EPILOGUE

STEPHEN TYLER's POV

I couldn't help but to get emotional while watching my bride slowly walking down the aisle wearing her beautiful wedding gown. I couldn't believe that this day has finally come. After all the things that we've been through that tested our love for each other, we finally got to this point.

While the song 'Make you feel my love' was playing on the background, she was walking so elegantly and gracefully. There was a smile on her lovely face but I could tell that she was very emotional just like me. I knew that both our hearts were swelling with so much happiness.

Then her parents joined her before they walked her to the aisle, to me. Our eyes locked on each other the whole time.

When she finally reached my spot, a sweet smile of happiness occurred our lips.

"Kelly is our family's treasure Tyler. We have loved, protected and treasure her like a precious gem and I am hoping that you will do the same as well. Hurt her and I will surely take her back from you without a second thought." the threatening voice of Mr. Nelson Knight, Kelly's father.

I swallowed hard but I nodded my head and met his gaze.

"Rest assured, sir, because I love Kelly so much. I will do everything for her and I will make her happy until my last breath." I said full of promise. I knew that he haven't fully accepted me yet for Kelly because of what happened before. He thought that Kelly wasn't my priority because I couldn't even be there for her.

I asked his forgiveness and tried to explain my side to him when we met in person again. Three days after Kelly and I got reunited, her father came back to New York. We had a man to man talk and I couldn't help but to get nervous because of how serious and strict he was. His voice was stern the whole time while staring daggers at me...

"I know Kelly is already at the right age to decide for herself but as her father, I want the best for her. I hate seeing my daughter cry but you made her cry. I was by her side and saw how sad she was when you promised her that you would come home but you couldn't fulfill that promise.

"I was so mad at you back then but guess what? She chose to understand you because of your situation with your brother. I saw how she pretended to be fine in front of everyone and during those times that she talks to you but whenever she thought that no one was around looking at her, her face looked so sad.

"I told her to just give up on you and focus on her baby instead but she said no because she loves you so much. She chose to wait and tried to be fine again especially when you both agreed upon that you would come home to her before she gives birth.

"Then when she was in labor, she was calling for your name but you couldn't come again. You weren't there. She was crying and in so much pain. Now tell me, why would I accept someone like you for my daughter?" he asked with an anger-laced voice. His face was stoic and unmoving.

I swallowed hard. I knew myself to be a brave and strong man but I couldn't help but to get nervous. I didn't want to make a mistake by saying something that he wouldn't like because he might take away Kelly from me. I didn't want to create any problem that would surely cause a conflict between me and Kelly's family.

I wanted everything to be okay so that everyone would be happy. I wanted to have a fresh start with the love of my life and our little princess.

"I know that I had a lot of shortcomings and I am regretting it, sir. I'm sorry that I couldn't be there for Kelly when she needed me the most and I don't want to make any excuses because no matter what I'd say, I still hurt Kelly. I made her feel alone during her pregnancy until she gave birth to our daughter.

"I know that no matter what I'd do, nothing could already change the fact that I became unfair to her. I didn't want to choose between my brother and my family because I love them all. Kelly and our daughter are my life and God knows that I really wanted to be with them.

"But there was Syril, my brother. He's the only family I have left and I couldn't just leave him alone especially that his condition back then worsened. I was torn between going home to Kelly or stay with Syril in Germany but then I chose to stay for my brother's sake. I knew that I was asking Kelly too much back then but being the understanding person that she was, she chose to understand me.

"I don't know what to say for you to forgive and accept me for Kelly, sir, but I love your daughter so much. So much that I wouldn't surely survive life without her by my side. Please, give me another chance to prove to you that she and our daughter are my priority. I hope that you give us your blessing because I really want to marry your daughter, sir."

"Do you want to marry her because you two have a daughter together and because your responsibility to your brother finally ended now that he's recovered fully? What if your brother was still in the same condition until now? Would you ever come home to Kelly? Would you ever make time to even come home to see them?" that caught me off guard. I clearly knew the answer to his first question but his second question surprised me. I wasn't expecting him to throw that question to me.

I tried to asses myself and I found the answer right away. A smile occurred my lips.

"Just as I've told you, sir. I love Kelly and Stephanie Jane so much. They're my life. Before I went to Germany, I already proposed to her because I was already sure back then that she's the only woman for me. So my answer to your first question is no because my reason is love" I answered with all honesty. I paused for a couple of seconds, waiting for him to comment about it but he remained quiet. I continued.

"And if in case Syril was still in the same state until now, I would still come home to Kelly when I could because I know that she needs me too. As a brother, I did everything I could so that Syril's condition would get better but I would do anything to be with Kelly too. I don't know how would I do it but I know that I could find a way. Kelly is way too important to me to neglect just like that especially that we already have a baby".

"But you already did it" I nodded my head, accepting my mistake.

