She dabbed the dampened cloth at my knuckles as I just continued to stare out of the window, even before the healer brought back the tonic the pain went away. It was like once I realized what was happening, my body instantaneously got better. It was like it was planned.

"These should start healing soon right? That's what Vial said," Adrianna said as she finished wiping away the blood.

"Yeah, it'll be fine," I huffed.

"What did you mean when you said the Alpha of the Supreme Blood Deity pack isn't a good person?" She questioned.

I shook my head and looked her into her eyes.

"Let's not talk about this right now, I Just want to spend time with my Luna and my puppy right now, it feels like it's been so long," I smiled at her. She looked down at me as her face lightly began to turn red from embarrassment.

"Well we missed you too, I didn't mean to interrupt your meeting the other day, Taylor wouldn't stop crying about how you didn't call her," She explained to me.

"Well then let's go get her and spend some quality time together before I get consumed by my duties," I quickly said as I stood up and lifted Adrianna to her feet.

"Well she is over your sister's house, I should probably give her a warning," She said nervously.

"No time for that, she'll have to deal with my presence," I growled and took Adrianna's hand.

Everyone knew it was a fact that my sister Azia Cadieux (Ah-zee-uh K-ah-jew) hated me with every cell in her body but I couldn't blame her, after what I did to our parents I would hate me too. It was a matter of the wrong place and wrong time with rumors and lies being twisted into her brain. Everyone knew me as the Alpha who murdered his parents for power when that wasn't the case at all. The only reason she was still in my life was because of Adrianna and Taylor, she pitied the fact that they were now apart of my family.

We walked through the pack hand in hand until we reached Azia and her mate's home. I knocked on the door and was immediately greeted by my little sister glaring at me.

"I thought I fucking told you to never show your face to me ever again?" She questioned as she stood in the doorway with her hands on her hips.

"I'm not in the mood for your bullshit, where is my puppy?" I asked with a bored expression on my face.

(A/N: Puppy is Kaiden's nickname for his daughter Taylor because she is his wolf cub.)

She rolled her eyes and moved out of the way so that we could enter her home and there sat Taylor quietly at the table as she doodled on a piece of paper.

"Greetings Alpha," My sister's mate Roman walked down the steps and bowed to me. He was a warrior originally from the Golden Light pack, he recognized that his pack wasn't as safe or suitable for my sister so he decided to live here in our pack with her. He was a tall guy with sandy brown hair and kind light brown eyes with a personality to match his eyes. There was always a switch he seemed to flip whenever he was actively on duty because whenever he was on patrol, there's never a kind light in his eyes.

"You don't need to bow to this joke of an Alpha, he wouldn't dare kill anyone else meaningful in my life," She hissed in my direction, the hate burning in her eyes as she looked at me. I couldn't say anything else but sigh.

I knew there wasn't going to be any type of resolution between my sister and I, our past was complicated and different, she never understood the relationship between my parents and I and I never understood theirs. My sister was the golden child and she was loved and spoiled, I was the Alpha to be, I was molded and beaten into the Alpha my parents wanted me to be. She spent her days being hugged and kissed, I spent my days going through torturous training and constantly beaten by my father until I learned what true pain was. This was what every Alpha in this pack went through to become the true leader, you had to learn what true pain was so you could know how to inflict it on others.

"Hello Roman, nothing new around the borders correct?" I questioned him.

"Everything has been normal, a couple straggler rogues roaming around but not bothering us. How was your trip?" He asked.

I walked over to Taylor and looked down and noticed her drawing which looked like our family in front of our home with a rainbow above us. I smiled and looked back up.

"Interesting to say the least," I said.

"Hi Daddy!" Taylor beamed up at me as she hopped out of her seat and attacked my legs.

"Hello puppy, did you have fun with your aunt and uncle?" I asked da s I picked her up in my arms.

"Yes but are you okay daddy? Were you sick?" She asked me as she looked into my eyes with her hazel eyes.

"Yes, Vial made sure I was all better, now we can spend some time together." I smiled at her and pinched her nose.

