"That's good to hear that he talks about me," Adrianna blushed as she looked down.

"Right, isn't it a good thing he talks about you," Isis smiled at Adrianna in genuinely.

"Are you Alpha Issac's mate by chance?" Luna Astra asked.

Isis looked away from Adrianna and lightly chuckled.

"No, my mate died long ago, Ms. Talia is just someone I genuinely care for," Issac explained with no emotion in his tone.

Everyone around the table gasped including me. It was rare for mates to survive if the other has died off and I had only assumed that Issac never found his mate.

"Well damn, how are you still alive? You must not have been attached to her," Alpha Michael asked.

I noticed he tightened his fist in anger and then relaxed them as Isis shot him a glance.

"I loved my mate with every fiber in my body and I was ready to devote my entire life to that woman. Unfortunately she died during an........attack while giving birth to our child, both her and my son didn't survive," His breath became ragged with desperation as he looked down at the table, unable to make eye contact with anyone.

I watched as Isis slid her hand over to Issac and placed her hand gently on top of his fist and squeezed, careful not to scrape her nails against his flesh. The sight of it angered me but was I any better with Adrianna clinging onto me like some lost child?

I didn't realize I had tensed up so much until I felt Adrianna squeeze my hand. I looked down and also noticed she was staring at Isis and Issac. I looked back over and noticed that the look in Isis's eyes when she stared at Issac wasn't a look of endearment but more of a intimidating expression in her eyes. They both locked eyes for a moment and Issac immediately stopped talking, as if he were silenced.

"I never heard that the Supreme Blood Deity pack was attacked, I'm so sorry for your loss.....maybe that's why you're such a asshole," Alpha Michael said inconsiderately.

I noticed Luna Astra nudged him and turned back to Issac.

"I'm sorry to ask but how did you survive, you must know it's extremely rare for a wolf to survive without their mate so how did you come to terms with it?" Astra asked, curiosity dancing in the pupils of her eyes.

Almost as if she didn't care necessarily about Issac but more about how he got over it.

"I found something to devote my life to, I found another purpose in life and I will do everything in my heart to see it protected. I found someone to give my heart and soul to and that is Ms. Talia, she gave me another reason to continue on living and I will make it so that I see it through," He grabbed her hand tightly as he squeezed it.

She smiled at him, content with his words almost and looked back over at me as she threw a quick wink in my direction before turning away.

Isis didn't seem like the type to keep lovers, she even said so herself that Issac was nothing more than someone to fuck, so why were his words so heartfelt and loving?

"That's cute, now why the fuck are we here? You said you murdered the Golden Light pack right?" Alpha Michael said impatiently as the server placed all of our plates in front of us.

"I'm sorry ma'am did you want to order anything?" The server asked as he approached Isis. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply and I watched as her nails grew slightly longer and the veins in her arm began to become more prominent.

"Do you happen to be on the menu? You seem like the perfect full course," She flirted drunkenly towards him.

He smiled and looked away as he cleared his throat and shook his head.

"No ma'am not at all but I'm very flattered," He said shyly.

"Don't be, your soul is in pain and crying out for me to consume," She muttered lowly to herself but I caught every word.

It eased my wolf to know that she wasn't flirting with him cause she thought he was attractive but it horrified me to know that she wanted to consume him.

"Well then I think I've had my fill tonight, no need to indulge in other things," She licked her lips and smirked.

As the server walked away, immediately the atmosphere around the table grew tense and thick as the conversation turned serious.

"Yes, I massacred the Golden Light pack. We had an agreement and Alpha Kali betrayed that agreement and I couldn't let that slide," Issac explained as Isis sat back and crossed her arms to hide the protruding veins in her wrist.

"But why? Why hasn't the council heard or done anything about this?" Astra interjected.

Michael nudged her and then glared.

"Shut up, why can't you be quiet like Alpha Kaiden's mate?" Michael hissed at her.

"Because you're not asking the right questions and this affects all surrounding territories," Astra snapped at him.

He glared at her and moved his hand under the table so no one else could see but something he did made her flinch and immediately quiet down.

I looked over and noticed Isis's attention no longer on Adrianna and I, but on Luna Astra as the corner of her lips slightly curved into a smile.

