"Have you learned your lesson yet?" She asked the wolf as she gently rested her hand on the side of his face to calm his shaking. Blood dripped from his nail less fingers, all 10 of them due to the fact that she violently ripped them off of his fingers.

Yes shook his head as tears ran down his face while he looked up at her with pain in his eyes.

"Shhhh, enough of that now, I won't hurt you anymore but I want you to know this never would have happened if you hadn't plotted against me. I welcome you and your other pack members graciously onto my territory where you would be protected and able to live your lives in peace and what do you do? Pray for my death," She wiped his tears away and looked him deep in his eyes.

He looked up into her eyes and you could see clear guilt in them as she looked down at him with a saddened expression.

What was happening right now?

"We all make mistakes but right now it is your time to fix those mistakes and all will be forgiven, you may enter the pack as an official member on the day of the blood ceremony and you shall be able to live your life worry free, your life in my hands, fully taken care of," She smiled as she explained in a nurturing voice.

She placed her hand on the side of his face and caressed it as he leaned into her touch.

"All you have to do is is answer this very important question for me...are there others who defy me as their Alpha?" She grabbed his jaw and tilted it upwards so that she was giving him direct eye contact.

"Are there others who dare question my leadership?" She asked in a deathly serious tone.

He slightly flinched and then quickly nodded his head once he gathered his composure.

"You will be one of the first welcomed during the blood ceremony, I will be sure you are treated rather well but I will also make sure you won't forget the sins you have committed," She caressed his face before standing up and turning to me.

"We are done with him, we move on to the next one but this one will be more fun," She said as she grabbed the cart and wheeled it out of the cell, unlocking the cell next to it, revealing another man sitting in the middle of the cell, blind folded with his hands tied behind his back and his feet tied together.

"He sit in one of my guards face after they did a number on him and I can feel in his spirit how much he resents me...he is a lost hope so now I'll make him wish for death," She said as she picked up the pliers and handed them to me.

"Why are you handing these to me? This is your pack and I have nothing to do with this," I looked at the pliers in disgust.

This time was different, all those times I've punished people and tortured those in my own pack were for my packs well being and mine as well, this pack has nothing to do with me. This was different and inhuman.

But you've been doing it for years, doesn't that make you inhuman?

I looked over at her with a confused expression.

"But this has everything to do with me and I am yours aren't I? Don't you want to teach a lesson to those who attempt to overthrow and cause harm to me? How can I know you'll be able to protect me in the future?" She questioned me in a soothing, hypnotic voice.

That was a big mystery between us but if we were to come out and announce that we were mates then we would make many enemies and I would need to be able to protect her with my life.

I grabbed the pliers from her and walked up to the tied down man and removed the blind fold from his eyes. I looked him deep in his eyes as he looked up at me with a blank expression in his eyes. I grabbed his jaw and forced it open revealing all of his teeth.

"Interesting but excruciating choice my love," I heard her say behind me.

I gripped one of his front teeth with the pliers and watched as fear began to cloud his vision as he started to wiggle under the grip of the pliers. I began pulling as hard as I could and soon enough his screams began to echo all throughout the cell, tears streamed down his face when the tooth popped out of his mouth, covered in his crimson blood.

"Oh my, you have such beautiful teeth!" Isis said as she walked over and took the tooth out of my grasp.

"Long, white and shiny, almost like forbidden diamonds...I want every last tooth, down to the molars my love," She said with a smirk on her face as she continued twirling the tooth in her palm.

"The molars are pretty difficult to get out," I explained.

"But not impossible,"  She voiced.

I nodded my head and continued on as he screams turned agonizing and he continued to squirm under the restraints until I was able to pull out every last tooth out of his mouth.

"Marvelous," She seemed pleased as I handed her all of the teeth.

She placed them onto the cart and took the pliers from me, standing on her tip toes to place a light kiss on my cheek.

"What a fine mate you are, I would advise you turn around for this next part my love, it isn't a pretty sight," She smiled against my cheek.

I looked at her bewildered and continued to watch her as she picked the heart up that she has been carrying around and also picked up a dull blade and walked over to the man.

"Attacking me in front of my pack members is inexcusable and something I cannot forgive, by the time I'm done with you, you'll be begging for death and I won't give it to you until the blood ceremony where everyone will watch your soul become one with the moon goddess and they will learn what happens when you try to defy me," She said as she sat down on his lap and smashed the heart right into his face.

"Your friend got the easy way out but I won't be so easy with you," She snickered and continued rubbing it in his face until it was a mush pile.

"You probably think my methods are unethical and cynical but it's what keeps this pack the way it is," She looked over her shoulder while grabbing his jaw and forcing his mouth open.