She scrunched up her face as she smiled and I walked over to Adrianna who was smiling at us with such admiration her in eyes.

"What?" I asked.

"Just seeing you two together warms my heart, even though we have our moments I still feel like the moon goddess has blessed me with such a beautiful family," I noticed her eyes begin to water.

I heard my wolf huff in the back of my mind and I felt a tug on my heart strings. What was I doing to this woman? I was using her and shielding her from the truth, the truth that she was definitely not my mate and that my actual mate might try and have her killed all because I used her as a cover up because my parents told me to. I should have admitted to her the moment they died.

But I didn't.

And I still had no intentions in doing so.

"No need to get emotional right now, where should we go today?" I questioned.

"I wanna go swing on the swings!" Taylor screamed out.

I chuckled and bounced her in my arms. "I can take you to the play ground,"

She looked up at me and smiled hard as I motioned for Adrianna to grab my hand as I led her out of my sister's home. We made our way towards the play ground near the elementary school on the west side of the territory. We arrived to the play ground hand in hand and I put down Taylor to watch her sprint across the playground and hopped on the swings.

"Kaiden I've been thinking a lot lately..." Adrianna started as we walked over to the eager puppy and I gently pushed her on the swings.

"I would hope you were able to think for yourself," I stated unaware.

"Stop Kaiden that's not funny, I've been thinking about my role as a Luna and I think I want to be more involved with the responsibilities and everything that goes on in the pack," She explained.

"What brought this on?" I questioned as I continued to push Taylor higher.

"For the past few years I've just been like the mother of the pack, taking care of the children and making sure everyone was well and I know the Luna is the heart of the Alpha but I want to be able to do more, I want to be there for you when things overwhelming for you and I want to be able to know what is happening in this pack," She said as she cautiously watched Taylor go higher and higher.

"I'm not sure about that, I know that you were raised by humans pretty much and you don't know much about the pack life so I'm not expecting you to know what's going on in this pack," She raised her hand to silence me.

"I don't want to be the weak half bred Luna who doesn't even know what's happening in her own territory so don't even try to use my human side against me," She shook her head.

I thought about it for a moment. Adrianna wouldn't really be able to keep up with everything in the pack like I could but I guess it wouldn't hurt to let her in, by the end of the week she'll probably become disinterested.

"I guess that's not a problem but if you do feel like it's overwhelming you can stop any time and it won't be a problem," I reassured her.

Obviously the moment I agreed to this, luck was not on my side. It was like the world was not in my favor and it just wanted to see me fail.

'Alpha there is a pack emergency and we need to hold a meeting this instant in the pack house,'

I heard Nicholas's voice in my mind as he called for me through the pack mind link. We only really used the mind link for emergencies so it must have been important.

"As your first active duty of being a well informed Luna, there just so happens to be an emergency at the pack house that we have to attend," I said as I stopped Taylor's swing so she could hop off. She jumped off of the swings and ran around to cling to my legs as we began walking towards the pack house.

"What kind of emergency is it?" Adrianna questioned.

"I'm not sure but Nicholas sounded very concerned," I said.

We continued to walk in silence, while Taylor still held onto my leg until we finally got to the pack house. We walked through the front door and noticed Marco and Nicholas sitting anxiously on the couch, waiting for us.

"Luna, Alpha," Both Marco and Nicholas bowed.

"I'm not sure if you want the Luna involved in this," Marco said hesitantly.

"She's decided to involve herself more in the pack so she stays," I explained.

"We've received a call from the Alpha of the Supreme Blood Deity pack," Nicholas said slowly.

"Alpha...?" I asked.

I already knew the answer to this question but I just wanted to know to be sure.

"He said his name was Alpha Issac, that is the Alpha there right?" Nicholas questioned.

"Yes yes now what was this call about?" I asked impatiently.

"He's arranged a meeting here with Alpha Michael of the Divine Celeste pack accompanying him and they wish to talk business with us," Marco said cautiously.

"WHAT BUSINESS DO THEY HAVE WITH US?!" I bellowed out.

