The Goda pack arrived. The party consisted of Alpha Sanders, their pack's physician and a man carrying a girl who seemed to be asleep.

Edmund greeted Alpha Sanders and lead them into the spacious hall.

"Show them to the room." Edmund instructed his maid, indicating the man who was carrying the girl.

The maid nodded in compliance and asked them to follow.

As they passed by, he was hit by the sweet aroma of peaches. Edmund found it very appealing and unknowingly took a deep breath, inhaling the scent. It almost triggered something in him, but it vanished in an instant.

Shaking himself off those thoughts, he turned his attention back to Alpha Sanders and the other man at his side.

"Let's go to my office."

They sat in silence, contemplating what they had just learned.  A few minutes ago, the Goda pack's physician, had explained the girls situation to them.

From what Edmund understood, the girl is in some sort of a coma. And she has a poison embedded in her heart that kept spreading through her body. The only way they could keep it at bay was by sucking out the poison at least two times a day. The odd thing was that the poison never seemed to be killing her heart. Even so, no matter how much they sucked it out, the poison kept returning as if it was produced by her heart itself.

Edmund could only think of one source for a solution: the Meadow Witches.
