KELLY's POV

I bit my lower lip when I noticed the weird expression on Stephen's face. His face was hard while looking at Mike. Mike met Stephen's gaze with evident displeasure on his face. I drew a deep breath before I closed the gap between me and Stephen.

"Hey. Aren't you going to greet me?" I asked him sweetly, intentionally trying to get his attention. He threw me a glance before he looked back at Mike for good three seconds and then brought back his attention to me again.

"What about you? Aren't you going to greet me?" he questioned in return. I pursed my lips and almost rolled my eyes. I knew that tone of his. He's jealous even though he's trying his hardest to appear emotionless and uncaring. I could feel the tension radiating from his body.

I heaved a sigh and then tiptoed to kiss him on the cheek. I heard someone gasped and I didn't need to look behind me to know who it was. Mike.

"That's it?" Stephen complained. I rolled my eyes and then clung my arms around his neck. I felt his arm encircled around my waist. His eyes were now smoldering.

"Can I kiss you later instead? It's kinda embarrassing because we're not alone and---" before I could even finished what I was about to say, he pulled me even closer to his hard body and then sealed my lips with a rough, needy but passionate kiss. I groaned in protest and was about to distance myself from him but he didn't allow me to do so.

I already expected this to happen that's why I didn't want him to see me with Mike. He becomes possessive whenever he's threatened and jealous like this. Judging from his kiss, I knew that he was just marking his territory and showing Mike that I am his.

I couldn't help but to get overwhelmed with that hot kiss though. His kisses were really addictive and it's waking the wild side of me.

"Hmmm...That made me feel better" he uttered the moment he let go of my lips. We were both breathing hard because of the kiss that we just shared.

"W-What is the meaning of this, Kelly?" the shock voice of Mike. I bit my lower lip and gave Stephen a look.

"You're really so naughty!" I hissed at him but he just grinned triumphantly at me. I pinched him on the side which made him laugh. He unwrapped his arm from my waist but then put it over my shoulders this time.

I faced my Mike. He looked confused and hurt at the same time. Cyrus behind him was scratching the back of his head while looking at Mike with pity.

I heaved a sigh and then gave Mike a sympathetic look. I opened my mouth to answer him when Stephen suddenly spoke.

"Thank you for always taking care of my girlfriend during school hours, man" he said nonchalantly and I stealthily elbowed him but he didn't even flinch. He's really naughty whenever he wants to!

"Girlfriend?" Mike mimicked as if he still couldn't believe of what was happening.

"Yes. She's my girlfriend. Actually, we're celebrating our first month together as a couple today so we need to go now. Have a nice day" I gave Stephen a warning look for him to shut up but he just beamed at me and then planted a quick kiss on my lips.

"Let's go, xuxu?" I pinched him again on the side, harder this time, and it made him finch. He was about to say something again when I motioned for him to keep quiet. He sighed and didn't dare say anything.

I faced Mike.

"Sorry that I didn't mention about this to you, Mike" a bitter smile broke across his face.

"This is the real reason why you've been avoiding me, isn't it?" I could sense the pain in his voice. I suddenly felt guilty.

"I didn't mean to avoid you" I didn't know what to say in order to lessen the sadness on his face. I deliberately didn't mention about Stephen and I's relationship to him because I didn't want to hurt his feelings. He nodded his head in understanding.

"D-Don't worry, Kelly. I accept my defeat" that made me feel a little bit better.

"I'll go on ahead. See you tomorrow" he left without waiting for my response. I was about to follow him but Stephen stopped me.

"I need to go too. See you tomorrow, Kelly" Cyrus said and then tapped Stephen on the shoulder. When Cyrus drove off with his car, I forcefully removed Stephen's arm from over my shoulders and then glared at him.

"What? Why are you staring at me like that, xuxu, hmmm?" he asked sweetly and then handed me the bouquet of flowers that he'd been holding since a while ago.

"This is for you. Happy first month to the two of us" I raised an eyebrow at him and then crossed my arms across my chest. I didn't take the bouquet because of annoyance.

"Really? You're going to act as if you didn't do anything wrong just now?" I couldn't help but to get pissed off. He gave me a confused look that I almost punched his face. My eyes turned into slits and glared at him even more.

He sighed in defeat.

"Fine. I'm sorry, xuxu. I know that I shouldn't've done that but I couldn't help it. I knew that he has feelings for you and I even heard him confessed to you at the party that's why I really hate it when you're together with him"

"That's why you kissed me in front of him to---"

"---to shatter his fantasy that he still has a chance with you!" he interrupted me. I didn't answer for a couple of seconds. I then released a harsh breath.