"Because Alpha Kali is still alive in the pack, he simply broke the terms of the agreement he discussed with Alpha Issac and he couldn't let that slide now could he?" Isis smirked, leaning more towards Astra who had her head hung low.

"So then that means his mate and son are alive?" Michael asked.

"I murdered both his Luna and his child, to make sure he wouldn't die I had to kill her slowly and tediously to the point where Alpha Kali couldn't differentiate the difference between torture and her actual death, that method takes a toll on you," Issac explained coldly.

Now that I remember, I do remember Isis telling me that she got rid of the Luna and the future Alpha but not the actual Alpha.

" What about the others in the pack?" Adrianna asked beside me.

"Simple questions from a simple little girl, you're half human right? Raised by humans and know nothing about werewolves correct? I don't mean to dig into you but you fascinate me," Isis turned her attention back to us and looked at Adrianna with a bored expression.

"I fascinate you?" Adrianna asked curiously.

"Don't take it as a compliment, I'm fascinated at how weak and useless you are, isn't it mysterious that the moon goddess somehow paired you with THE Alpha Kaiden of the Dark Moon pack?" She smiled as she verbally broke Adrianna down.

She was toying with her, I know how badly she wanted to kill her and of course I wouldn't let her kill her but if she really wanted to kill her THAT badly then she could have already done so. She said she wanted to break me down, was toying with Adrianna part of the plan of breaking me down?

Alpha Michael and Luna Astra both quietly snickered to themselves and immediately stopped when I glared at them.

"Just answer her damn question and stop toying with her!" I barked irritated because I didn't understand her.

"You're so feisty Kaiden, you just make it so much more entertaining," She chuckled as she picked up the knife on the table and spun it between her fingers like Issac did earlier in the night.

"We only murdered a little more than half of the Golden Light pack, a necessary sacrifice to get the point across but the rest of them are living happily in the pack, waiting to be formally introduced as official pack members," She smiled cheerfully as if telling us good news.

"What was the sole purpose of telling us all of this?" Astra asked after her long silence.

"Now that wasn't a simple question, you fascinate me Luna Astra. Such a strong woman, hungry for power anywhere you can get it but you are unsure of yourself, you have a voice but you're not sure how to use it because of your poor excuse of a mate," Isis smiled, drawing closer and closer to Astra.

She blushed and avoided eye contact with Isis as she looked down and coughed awkwardly.

"You're giving her too much credit lady, there's nothing strong about her," Michael rolled his eyes as he continued to stuff his face.

"I know a strong individual when I see one, I recognize that drive and hunger for dominance but you're diminishing her light," Isis sat back with a bored expression on her face.

"Our sole purpose in telling you was to let you know to stay out of our way and mind your business, we mean no harm in any of the surrounding territories but if you as so much as to breath to the council members or any outside bodies about this when we will kill you and everyone in your pack," Issac said roughly as he banged his fist against the table causing everyone except Isis and I to jump.

"I think I'm going to use the restroom," Astra said after a moment of silence.

As she got up from her seat Isis also rose from her seat and smiled.

"I think I'll join you too if you don't mind," She smirked.

I felt Adrianna rise up and I immediately grabbed her arm and pushed her back into her seat as I watched Isis and Astra both walk out of the room.

"Kaiden what was that for?" Adrianna questioned me.

"You don't need to be joining them, they both are bad news for you,"

"I just thought it would be polite since they both were going together," Adrianna said quietly.

"YOU don't need to involve yourself with either of those two, did you not listen to what that woman had to say about you?" I questioned.

She remained quiet and began picking at her plate, avoiding eye contact with me.

"So you just expect us to sit here and do nothing while you claim some territory you murdered people on?" Michael questioned.

"That's precisely what I want you to do, nothing more, nothing less," Issac stated blankly.

"I wonder how much your head would be if I told the Elders about this," Michael smirked manically.

Before Issac could say anything, Isis and Astra walked back in and sat down in their seats. I noticed Isis had a smile on her face but Astra looked a bit red and flustered as she avoided everyone's gaze. I wonder if they talked about something in the bathroom.

"We will be leaving soon," Isis said lowly to Issac but Michael caught every word.

"You think you can leave after what you just told us?!" Michael stood up as he slammed his hands against the table causing everyone to jump except for Isis and I.