I was on the verge of sending warriors about to Alpha Michael's pack because war seemed like something he was trying to provoke but now he wanted a meeting with me? What was Isis planning and where was this going? Was she going to be visiting as well? Did Alpha Michael already know about her? Questions flew through my head and the only way I would have these answered were if I agreed for them to to meet with me.

"I still have Alpha Issac on the phone," Nicholas said as he held the phone up for me to see.

I pulled away from Adrianna and immediately snatched the phone out of his hand. Adrianna grabbed Taylor from my leg as I held the phone up to my ear.

"Alpha Issac?" I questioned into the phone.

"She wants to speak with you," Was all I hear him say before I heard the phone go silent and then her hypnotic voice fill my ears.

"Hello, Kaiden," Her voice made my heart race, the calmness sent chills down my spine and made me want to melt to my knees.

"What is your business with Alpha Michael, that man is on my doorstep begging for war through his actions and I'm tempted to fulfill it," I said as I looked over at Adrianna who was walking over to me with a curious expression on her face.

"This meeting has nothing to do with us, a war between you isn't what I need right now, what I need for you and Alpha Michael to do is cooperate, can you be a good doggy for me and do that?" She asked me.

I could practically feel her long sharp nails gently dragging along my jawline and closed my eyes and shuddered in delight.

"What do you need him for exactly?" I questioned.

"What are you talking about? Can't you put the phone on speaker so I can listen too?" Adrianna asked right next to me.

I heard a sigh of annoyance through the phone and I knew Isis heard her.

"She sounds like such a sweet and innocent girl, I can't wait to break her," I could practically hear her sinister smile from the other side of the phone.

"You will do no such thing, stay on topic and when did you want to have this meeting?" I growled into the phone.

Adrianna looked at me startled and backed away slightly.

"Two days from now, I already contacted Alpha Michael and he is fully prepared for it, I can't wait to see you until then," She hung up the phone leaving me stunned.

Was she really coming here to the pack? Would I have to hide Adrianna and Taylor from her? She said this meeting had nothing to do with us right now but would she still try something against my family? Damn it two days wasn't enough time for me to prepare for her, I thought she was keeping herself secret from the world, so why come to my pack now?

"Kaiden are you okay? What was that about?" Adrianna asked with the now sleeping Taylor in her arms.

"The Alpha of the Supreme Blood Deity pack wants to have a meeting with the Alpha of Divine Celeste pack and I, here two days from now to discuss some business, though they didn't fully explain what business they had with us," I explained.

"Okay we should probably prepare for their arrival," She said cheerfully.

I handed Nicholas back the phone and nodded to him.

"We'll go ahead with this plan and see what happens but we will make sure to have warriors on standby just in case,"

Nicholas nodded and bowed his head. I motioned for Adrianna to come with me and we both walked out of the pack house and headed towards our home.

"Adrianna you don't have to participate in this meeting, it's not that big of a deal," I said to her.

"NO I'm going to be by your side like a Luna should be, besides it did sound pretty serious by how flustered you were on the phone, I'm going to always be by your side from now on," She grabbed my hand and squeezed it a little.

Always be by my side huh? Well I wasn't going to always be by yours because you aren't mine and I'm not yours. How much longer was I going to keep playing this girl and making her believe that she was my one and only?

They were complete opposites, but I didn't want to let either of them go. Isis had no intentions of letting me go, I was all part of her plan she would say. Most of all she had no intentions of losing me to a half breed human like Adrianna. So what was I to do?

"The Alpha of the Supreme Blood Deity pack can be very intense so I'm warning you now, I'm not sure what the possible outcome of this meeting will be and to be honest I'm a bit scared so just prepare yourself," I sighed.

She looked up at me with surprise and shock written all over her face and I wasn't surprised at all, this was the first time in 5 years that Adrianna has ever heard me admit that I was scared of something. With Alpha Isis, things were uncertain.

