◆Chapter 10◆

One week later,
Afternoon,
Hari's room...

Kurono's POV

I shook off my white raincoat from my body, taking out a hanger from the closet and hang my coat on it. I put the hanger back into my closet, closing the door slowly. The creeking sound echoed in my quiet bedroom.

I looked around my personal space, heavy silence filling in the atmosphere. Izuku had to go somewhere with Kai, or should I be frank...

Kai was taking Izuku out for lunch.

That new head of Shie Hassaikai did not know the truth about my relationship with Izuku... She is officially my girlfriend.

But somehow, Izuku wanted to keep it secret from Kai-- Overhaul. She said she didn't want to upset him, or worse, suspect us scheming something behind him.

That is a logic reason, but I don't want Izuku to hang out with him.

Izuku is mine.

I sat on my cozy bed that I shared with Izuku. I looked up to the ceiling blankly, as I recalled my conversation with Izuku a week ago where I learnt a shocking truth from her.

"What is the matter, Izuku? You look pale..." I asked the green-haired girl in worry. She was fidgeting and her fist was shaking slightly.

"Are you aware of it?" Izuku spoke up all of a sudden, looking straight into my eyes. "Aware of what?" I raised an eyebrow, confused.

"Kai had come to our room for a few times." She said in seriousness. A rush of realization hit me like a truck. "Yeah, kinda... But I'm not sure of it though. Maybe I was only daydreaming–"

"It was not a dream, Hari!" Izuku cut me off, her small hands gripping my shoulders firmly. "I-I am the one who caused it..." She answered, solving the puzzle in my mind.

"Wait... How...?!"

"There is more about my Quirk that I, myself, don't know about..." She explained, burying her face in my chest. "Both of my parents didn't have this Quirk... My mom's is Attraction of Small Object while my dad's is Fire Breathing... And I was born with this mysterious Quirk that I didn't know where it came from."

"From what I remembered, my Quirk is considered mutated-Quirk since none of my family members have this power..." She bit on her bottom lip, quivering.

"So... What is your point actually?" I questioned, still clueless.

Izuku lifted her head up, her irises trembling. "I think I can control the future itself." She stated unsurely.

Silence.

I was too shocked to even react or say anything back. I opened my mouth a few times, but nothing came out. It felt like the words were stuck in my throat.

"What you said is actually true. Kai had come to our room for a few times. And was about to do something... Sinful to me. But I snapped, and lost control of my power. When I returned to my sense, the time was rewind, and I was in the bathroom back." Izuku tried to explain properly but I still... Did not understand.

"I know it is confusing. I ak only telling you this because I trust you, Hari... Can you... Promise not to tell Kai about my Quirk? Please..." She begged, gazing into my irises with her cute puppy eyes.

I sighed, and smiled at my love. "I promise, Izu. I won't tell Overhaul about this."

Our conversation ended there, and Izuku then put on her clothes to get ready for breakfast.

"A power to control future itself... That is one powerful Quirk, if she can control it." I murmured to myself in amazement. To be honest, her Quirk would not have advantage in battle unless she was provided with special weapon to fight the enemy.

Sigh... This whole mess is such a pain. Why did I agree to follow Overhaul again?

Meanwhile,
In a restaurant...

Midoriya's POV

"Wah~ So good!" I beamed in happiness as I ate the luxurious lunch Kai had treated me to. He just watched me eating while he remained quiet. "Kai, you are not eating?" I asked, voice low filled with concern.

"Ah, pardon me... I seemed to lose in my own world." Kai chuckled heartily, sliding down his black face mask and let it rested under his chin. Kai did not feel bother with inhaling the same air as those sick creatures since he chose a private room for both of us, completely isolated from the crowd.

Honestly, I really hope Hari would come along. But Kai insisted on only me to come with him... I had no choice to but agree. He didn't know about my status yet.

I belonged to Hari.

"Say, Izuku..." Kai suddenly spoke up, snapping me back into reality. "Y-yes, Kai?" I stammeree since I was caught off guard.

"How far in the future could you see... Actually?" Kai asked, curiousity glint in his golden irises. "I don't know. I could only see the vision of future, but I could not predict the exact time it will happen." I said calmly before swallowing the food I chewed up.

"Hm, I see... Then, do you mind if I ask you to take a look in my future?"

Kai's demand made me choked on my food. I raised up my head, eyes clouded with disbelief.

Why did he seem so interest in my Quirk? I thought he hates Quirks–

"Well, will you?" Kai raised his eyebrow, showing his interest in me. I awkwardly nodded my head and gave him a fake smile.

As I grow, I realized I can see near future -- something that will happen in the next few seconds, minutes, hours -- even without making physical contact.

But when it comes to seeing distant future, I have to look into that person's eyes in order to see their distant future.

"Get ready. Don't move or close your eyes until I say so..." I instructed and Kai obediently followed.

I shut my eyes closed, before opening them again. My irises flashed bright yellow, signing that my Quirk had been activated. I looked straight into Kai's pupils and the vision began appearing before me.

Huh?

This is...

A few seconds passed and I deactivated my Quirk. My head started spinning, dizziness attacking me. "So, how was it?" Kai asked eagerly.

I resulted to silence, not sure whether to answer his question or not.

That future... Was not a bad one. Not bad for me, but bad for Kai.

My hand unconsciously clenched into fists, shaking. "Your plan... Is going well...." I replied, lowering my voice. Kai looked satisfied with my reply.

"That is a relief to hear." Kai said in content, the smile on his face never disappeared.

Sorry Kai... Sorry...

But it is a lie.