"Yes, I know I can leave," She looked at him with a bored expression on her face, the slight gold tint in her eyes now starting to disappear from her eyes and her canines completely hidden.

"Alpha Issac you're gonna regret telling me what you did after I'm done with you and then we are gonna see whose the better Alpha," Michael laughed as he pointed at Issac.

"This is why we mustn't make children leaders, I'll never understand why you wolves think 18 is an appropriate age to give a child a huge responsibility like being an Alpha," Isis stated as yawned, beckoning Michael to sit back down.

"You've been talking a hell of a lot for someone whose a fucking nobody in this group, you're not even a fucking Luna but yet you find yourself important enough to be talking to an Alpha like that?" Michael snapped at her.

I immediately felt my muscles tightening and a headache forming in the back of my head as I fought the urge to bow my head against the table. I looked over at Adrianna and noticed her head in her hands with her elbows on the table, silent tears streaming down her face. I looked back over at Isis and noticed she was no longer smiling but she had a blank expression to her face. I felt this sensation before. This was just like that time back in her pack when she gave off that murderous aura during our dinner meeting.

"Don't speak on things you know nothing about boy, of all the people in this room I'm the most important one," She said with such a venomous tone.

"You're just a bitch whose only good at sucking d-"

It happened so quick I almost didn't catch it with my own eyes. Her chair flew across the room as she dashed over to Michael with such ease and grace. She grabbed ahold of his throat and slammed him against the wall causing it to crack and break under the sudden pressure and speed. Her nails extended into talons as that murderous look grew in her eyes and she smiled manically at him.

"Let me finish that sentence for you, I'm just a bitch whose only good at sucking dimwitted pests souls like yours from your body. Now try disrespecting me again while I'm threatening to rip your throat out Michael," She smiled as she squeezed harder against his neck.

Astra made no moves at all to try and stop her, instead she looked at her with wide eyes, looking at her with shock and admiration.

I noticed his face began to turn slightly purple from the lack of oxygen reaching his head, his grip on her hand starting to loosen and that's when I knew I had to intervene.

"That is enough!" I roared.

She looked over at me and smirked as she immediately let go of him, causing him to slump to the floor.

I looked around and noticed a crowd of humans starting to form inside the room, whispering about.

So much for not causing a scene.

She walked over to Astra and motioned for her hand. She looked at her hesitantly before placing her hand in Isis's and standing up, they walked towards the door, Astra following along but I quickly grabbed Isis by the arm, stopping her.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" I hissed at her.

"I am a woman who seeks desire from anyone no matter the gender but I am also a woman who is handling business, my plan does not require you at the moment so do not get in my way, instead go have fun with your human half breed toy but not too much fun or else I'll get tempted and slit her throat in her sleep," She said coldly. She yanked her arm out of my grasp and walked towards the exit, Astra tailing behind her.

"Issac deal with the little boy and find your own way back to Kaiden's pack house," She instructed before walking out of the restaurant.

"Sir I need someone held responsible for these structural damages and then I'm going to have to ask you and your party to leave," A lanky man came cautiously walking up to me, nerves clear in his tone and I could only assume he was a manager of this establishment.

"This is my card to pay for the meal and this is my phone number where you can contact me so that we can discuss the wall," I said as I threw my card into his hand and walked back over to Adrianna who looked rather pale with fear and shock clearly written all over her face. I grabbed her and pressed her close to me, my chin resting onto the top of her head and I sighed heavily, feeling her arms wrap around my torso.

I watched as Issac picked up the now unconscious Alpha Michael effortlessly as he looked back at me briefly before turning to walk out of the door.

"Kaiden what the hell was that all about? Who really is that woman?" Adrianna asked as she looked up at me.

There were so many things I couldn't tell her but I wish I could tell her. I just wanted to tell somebody about what was happening just so someone other than myself could know all that I was dealing with. I had to keep Adrianna in the dark until it was time to let her go. Until I could figure out how I was going to deal with her and Taylor.

"She's dangerous," Was all I could say.

The manager came stalking back towards me with my card in hand and quickly wrote my number down to talk about the wall later. Adrianna and I walked out of the restaurant hand in hand as our driver opened the car door for us and we hopped inside.