'I want you to know that I will always be ahead of you, what you may think I'm doing I'm actually not, I'm actually thinking in a completely different way'

Those words of hers kept replaying in my mind, I never knew what she was thinking or what her next move was going to be. My father always taught me to fear no man no matter what, so what about a woman? She was different from other Alphas, different motives and a different mindset. What I needed to do in order to get on her level was learn more about her, starting with her pack and definitely her other half. Why was she keeping it a secret?

"Well still I think I'm ready to do more duties right by your side," Adrianna finally said.

I nodded my head and we walked through our front door and we walked up the stairs, Adrianna going to put Taylor to sleep and I to my room. I collapsed onto the bed and let out a sigh of frustration. Shit was going to get complicated quicker than I anticipated.

"Did you already unpack your things?" Adrianna asked as I heard her walk into the room.

"No I just threw my suitcase into the closet, don't worry about it I just have to wash the stuff when I find the time," I said.

Her smell still surrounded all of my belongings in the suitcase and I didn't want anyone to possibly smell it.

I felt her her sit next to me and on the and her delicate hand land on my thigh, causing me to jump in surprise.

"Sorry, didn't mean to surprise you but you just seemed a little more on edge so I thought maybe I could help with it?" I looked up and noticed her shyly looking at me.

To say that I was no longer sexually attracted to this woman anymore was an understatement. After spending days with my mate, I couldn't see myself with any woman other than Alpha Isis, but could I get back at her, I could cause her pain like she did me earlier. I know she did it out of spite because of having found out that I had someone already marked by me. This could be pay back, but could I actually go through with it?

I sat up and gently placed my hand behind Adrianna's hair, onto the back of her neck bringing her closer to me. I used my other hand to guide her so that now she was on top of my lap, facing me. She clutched my shoulders for support, each of her thighs to my side as she looked me intensely into my hazel eyes. I leaned forward, capturing her lips into a kiss and her immediately responding.

'Did you already forget that I will be meeting your little pet in two days?'

Her voice popped into my mind but this time I knew it was her actual voice and not me remembering her words. This damn connection that we created.

Adrianna slipped her hands under my shirt causing me to jolt again in surprise.

'Just get out of my head, weren't you just fucking someone earlier to get back at me?'

'I am not the one who already has someone marked and claimed as their Luna now do I?'

'That doesn't give you the right to go off and fuck someone else'

'So I shouldn't be mad that your mark is on another woman's body? I take back what I said...I can't wait to break YOU'

I felt the mind link between us snap and disappear which I wasn't surprised, our connection was small and limited since we did mate. But now I wasn't in the mood, I no longer had any intentions of having sex with Adrianna anymore. I broke away from the kiss and grabbed her hands from under my shirt as I let out a big sigh.

"Did I do something wrong?" Adrianna asked quietly.

I laid back and stared up at the ceiling.

"I'm not in the mood to have sex so just get off of me," I grumbled as I placed my arm over my eyes.

"Okay, I thought you would be after your trip," She said quietly as she climbed off of my lap. She fell silent for a moment before climbing off of the bed and walking towards the bathroom.

"I'm going to take a shower so you are welcome to join me," I heard her say before I heard the bathroom door gently shut.

Fuck.

I needed to do research on her before she arrives so I can at least know what I'm dealing with.

'Marco, meet me in the pack library, we need to start some research,' I reached out to Marco through the pack mind link.

"Yes Alpha,"

I grabbed my car keys off of the bed side table and headed out of the house as soon as I heard the shower turn on. I hopped into my personal car and made my way to the pack library since it was a little ways away from my house and it was getting dark outside. I pulled up to the library and noticed Marco waiting outside for me with a tired expression on his face.

"Were you taking a nap?" I asked as I got out of the car and walked towards him.

"Yeah but it's fine, I didn't want to sleep long anyway, what are we researching?" Marco asked as we walked into the library which happened to be practically empty.

Good.

"Alpha Isis, I need to learn more on her pack and who she is, more so WHAT she is," I looked around the library, curious where to start first. It was a huge library with 3 floors to it, books ranging from breeding, common knowledge, other species, children stories and many others.

"Now where the hell should we start?" I mumbled to myself.