"Mike is my friend"

"Friend? Maybe for you, he's only a friend but what about him? He likes you not as a friend but as a woman!" he retorted. His jaw flexed. I couldn't find the right words to answer that because I knew that he was right. Mike likes me. I heaved a sigh.

"Xuxu, please, don't get mad at me. I'm sorry if you got ticked off of what I did. I just can't help being jealous sometimes. C'mon, we shouldn't fight now because we should be celebrating" he stared at me with puppy dog eyes and then gave me the bouquet again. I mentally shook my head and accepted it. I couldn't get mad at him for long anyway.

"You're being corny. It's just our first month together but you're acting as if it's already our first anniversary"

"C'mon, xuxu. People also celebrates the first month of being together" I couldn't help but to laugh.

"Where did you hear that anyway?" he scratched the back of his head.

"Well, I've seen it a couple of times already...C'mon, don't laugh at me" he rebuked when he noticed me snickering. My annoyance at him was replaced by amusement. I couldn't help myself and kissed him on the cheek. He looked so adorable.

I've never seen him act like this before.

"Thank you for the flowers, honey" a wide smile occurred his lips.

"What about here, xuxu?" he asked sweetly while pointing on his lips. I rolled my eyes before I kissed him on the lips.

"Hmmm...delicious" he hugged me tightly and I hugged him back. As usual, my heart was beating erratically again and I felt so happy and contented. I was aware that our relationship wasn't that perfect but whenever we're together like this, I felt like everything will be alright somehow.

"Let's go?" he asked and then put a little space between us.

"Home?"

"Of course not. Let's have a date" I pursed my lips.

"But I have a lot of assignments for tomorrow" the excitement on his face disappeared in an instant.

"Seriously?" I nodded my head as I faked a sad expression. He raked his fingers through his hair in frustration. I bit my lower lip to prevent myself from laughing but to no avail. He scowled at me.

"You're making fun of me" his tone was certain, his eyes turned dark. I cupped his face.

"Sorry, honey. You're just too adorable and I couldn't help myself from teasing you a little bit" he scoffed.

"A little bit, huh" before I could even react, he pulled me by the nape and then crushed his lips against mine. He kissed me fervently and hungrily that I almost ran out of breath.

"That's your punishment for teasing me like that" he said huskily when he let go of my lips. I gave him a sneer but he just smirked at me.

"Whatever" I said while catching my breath. He laughed. Well, in the end, he had the last laugh again. I couldn't help but to stare at him while laughing. Our real situation suddenly dawned on me.

Until now, I still couldn't figure out the real him. I wanted to believe on my instincts and what my heart was saying but I need more evidence, hoping that I was right about him.

"Why are you staring at me like that all of a sudden, xuxu?" I smiled.

"Nothing, honey. Don't mind me. I'm just happy"

"Because of me?" I rolled my eyes of his question.

"Obviously! Who else do you think is the reason?" he laughed heartily and then took my hand and kissed it. He intertwined our fingers together after that.

"Let's go?" I nodded my head with a smile but deep inside of me, I was secretly hoping that we would stay happy like this.

"I thought we're going to a restaurant for dinner?" I asked confusedly when he parked the car in front of a big house. Well, it's a mansion actually. It was already 7 pm because we went to the cinema to watch a romantic movie first before coming here.

"Shhh...Just follow me, xuxu" he answered and then went out of the car. I was about to open the car door when he quickly opened it for me. I couldn't help but to smile. He really is a gentleman when he wants to.

"Thank you, honey" he beamed and took my hand and entwined our hands together. He unlocked the door and I couldn't help but to get amazed when we the luxurious inside of the house came into our view.

Yes, I was right. The house was indeed an old style one but it was so classic and beautiful on its own. It was screaming of wealth.

"Whose house is this? Why are we here?" I asked curiously while looking around us. The mansion of my grandparents was beautiful too but it was a modern style one unlike this house but even though the amenities and furniture were kinda looked like antiques, it still looked cozy and homey.

"Did you like it?" I nodded my head without looking at him because I was still busy looking around. He chuckled.

"This house is our ancestral house" my eyes widened and snapped my head to his direction. He laughed.

"You look surprised"

"Well, I didn't expect that...that you're this rich" I voiced out and he laughed amusedly.