"Wasn't she beautiful? I've never seen someone with skin as dark and golden as hers, it was beautiful," I heard Adrianna ask.

"What are you going on about?"

"Ms. Talia, did you like her? You kept staring at her,"I looked over and noticed she was twiddling her thumbs , looking down at her lap as the car began to move.

I couldn't help but stare at her the entire time, her entire existence roped me in and I couldn't look away.

"I don't want to talk about this right now," I huffed.

"Is she your type? Would you have preferred someone like her as your mate? She seemed so powerful and confident, like no one could tell her she was in the wrong," She continued to go on about Isis.

"Now isn't the time to feel insecure, I'm with you right now aren't I?" I said annoyed.

I wasn't annoyed with Adrianna for feeling insecure, she had every right to feel how she felt, I was annoyed because she wasn't wrong.

"Who wouldn't feel insecure in the presence of a woman like that? The way she looked at you...it was like she was looking at something that already belonged to her and it felt like I already lost you when you looked back at her," She turned away from me and looked out the window as she said nothing more.

It was like I roped a human who knew nothing into this mess, her death was going to be all my fault, her broken heart was going to be all my fault.

"Why don't you go home and get ready for bed, I'll go pick up Taylor from my sisters house," I said with a smile on my face.

"Okay, thank you," She said, not even turning my way.

We stopped right in front of the house and before she got out of the car, I grabbed her hand and turned her so that she was facing me. Her face looked so soft and delicate in the moonlight. She almost looked as though she would shatter just under the sheer weight of my touch. I picked up her hand and held it up to my mouth as I planted a light kiss upon it.

"I'll see you when I get home," I smiled lightly.

She flashed me a half smile and turned away from me to get out of the car. As she shut the door I huffed loudly and watched as she walked up to our home.

"To Ms. Azia Cadieux's home Alpha?" The driver asked.

"No, I need to go to the pack house first," I stated.

We drove off, making our way towards the pack house as I watched out the windows, each tree whizzing by us in a blur as if they were the ones moving and us absolutely still. It was odd that she gathered us together just to tell us that she murdered the Golden Light pack, something that I had already knew. But what was the purpose of it all? Was there something behind this? With her I never knew what she was thinking, somehow she could always tap into my mind and listen to what I was thinking but I could never do the same to her and it was frustrating. I wanted to know what she had up her sleeve.

Could it possibly have something to do with Luna Astra? She took an odd interest in her tonight of all people tonight.

We pulled up to the pack house and told the driver to wait here before getting out and heading through the front door. I had to ask her about earlier, what I saw in my mind about her eating souls? I couldn't just let it slide since I'm pretty sure she killed quite a few humans because of it. As I reached the second floor, before I turned the corner, I smelt her before I could actually hear her and then I heard the whispering right outside her door.

I pressed my back against the wall and listened closely as I could make out the two voices to be Alpha Isis and Nicholas my third in command.

"You are a Beta born aren't you? But you position here is Gamma (third in command), that must have been so discouraging for yourself," I heard Isis laugh.

"My parents were a bit disappointed but the Alpha still gives me enough important roles as his third in command," Nicholas said cheerfully.

"But is it enough?" She questioned.

Silence took over for a moment almost as if they walked away. I silently peeked around the corner to see Nicholas and Isis now up close and personal with each other. She had her hand wrapped around the back of his neck as she leaned in close, whispering something into his ear. They stood like that for a few minutes, making my wolf slightly on edge at the sight of Isis touching another man. As she backed away she smiled as she looked at me out the corner of her eye and I quickly ducked away.

Had she known I was there that entire time?

"I want you to think on that long and hard...thank you for coming and checking up on me darling, not many people would actually do that," I said her said.

After a moment of silence I heard a door shut and footsteps walking towards me. I looked up to see Nicholas turning the corner with a surprised look on his face. Nicholas was only two years younger than me but he still had that innocent boyish face to him. He was an extremely pale man with reddish brown hair that almost looked fiery in the sunlight. His deep hazel eyes that had a bit more blue in them than mine stared at me in shock as he noticed me standing there. He was born from a strong Beta family and they hoped that he would become the next Beta official of the Dark Moon pack but unfortunately that didn't happen.