"Well she is a half breed right? We should go through a list of all other species that werewolves could breed with," Marco suggested.

"What are species are there?" I questioned as we walked to the section of breeding.

"Humans are the most known to mix, vampires are kind of rare, faeries but they don't like mixing with our kind, those are the only three I can think of, think she's any of those?" He listed the known species.

"Actually we should check in the species section first before coming here, she definitely ins't half human, I've actually encountered a vampire half breed and she definitely isn't one of them and it's rare to hear of a faerie mixing with a werewolf, they have their own rules about breeding with other species," We walked to the species section and looked around.

"What about merfolk?" Marco grabbed a book off of the shelf and began flipping through it.

"No, merfolk don't ever leave the water, only the royalty is allowed to leave out of the water, plus  they don't reside in the waters in this part of the world, not good for their skin," I pulled a book on faeries off the shelf and began flipping through it.

"Well her wolf was huge and pretty scary, almost like it was breathing fire, maybe she's like half dragon," Marco shrugged.

I huffed and looked over at Marco with an annoyed expression.

"Dragons went extinct years ago, plus they aren't shapeshifters so that wouldn't be possible," I rolled my eyes.

We began pulling different books on species from off of the shelves and began carrying them over to a nearby table. I flipped through every book, trying to take in as much as I could in as little time as possible but nothing was matching the description of Isis. What the hell was her other half?

"I'm going to grab a couple books on breeding, those could possible tell us something," Marco said as he got up to fetch more books. Minutes began to tick away as I immersed myself in more and more books, determined to find the answers I needed, but what were to happen if I found what I was looking for?

"It's a possibility that she is half faerie just because it's rare and dangerous for faeries to breed outside of their species," Marco said before letting out a big yawn.

"She said her mother seduced her father and she was the outcome so that definitely means they aren't mates and she said that he was a powerful Alpha who was driven crazy," I explained.

"Well how old is she? We can probably pinpoint who her father was by figuring out who the most powerful Alpha was around the year she was born," Marco replied.

Shit, I didn't know how old she was I just assumed we were the same age.

"I don't know how old she is," I rubbed the back of my neck embarrassed.

"Well Alpha I wish I could help you more but I'm extremely tired and my mate is calling for me," Marco stood up and bowed.

"Fine, you are dismissed," I huffed and waved him away. I sat alone in the library flipping through pages after pages, trying to find a clue or something that could link me to her. I made sure to leave my phone at home so I had no distractions and I continued reading until I noticed the sun rising through the windows.

"Fuck, there aren't that many species in this world, what am I missing? Maybe she's some new breed of vampire and wolf mixture," I said angrily as I tugged on my hair.

I thought about her wolf, it was like nothing I've ever seen before, like something straight from the underworld itself.

...

Straight from the underworld itself.

Underworld.

"VIAL!!!!"

I called for the healer through my mind link.

What if her mother wasn't a being of this world? What if I've been looking in the wrong places.

'My Alpha, where are you?'

'The Library,'

Much wasn't known about the Underworld and only few spoke about it, only a few healers knew about the underworld and the dangers of it.

"Yes my Alpha?" I looked up to see Vial standing over me.

"Vial, what do you know of the underworld?" I questioned her, beckoning her to sit down next to me.

She hesitated for a moment but sat down anyway.

"As a healer I would like to say I know a considerable amount, some things that I do are considered dark magic only known from the underworld but I try not to use much dark magic because anything from that realm is considered extremely dangerous," She replied.

"What type of creatures are there?" I asked, nearly whispering.

"Well-"

'ALPHA!!!'

'ALPHA'

'ALPHA!'

'ALPHA THE ALPHA OF THE SUPREME BLOOD DEITY IS AT OUR NORTHERN BORDERS WITH A BLEEDING WOMAN IN HIS HANDS!'

The yells of my border patrol rang through my ears painfully as I covered my ears in anguish. I rose up out of my seat, heart pounding painfully in my chest.

"Vial meet me in the pack house, I'll need your healing assistance," I quickly said before taking off out of the library, heading straight to the northern border.