"Yes, that's an understatement," I chuckled.

"My pack runs off very much differently than most packs which is why we are the most feared and the most dangerous but my pack members live a life of serenity and peacefulness shall they choose too, I can give you a tour and explain more if you like" She said while grabbing his tongue and with one clean swipe, cutting it out of his mouth.

His ear splitting screams seemed to shake the walls as she hopped off his lap and tossed the tongue onto the ground.

"I can sense your judging eyes and it's making me uninterested in this, I'll have my warriors finish this up for me, let's take a walk," She grabbed the teeth off of the cart and pocketed them as we exited the cell and walked back up the stairs.

"Gentlemen, do treat our first guest with the upmost respect, someone bathe him, give him clothes and clean him up nicely, he's learned his lesson and shall be welcomed into our pack with open arms during the ceremony, the other one do whatever you seem fit to him but do not kill him...leave that to me," She smirked at them all as they bowed down to her.

"Yes Alpha," They all said in sync.

We walked out of the building and walked through the woods until we could see the other pack buildings in view.

"Everyone in this pack has a duty they must fulfill, whether that is warrior, border patrol, farmer, medic, trainer, etc, and as long as they are fulfilling their duties then they may live their lives in peace," She explained as we walked around the centre square looking around at all the buildings.

"Why have medics when you can just have a healer?" I asked.

"The medics are for the pack members, I do not need a healer, healers are for the Alphas and the other higher rankings but I do not need a healer and if anyone under me shall be injured than do they truly belong in this pack?" She questioned.

The few people that we did walk past made sure to bow and show their respects before scurrying away.

"How are you able to keep your identity a secret from outsiders but your pack members are aware of who you truly are?" I asked.

"Blood ceremony," Was all she said.

"But wha-" She softly placed her finger against my lips to quiet me.

"Darling I'm quite tired and I would love a shower, how about we go back to your room to get cleaned up and I'll invite you and your pack members to dinner tonight and I'll happily answer any questions you have for your last night here?" She tilted her head and looked up at me with mysterious look in her eyes.

"My room?" I questioned.

"It's just closer than my home," She stood in front of me and snaked her hands under my shirt, caressing my stomach.

I knew what she had in mind and I wasn't mad at it, I wanted to spend as much time as possible with her before I had to go back to my own pack and figure out what we do from there.

"Sounds fine with me," I nodded my head.

"Perfect," She said as she grabbed a hold of my hand and began leading me back to the pack house.

"Alpha!" We turned around and noticed Marco and the two other warriors Lane and Evan walking up to us and bowing.

"What are you doing out?" I asked.

"We were just exploring the pack," Marco turned to Isis with slight fear in his eyes and bowed.

It seemed everyone she came in contact could feel the power and intimidation radiating off of her.

"Alpha your pack is very beautiful and organized, I've never seen such beautiful and carefully planned out pack layout like yours," Marco complimented.

"And you never will," She smiled genuinely.

"The Alpha here has invited us all out to dinner for our last night so we will be attending with her tonight to discuss some things and celebrate our last night here," I interjected.

"I'll make reservations for 7:30pm, make sure to dress your best because we will be dining at one of the finest restaurants I've invested in, tardiness is inexcusable," She winked before letting go of me and walking towards the pack house on her own.

"Are we going to go Alpha?" Marco asked?

"Yes, we can't turn this down, I need to learn more about her before I leave, she is my mate after all,"

Marco nodded his head and they all bowed before walking into the pack house. I walked into the pack house and headed to my room. I unlocked the door and heard the shower water running from the bathroom. Taking a shower without me.

Today was definitely something. I don't really know what to make of it, the things she did were psychotic but the way she explained herself, it all made sense to me. There still was the question of what happens after my visit, what about Adrianna and Taylor? Our packs? Our leadership?

"That's just how it's always been," I shrugged my shoulders and stood behind her and grabbed at her waist again.

"This image I see before me is perfect, this is how it will be and how it will always be for us," I looked up at our reflection to see her smirking at herself and me standing behind her with my arms wrapped around her. I didn't know what she meant by it but I assumed she meant us being together.

I shrugged my shoulders and walked into the bathroom to run the shower and prepare for the dinner meeting tonight, this wasn't just a normal dinner after all, there were so many things I needed to ask her about that've slipped my mind the moment I realized she was my mate.

I shivered just hearing just hearing her voice in my head, but why was I still hearing her voice in my head? Why did she have such an effect on me. I finally decided to walk downstairs where I was greeted by Beta Marco, Lane and Evan who were standing there finely dressed.