Within the werewolf community there are actually different breeds amongst us and that is what us wolves have constructed our entire packs around. Alpha born wolves are extremely rare but also the strongest, fastest and more resilient of the wolves. For generations upon generations the Alpha born have been the leaders of the pack with their Luna's by their side. Pure Alpha born females are even more rare than Alpha born males and they are usually paired with paired with the Alpha males as their mates so that they may both protect and run their pack. Since Alpha females are rare, Alpha males can also be paired off with Beta born's or Gamma born wolves, rarely are they ever paired off with humans or anything less. Alpha's possess special abilities that no other wolves possess such as asserting their dominance by giving off certain aura's they contain to either warn enemies or to force other to submit. Most Alpha's are also possess the 'Alpha tone' ability that forces their pack members and others to submit to their authoritative voice but it doesn't work on Alpha's who are stronger than the user.

Beta born's are second to the Alpha's but are a little more common, they do not possess as much strength and power as Alpha's but they are the second strongest. The difference between Beta born and second in command Beta is choice. The Alpha may choose whomever he wishes to be his second in command but you cannot choose to be a Beta born. It isn't uncommon for an Alpha to give birth to a Beta born or even a Gamma born, of course every Alpha prefers an Alpha born so that they may take over their position as official Alpha. Beta's and Gamma's are able to become Alpha's of the pack but it's extremely rare due to power differences.

Everyone in Nicholas's family are all Beta born so it was surprising when their son came out Gamma born even though it's not uncommon for Beta's to give birth to Gamma's. He possessed all the qualities of a Beta born until about the age of 6 when you are able to tell the true breed of someone. Nicholas was announced a Gamma born, and ever since then he's tried his hardest to appease his family and show them he was just as strong as a Beta born.

"Ah hello Alpha, are you here to visit Ms. Talia?" Nicholas asked as he bowed before me.

"Yes, what were you two speaking about?" I asked annoyed and impatiently.

"Oh I just came by to see how her recovery was going, as I recall she was the woman that Alpha Issac was carrying through the pack correct? Just a small gesture and she was asking me about my position in the pack," Nicholas smiled innocently.

Despite Nicholas having a sweet boyish face, he was actually one of the most cold and brutal between him and Marco. His boyish features were the perfect distraction for the enemy and they would never imagine him to be a ruthless killer. I ended up choosing Marco over him because Marco was a Beta born and I needed someone to be my reason and my guide when I reverted to my cold and aggressive ways....the ways my parents have taught me to use.

"You didn't have to do that Nicholas, her recovery has been well, unfortunately she caused a fucking scene in the restaurant during the meeting and fucked everything up," I said angrily as I thought back on it.

Who knows what will happen when Alpha Michael wakes back up, what must be running through his mind.

"So I've heard, but isn't it a good thing of what's happened to Alpha Michael, young and dumb Alphas must be taught a lesson on whose at the top," Nicholas smiled but the smile didn't reach his words or his eyes, it was nothing but coldness in his words.

"Leave, I will brief you on it in the morning," I grumbled and waved him away.

He smiled and bowed as he walked away.

I rubbed my hands against my face and huffed as I turned the corner and walked down the hall till I was right in front of Isis's door. I raised my fist to knock but the door already opened revealing Isis standing in the doorway. Her curly hair was no longer in a bun and she had on a white satin robe typed around her waist tight. Her appearance resorted back to normal, the gold was no longer in her eyes and the scar around her throat disappeared.

"I was wondering when you were going to finally come out of hiding my Love," She smirked as she stepped out and closed the door behind her, not allowing me to see inside.

"You knew I was here the entire time? Why were you talking to my Third in command than in front of me?" I questioned her.

"Your scent is like my favorite fragrance I can never get enough of, of course the moment you step into the vicinity of me I'll immediately smell you, and your third in command approached me," She said amused as she leaned her back against the wall.

"You have a lot of explaining to do right now,"I growled, inching closer and closer towards her.

"And why do you believe I owe you an explanation on anything that I do?" She questioned me.

"I watched you kill a man and devour what seemed like his soul through YOUR very eyes," I said as I stopped right in front of her, looking down at her.

She merely smirked and turned her head away from me.