A woman in the Alphas hands? No one knew that Isis was the true Alpha so it must be Issac at the border but who was the bleeding woman? It couldn't be Isis, she was too strong to be attacked by anyone, but why were they here so early? We were expecting them tomorrow and not today.

I just wanted to confirm that Isis was not the one in this hands injured.

I was so used to walking everywhere at normal speed because of Adrianna, she wasn't as fast as the normal wolf so I had to slow down just for her, so she would be able to keep up, but in this moment, this had to be the fastest my wolf has ever taken, because I couldn't shake this fear that it was possibly Isis in his arms. I reached the Northern border and noticed my patrol crowded around Issac who was standing there with a woman in his arms, her face was covered by his white shirt that was draped over her and the only thing I could see was her arm dropped down with a her scarlet blood covering her arm and a giant slit down her inner forearm, staining her beautiful brown skin. I knew it was her, even though her smell was tainted by the smell of her blood I could still tell that it was her. My blood ran cold and I began sweating profusely.

What was this? Was this part of her plan? Was this something that I wasn't supposed to expect from her?

I approached Issac with shaky hands as I looked at him with anger in my eyes and my heart.

"Alpha, he won't let us near the woman and he won't state who she is," A patrol wolf approached me.

"It's fine, we allow them onto the pack so we can help her," I outstretched my arms so that he could place her in my arms but he merely shook his head.

"She's fine in my arms," He snapped.

I growled loudly, my wolf threatening to shift, he hated seeing her unconscious and bleeding out like this he needed her in our arms.

He looked at me with slight fear in his eyes and reluctantly handed her over.

She felt so soft and cold in my arms, her blood staining my shirt but I didn't mind at all. We began walking to the pack house carefully with Issac by my side and my patrol behind me.

"Was she attacked?" I asked Issac after 10 minutes of walking in silence.

"You know just as well as I do that she would never allow something or someone to hurt her like this, she's a dangerous woman who lives to hurt others...she's too strong to be attacked," He said, not even looking my way.

So how did she come about this?

"Did she do this to herself?" I asked.

"Yes," He answered after a couple minutes.

This woman was indeed a psychopath, I never understood the things she did and this was definitely one of those things.

We finally reached the pack house and I noticed Marco waiting there anxiously, pacing back and forth until he looked up and saw me.

"Alpha I arranged for the best room for her so that she could rest there, Vial is already up there waiting for her, is she alright are you alright?" He asked frantically.

I knew he wasn't really concerned with her, he was concerned with me because she was my mate and if she were to die then I would surely die.

I dismissed my patrol as Marco lead Issac and I to the room for her. He opened the door and there stood Vial waiting patiently for us. I felt Issac grab my shoulder aggressively and I turned and noticed him shaking his head.

"Make her leave now," He growled.

"Why? She's here to help heal her," I snapped at him.

"She will heal on her own she just needs to sleep, now make her leave now unless you want her to wake up and murder your only healer," Issac said frantically.

I studied his eyes and then turned to Vial.

"I'm sorry Vial but you aren't needed right now, if something turns up then I will be calling for you," I nodded to her.

"Yes Alpha," She said as she walked out the door, walking past me. I noticed her slightly looked at Isis's body and slightly shivered. I'll have to ask her about that later.

I placed her gently on the bed and heard Issac lock the door behind us. I took the shirt off of her face and noticed she was out cold. Both of her arms were covered in blood with giant slits down them.

"I need bandages to stop the bleeding, once it stops she'll be able to heal herself," Issac said.

I pointed to the bedside table where Vial left her medical things. I watched as he cleaned off her arms and carefully wrapped them to stop the bleeding. Her entire outfit was covered in blood. She had on a long black cotton spaghetti strap dress, darkly stained with her own blood.

"You're acting like this isn't her first time doing this," I said as he finished.

"Because it isn't her first time doing this, your pack just happened to be the closest so I had no choice," He said as continued staring at her sleeping figure.

"Why would she do this to herself?" I asked.