"My father inherited this house from his parents" his aura became sad the moment he said that. He looked at the life size oil painting. It was a wedding picture but the way it was painted was so perfect. They must be his parents.

Stephen's eyes became sombre and there was a pained smile on his lips while staring at the painting.

"Are they your parents?" the answer was obvious but I just wanted to say something to get his attention. He nodded his head.

"You're mother looks a lot like you" I commented. He smiled with that. This time, it wasn't a forced smile but there was still evident sadness.

"Yes. My mother used to tease my father a lot because my brother and I resembled to her a lot" that caught my attention.

"Now that you mentioned it, I've never met your brother. You used to mention about him from time to time before but you never introduced him to me" he faced me and then caressed my cheek while gazing at me lovingly.

"Soon, xuxu" I didn't know if it was just imagination or what but there was uncertainty in his voice when he said that.

"Are you sure?" there was an unknown emotion that passed through his eyes before he nodded his head. I cleared my throat. I suddenly felt like something was odd with him all of a sudden.

"So, am I going to meet your parents now?" I tried to sound enthusiastic to lighten the situation. I felt his body stiffen and he went silent for a couple of seconds.

"D-Did I say something bad?" I couldn't help but ask confusedly.

"They died when I was 10 years old" I gasped against my palm.

"Sorry, honey. I didn't know" I said apologetically. I hugged him tightly. He hugged me back. I felt him kissed my forehead.

"It's okay. You don't have to say sorry because you didn't do anything"

"You didn't mention about it to me before so I didn't know. Gosh! I'm so insensitive. I shouldn't've have asked that" he put a little space between us and then cupped my face.

"Don't feel bad. It's my fault because I didn't tell you about it" he smiled and then pecked my lips with a gentle kiss.

"Let's not talk about sad things like this. I brought you here because I wanted to be with you" he continued. I smiled because of what I've heard. I was about to answer him when we heard a voice.

"Oh, you're here. Why didn't you call me so that I could've open the gate for you and your visitor" the woman said. She looked like she's in her late 50s.

Stephen chuckled and then let go of me. He approached the older woman and then put his arm over her shoulders.

"You don't have to do that, Carmen. I have my keys and besides, I'm not a kid anymore" he even hugged Carmen which made the latter smile. Stephen let go of her and then went back beside me and then took my hand.

"Xuxu, I want you to meet Carmen. She's the head maid of this house. Carmen, this is Kelly, my girlfriend" Stephen sounded so proud while introducing me to her. Carmen was undeniably surprised but her smile was genuine.

"This is the first time that you brought a woman here and I was right that she might be special to you when you told me about her the other day. Anyway, everything is ready" Stephen thanked her. I was kinda confused of what she was referring to but when Stephen and I reached the dining area, I was surprised of what I saw.

The entire room was decorated with balloons, flowers and many more. The table was set for a dinner for two. The ambiance was so romantic. The light was dim but it only added to the romantic ambiance.

"Carmen helped me to prepare all these. This is for you, xuxu" he handed me three long stemmed red roses. My heart swelled.

"Thank you, honey, but you didn't have to do this. It's just our first month as a couple"

"I did it because I want to make you happy" I smiled at that. He's really sweet!

"C'mon and sit" he pulled a chair for me. Later on, we began eating. The food were all delicious and I got surprised when I learned that he was the one who cooked all of the food.

After eating, he asked me for a sweet and slow dance. Everything was so perfect and we were both happy.

"Thank you again for the wonderful evening, honey" I said. We were at the terrace, stargazing while talking about random stuff. We were sitting on the rattan lounge chair while he was hugging me from behind.

"Don't mention it. Anyway, give me your hand, xuxu"

"Why?" I asked but obliged anyway. I felt something cold that touched my wrist.

"I made this one for you" It was a bracelet but the design was familiar.

"You made it?" I asked in awe. He smiled and then kissed me. I wanted to ask some questions but that faded away from my head when the kiss we're sharing became deep and needy. I moaned in delight.

I felt his hand caressing my back sensually as his other hand went to my nape and pulled me even closer if that was even possible.

I kissed him back with equal fervor. I was already so lost of all the sensations that I was feeling. My head was hazy and the capability to think rationally faded away into thin air. I felt like the temperature became hotter.

"I want you, xuxu" he said huskily the moment our lips parted. I could see the desire in his eyes and that made me swallowed hard.

He cupped my face.

"I need you. Please, say yes" his eyes were begging and I didn't have the strength to deny him. Oh, my...

Their relationship is getting serious now. Secrets are slowly being revealed.
