Few days later they were all set to travel. Alpha Edmund would be accompanied by Matthew, and two of his trusted warriors Boston and Jay.

The two warriors shifted into their wolf forms and took their positions: Boston a few yards ahead of them and Jay behind. Edmund carried Karu on his back, securing his arms under her thighs, while Matthew carried the supplies.

They set camp when the Sun was about to set. Edmund laid Karu on a mattress to prepare her for the suction. When he lifted her top, his fingers accidentally brushed over her soft nipples that instantly hardened. He internally groaned as the pits of his groin clenched once again. He decided it was best to let Matthew handle it.

But as he turned away he noticed the other males taking subtle glances at her exposed body. An involuntary growl left his throat making the duo snap their heads away.

He suddenly realized what he had done. He had claimed her. Marked her as his territory, even though not literally. He was confused. Karu wasn't his mate. If she was, then he would have felt it. He had heard how mates spoke of the feeling of a bond.

As night came the atmosphere turned chilly. Edmund was restless. His mind was occupied by matters he never thought of before. Like mates. He felt stupid. This girl was messing with his head. He hoped the witches would have a cure and he would be able to get rid of her soon.

He glanced over at her still form, wondering if she was cold, and then immediately chastised himself for worrying.

Having had enough, he decided to go for a run.