"It's for her to explain when she wakes up but it's part of a sacred ritual she does, the last time she did it, she was unconscious for seven days but the Golden Light pack territory is much smaller than ours so she'll only be sleep for a few hours.

"You were at the Golden Light pack, why?" I questioned.

"Claiming our territory, since she ordered for their massacre it's rightfully so that she claims that land as hers," He said.

I stared at her for a moment.

I looked down at her feet and noticed faded scars around her ankles, almost like there used to be restraints tight around her ankles and they healed horribly. I never noticed that before, how come? I looked at every inch of her body for scars or blemishes and found none. I walked over to her and slightly lifted up her dress revealing all types of healed scars and wounds along her legs, almost like she was tortured long ago but that wasn't possible, I was with her a few days ago and she had no such scars on her body.

"What is this? What happened to her?" I asked impatiently as I walked over to Issac, gripping his shirt.

"It is not in my place to tell even if I knew," He said blankly.

"These weren't there a few days ago, now what was she doing?!" I growled in his face.

"Those only appear when she is unconscious in states like this," He continued to stare at me blankly.

I pushed him away and walked back over to Isis's bed side.

"Marco take him to a room far away from Isis's room, looks like they'll be staying a while," I huffed and waved them away. I heard the door close behind me and I sighed. I examined her body more and noticed all types of old scars and wounds that were never there before, they were littered all over her body.

Why was that?

I stayed in her room for what felt like hours just watching her, watching her chest move up and down with her breathing, looking for any signs of her waking up. I asked for no disturbance, all I wanted was to make sure that she was alright. My mind wandered to Adrianna, I know she's worried about me since she hasn't seen me since last night and I left without telling her. I even left my phone at home so I wouldn't be bothered.

I looked back down at Isis and noticed that the scars littered all over her body were now slowly disappearing, almost fading away as if they were never there to begin with.

"You're covered in her smell, it disgusts me," I looked up to see Isis stirring from her slumber. I tired to assist her in sitting up but she slapped my hand away and sat up herself.

She looked around the room and shook her head.

"A slight miscalculation but I expected this much from him," She mumbled to herself.

"What the hell was that all about? Why do I find Issac carrying your unconscious body covered in your own blood and scars?!" I asked.

I watched as she unwrapped the bloody bandages from her arms to reveal her fully healed arms, as if nothing ever happened. I examined her body and noticed her skin was back to being damn near perfect, not an imperfection in sight. She stood up and stretched, her curls falling out of her messy bun and her facial expression unfazed.

"Are you going to answer me?!" I asked frustrated.

"No, it's a shame you had to see me in that state, so weak and fragile," She said as she looked around the room.

I grabbed onto her arm and pulled her towards me so that she slammed into my chest, she looked up at me with an emotionless look in her eyes, there was something off about her eyes but I couldn't figure out what.

"I have every right to know what's going on with you, how did you make those scars disappear?" I asked her sternly.

"Please, there are things in this world that you just simply wouldn't understand and I have no patience to explain them to you right now," She snatched her arm out of my grip and turned to head out of the door.

I couldn't let her walk away, I couldn't let her leave me in the dark, this was because of her other half wasn't it, it was because of what she was, I didn't know exactly what she was but I had to go out on a whim and say it.

"This has something to do with your mother being from the Underworld doesn't it?" I asked.

I could be wrong, I could be completely wrong.

After this moment I really wished I was wrong, I wasn't prepared for what I was about to learn about her.

She stopped in her tracks and turned around to face me, her eyes lit up and her signature smirk was plastered on her face as usual She lifted her hands up and began clapping as she walked back over to me.

"Maybe you aren't as simple as I thought you were, I was expecting you to figure it out much much later but here we are, right on schedule my Love," She smirked at me.

"S-so I'm right?" I asked nervously.

"There's a certain dark magic cast that I put around all of my territories that only works with the blood of a demon," She smiled at me as she caressed my cheek.

My blood ran cold and my mind went blank for a moment.

Blood of a demon?

"What? Blood of what? Your blood is what?" I asked in disbelief.
