DEAN'S POV
$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Two years had passed since we got Evelyn. And let's just say, you could tell she was mine. Our personalities were almost identical.

Her favorite song was TNT by ACDC, her favorite snack was apple pie. We were at Bobby's, dad was working a case with Sammy. He wanted me to come but u wanted to spend time with Eve.

"Daddy!" Evelyn's high pitched little voice rang out throughout Bobby's house. I chuckled a little and walked into the kitchen where Bobby was trying to get her to eat some chicken noodle soup.

"What is it baby girl?" I asked. "Uncle Bobby. Won't let me have pie." Eve said as best she could.

I chuckled. "Eveie, you gotta eat your dinner first." Evelyn frowned at me. "I promise, I'll get you pie, if you eat a bowl of soup first." I told her.

Evelyn rolled her eyes and let Bobby feed her the soup.

"I still don't know how you do that." Bobby muttered. "She don't do nothin' I tell her to. Neither do you." Bobby added giving me a look.

I chuckled. "I guess we know where she gets it from." I said smiling as I dug around in the fridge. I pulled out the rest if the pizza we had ordered last night and started eating it cold.

---

A few hours later I had Eve on my lap. We were sitting on the couch watching TV when dad and Sammy finally got back it was pretty dark out.

"How'd it go?" I asked. "Fine. It was just a pissed off spirit." Sammy said.

"Uncle Sam!" Evelyn squealed as she jumped off the couch.

Eve ran to Sam who gladly picked her up. "Hey eveie!" Sam said enthusiastically as he tickled her.

"Don't drop her Sam." Dad said as he came in behind Sam.

"Grandpa!" Evelyn yelled as best she could.

Despite their beginning, my dad and Evelyn got really close. Dad smiled and took Eveyln from Sam. "You miss me?" He asked as he put his rifle down.

She nodded and wrapped her tiny little arms around his neck. I smiled. Evelyn was one of the few things that could make my dad crack a genuine smile.

I watched as Eveie tried to talk to Dad, and as he struggled to understand and respond to her.

"Shouldn't you be in bed?" Dad asked. Evelyn shook her head.

I smiled and stood up, taking her from dad. "Grandpa's right Eve, it's late." I told her. She yawned and shook her head again.

"Your tired kid, I'm putting you to sleep." Dad said and started walking upstairs to her small room
Bobby had set up for her a year ago.

I couldn't stop the smile from forming at the sight.

I was beyond happy that my family didn't cast me and Evelyn away to fend for ourselves.

Instead the did the opposite, and that meant the world to me.