"I know that, sir, and if I could only take back the time, I would've tried harder to make time for her. But now that I have the opportunity to correct my mistakes, I will do anything to make it up to her" he didn't answer for a couple of seconds before he heaved a sigh and then spoke.

"Much as I wanted to get mad at you for making my daughter sad like that, I can't do that because I can see that you really love her. I can tell by the way you look at her and that's the only thing that I want from you. Love her and don't hurt her anymore. That will be the first and last time that you made her sad like that because you won't like the consequences when I see my daughter cry like that again.

"I know that it's just normal for a couple to have some misunderstandings but I am hoping that you two could your problems without hurting each other's feelings. You two have a child already and I don't want to deprive Kelly her happiness. That's you"

"I'll try my best, sir. I don't know what will happen in the future but I am confident that our love for each other will withstand everything"

"I hope so too" he answered and surprisingly, his voice softened.

"Take care of my daughter and granddaughter, Tyler" joy filled my heart. I couldn't control the smile that broke across my lips.

"Thank you, sir. I will do my best"

"Don't call me, sir! You're making me feel like an old fart. Just call me dad" my eyes widened in surprise. I thought it would be hard for him to just accept me for Kelly but I was wrong. I felt so relieved and happy. At last, everything's falling into place.

"Thank you, dad" he nodded his head and then tapped my shoulder.

"I'll entrust our daughter to you, Tyler. Make her happy by loving her truly" It was Kelly's mother. They really love Kelly so much and I could tell that they're emotional right now because their only daughter would start her own family.

"Yes, mom, dad. You have my word" I gave them a bear hug before I took Kelly's hand and faced her to the altar.

"You're so beautiful, xuxu" she gave me a sweet smile.

"And you're so handsome, honey" we stared lovingly into each other's eyes full of love. When the ceremony finally began, the emotions heightened as well especially when we recited our vows for each other. Kelly and I couldn't hold back our tears. Even our relatives and friends got touched of our vows.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I present you Mr. and Mrs. Silva. Mr. Silva, you may now kiss your bride" the priest announced and the overwhelming happiness swelled my heart. As corny as may sound but I wanted to jump for joy because finally, Kelly is my wife.

I lifted up her veil with my slightly trembling hands.

"Finally, you're really mine now, xuxu. I can finally shout to the world that you're my wife" she smiled at me full of happiness. I slowly drew my face closer to hers and we both closed our eyes the moment our lips met.

It was the sweetest and emotional kissed that we've ever shared and it felt so wonderful. We heard the claps and cheers of the people around us.

After that kiss, we smiled to each other happily as our hands intertwined together. We faced our relatives and friends. I raised our intertwined hands and proudly showed our wedding rings. I was so proud to show to the world that Kelly is finally my wife.

The cheers and claps became even louder.

After the picture taking, everyone proceeded to the wedding reception and everyone celebrated with us happily.

All the important people in our lives were there and that completed our happiness. But then, I couldn't help but to get a little bit sad because Syril didn't come. I sent him an invitation but maybe, he wasn't ready yet to come back and face us. I understood his situation though.

The next day after our wedding, we flew to Hawaii for our honeymoon. Kelly and I decided to spend our honeymoon there because we had happy memories there together.

We brought our little princess with us because she was still breastfeeding. Kelly didn't want to leave her. Our honeymoon served as our first family vacation too and I felt like I was floating with happiness the entire time.

During the day, our family spent our time touring around but during the night, Kelly and I would make love passionately.

Just like that night. Kelly took a shower early so I did the same. When I went out of the bathroom, I saw her playing with our little princess on our bed. SJ aka Stephanie Jane is already 5 months old and she's the most cheerful baby.

"Yeah. She's just like her daddy. Impatient" we both laughed. Kelly shook her head and then opened her blouse to breastfeed our daughter. SJ latched on her mother's breast right away.

"You should sleep early, sweetheart, so that daddy could have alone time with mommy, okay?" I said playfully and then kissed her forehead.

"Hey! Don't say those things to her!" Kelly hissed and pinched me on the side. I laughed heartily.

"It's okay. She doesn't understand yet, right, sweetheart?" I cooed SJ and to my surprise, she giggled cutely.

"Whatever! Go and get dress" I looked at myself. I was wearing nothing apart from the towel around my waist.

"There's no need to do that, xuxu" her eyebrows creased.

"And why's that?"

"Because we will make love later, of course. Don't tell me you want to make love with me with clothes on?" I teased her. Her cheeks flushed and she sneered at me which made me laugh again. She looked so beautiful blushing like that.

I kissed her lips before I sat next to them. We both watched SJ being breastfed until she finally fell asleep. Kelly put her in her crib.

Yes. This is just the start of the new chapter in our lives but I know that what we have is for forever. Life isn't a fairytale and I know that there would be problems that would test our love for each other once again but we will surely make it through that together.

Our love is stronger than any storm. We only need to believe, trust, love and be faithful to one another and everything will be alright. Proper communication is the key.

We belong to each other and nothing could separate us.