"I am a half demon my love, I guess they don't teach you dogs much about us for good reasons but there is a reason why demons are prohibited and banned from the mortal world. Humans have drugs and recreational activities that distorts and impairs their senses but gives them a high and euphoric feeling, take that and magnify it by 100 and that's what happens when a demon devours a humans soul," She explained.

"So then why say being around large groups of humans is your weakness when all you'll do is just get hungry?"I asked confused.

"Human souls are the most tainted and distressed souls of them all, that is what I feed off of, the more tortured the soul the better. They cry out to me, I sense them, they overstimulate my senses causing me to lose control, it's something I'm actually not fond of doing," She said in a bored tone.

She pushed me out of the way and walked back over to her door but I grabbed her shoulder and turned her back around to face me.

"Why doesn't that happen around wolves?" I asked curiously.

"The moon goddess has a tight lock on your souls, something no demon could get through unless it was willingly handed over," She said as she pushed my hand away and turned back around.

I grabbed the back of her neck aggressively to turn her back around but she quickly pushed my hand away as I felt her hand come down hard against my face as she back handed me.

"I don't appreciate the aggression unless it's in the bedroom Kaiden, know your place and know not to put your hands on me unless I allow it," She hissed at me.

I held the side of my face in pain as it continued to sting.

"I'm not done with my questions! You possessed Issac earlier didn't you?! I saw the gold in his eyes and the fact that he had the same mannerisms as you," I growled.

She thought about it for a moment before turning to me and smirk.

"I think you're having a hard time accepting the fact that your mate is a demon hybrid, have you been playing with that human hybrid for that long that you can't possibly fathom a hybrid being strong? Such a shame maybe you should do your research," She smiled as she patted my face.

She turned back to open the door but cautiously made sure to open the door so I wouldn't see inside.

"What are you hiding?" I growled as I attempted to push the door open.

"If you push it open and you'll only be angered by what lies inside," She chuckled, her back still facing me.

I pushed the door open aggressively, causing it to slam against the door and a scream come from inside. There laid Luna Astra of the Divine Celeste pack on Isis's bed, and it seemed that she was naked as she bunched the blanket around her naked body and looked up in fear.

I looked over and noticed Alpha Michael tied up and blind folded in the corner not moving at all.

"Isis what the fuck are you doing here?!" I asked horrified.

I tried to walk past her but she blocked the doorway with her body and looked back.

"This has nothing to do with you, walk away Kaiden," Her tone was icy and cold is made a chill go down my spine, like there was no emotion in her voice whatsoever.

I attempted to grab her by the back of her neck to swing her around to face me but with swift movements and precision I felt a sharp pain in my arm as she snuck her sharp nails into my forearm and twisted around so that she was now facing me. She grabbed my jaw roughly and slammed me hard against the wall causing it to crack under me. I winced in pain as I opened my eyes to see her eyes glowing bright gold as her canines extended and she looked at me with an annoyed expression.

"You're working my last nerve with this aggression of yours Kaiden, since you think you can just put your hands all over me whenever you please then I'll teach you a lesson. I can hurt you Kaiden, real bad. What were their names again? Adrianna and little Taylor?" She smirked at me, mischievous thought swirling in her eyes.

Her grip tightened against my jaw as I grabbed onto her wrist. I attempted to lift my other hand to grab her but she beat me to it and pinned my arm against the wall.

"You won't lay a finger on them," I said against her grip.

"Why do you think they aren't dead yet? Why do you think I'm still allowing you to play house with them? I could end both of their lives in an instant but that wouldn't hurt you enough. I know your inner thoughts Kaiden, I know your most painful memories and your deepest fears. Keep putting your hands on me and when I break you physically, mentally and emotionally I make sure to do it as painfully and traumatically a possible for you my Love," She smiled wickedly as she leaned in closer to me, her eyes bright and gold in my face.

"Isn't this how your daddy used to hold you Kaiden?" She laughed as she let go of me, my body suddenly feeling weak from that statement and slinking to the floor.

How could she possibly know that? I never told anyone about my parents and what they done to me, not even my sister knew but yet she somehow knew.

"What is there to gain from you torturing me?" I choked out.

She stopped at her doorway and turned back to me, whipping her robe out of her way.

"It's not torture, it's character improvement, think of me as doing you a favor Kaiden and it's all out of love.
