smiled instantly disappeared. "I knew that you would not eat what was set out at the table in the ballroom, so I told the staff to make American food. I hope you like pizza, chicken and everything else on this table."
"I do," I said, slightly smiling.
"Then dig in! I especially love pizza!" he said, as he grabbed five slices.
"Um, you sure it is safe? I mean you did just say to 'never trust a demon'?"
"Raven, you should know by now I would never intentionally hurt you. I love you more than I have ever loved anything. Do you think I would poison your food?"
"No," I whispered, as I grabbed a slice of pizza and a spoonful of vegetables. "I'm just worried that one of these days I'm going to wake up and find it all to be a dream."
"Raven, this is not a dream. This is real life, trust me. This is my life and your life. This life right here, is our life. In less than fifteen hours, you and I will be married, and I will never want for another thing again."
I smiled, tears in my eyes, and grabbed Lucifer hand. I gave his hand a tight squeeze. "Thank you so much." I said.
"You're welcome, my Angel. Now, I don't know about you, but I am absolutely famished."

Lucifer and I ate as much as we could. I was so full that if I ate anything else, I would through up.
"Why did we do that?" he asked me, as we walked into our bedroom. He shut the door and instantly started taking off his suit.
"I don't know," I replied. "But with a little bit of sleep, we should be fine before our wedding." I walked into the closet and changed out of my clothes. I then walked to the bathroom and removed all the makeup from my face.
Wedding. I am getting married in less than fourteen hours. I walked out of the closet smiling. I found Lucifer laying on the bed, above the covers.
Ever since my first day in Hell, he has slept on top of the covers. He didn't want me to worry about him taking my innocence, even though, he knew I knew he wouldn't.
"Why are you smiling, my Angel?" he asked, motioning for me to get in to bed.
"Wedding. I am getting married in less than fourteen hours. Can you believe it?"
"I am the one who can't believe it. I have been waiting for this day for you don't even know how long. And on top of that, I hit the jackpot with you. You are everything I wanted and more."
I could feel my cheeks heat up. Was I blushing? I don't blush...do I?
"Tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life," I said, as I hugged Lucifer goodnight.
"Correction," he said. "Our life."

You what to know something crazy? It took me exactly one hour to write this short chapter of 1160 words. One hour. What?
I cannot tell you all how excited I am that this book is almost over. Only one more chapter and it is the...........wedding scene. Can you believe it? The wedding scene? How in the world am I going to write a scene that I have no knowledge on?
Time to hit the internet and do some research.
Goodness. More work for me to do.
Well, like last time, no questions for you all to answer.
Don't forget to vote, comment, and share this wonderfully horrible written book.
Until next time, this is Mama Rivers saying, "Live dangerously, my beautiful Hellions."