"Alpha, do you really think she'll answer all of our questions?" Marco asked as we all stepped outside.

"I don't know," I simply stated.

"Gentlemen," We looked up to see Issac standing in front of us with you black cars waiting for us.

Marco and I got into one car and Lane and Evan got into another car with Issac and we were off to see what was in store for us tonight.

"Where were you earlier when you were with the Alpha Female?" Marco asked after a long moment of silence.

"She took me to her torture chamber where she was holding those men earlier where she started to torture them and made me help her, it was a bit unethical, forcing me to pull that man's teeth out," I said a bit disgusted.

I looked over at Marco who was looking at me with a confused expression.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing I'm a little confused," Marco said.

"Why?"

"Isn't that what we are known for? Our unethical methods and the way we torture our captives? That's one of the reasons why we are known so it's just a bit weird hearing the word unethical come out of your mouth," He shrugged his shoulders to look out of the window.

I thought about that for a moment, my grandfather, my father and I have all made sure to keep the stigma of our pack true so that we would be one of the most known and feared packs but yet here I am disgusted by someone pretty much doing the same thing as me. I guess that would make me a hypocrite.

"Alpha, we are here," Marco nudged me before opening the door and getting out.

We all climbed out of the car and stood in front of the the building, it was indeed a fine dining restaurant.

"Gentlemen, this way," Issac directed as he walked inside and we followed along. He nodded at the hostess and she nodded back as we continued to walk past the rows of table filled with people until we got to a room separated by a curtain, we walked through the curtain to see Alpha Isis sitting there with her heels up on the table and her head thrown back with her eyes closed, showing off her jawline. She had on a black pants suit on with a pink buttoned down shirt underneath with a few buttons undone, showing off her cleavage. Her curly black hair was up in a high bun as usual and it looked like she decided to put on makeup.

"Alpha she's fucking gorgeous," Marco whispered into my ear from behind me.

I growled lowly and looked back at him.

"Watch it Marco,"

At that moment her head shot up and she smiled as her black eyes locked with mine.She took her feet off of the table as Issac came to push her chair in for her from behind her. For some reason whenever he was around her it annoyed me, he obviously had a thing for my mate and I didn't like it one bit.

"Gentlemen, on the dot I just love to see it, shall we get this party started?" She asked with a smirk.

Nicholas should be calling me any minute to give me an update on the pack, but this doesn't really seem like an appropriate time to take the call.

"Lane, take my phone and if it rings answer it for me, I want you and Evan to wait out at the table to the other guards from this pack," I handed him my phone and he nodded his head as him and Evan turned to walk out of the room.

Marco and I sat down at the table, opposite of Isis and Issac and the waiter to pour everyone water.

I looked over and noticed both Issac and Marco trembling with their heads bowed down at the table, foreheads against the table.

"Marco what's wrong with you? Pull your shit together," I said as I nudged him.

"I'm sorry A-Alpha I can't, the aura she's giving off right now is intense and I can't help but bow down to her," Marco stuttered.

I looked up and noticed Isis staring at me with a malicious smirk on her face.

"My apologizes, I just wanted to see if you were affected by the normal aura love and it seems like it has no affect on you," She grabbed her water glass and took a sip as both Issac and Marco sat up and sighed with relief.

"Your normal aura?" I questioned.

"Yes, I normally don't have my Alpha aura, hmmm let's say 'turned on', I have the ability to control how much I give off and I just wanted to try a little test with you," She shrugged her shoulders.

"How much can you normally give off?" I asked.

"The amount...is unbearable to some," She smiled and licked her lips.

Silence surrounded us before the waiter came back over and poured everyone a glass of wine and set the bottle down on the table.

"Well gentlemen, I'm sure you have many questions for me about myself and my pack so ask away, however that doesn't guarantee that I will answer them all," Her eyes flashed my way as she took a sip of her wine.

I thought about it for a moment and that's when something popped into my head.

"Why did you send some of your pack members on a suicide mission to my pack and attack me, if you weren't my mate then I would take that as a sign of war," I asked.

"A test," Was all she said.

"Explain!" I shouted annoyed.

"Before this whole mate business, your pack always peaked my interest, the power you hold within is astounding and you don't even realize it. Once I found out that you were my mate that just peaked my interest more so I wanted to see how you would react to an attack," She explained.

"But I killed all of them, how were you able to see anything?"

She sighed and continued sipping her wine.

"The blood ceremony allows me to connect with my pack members and peer into the eyes of any member I want, I watched as you tortured him and then ripped his throat out, how is that any different from what I do?" She leaned forward and looked at me with a serious expression.

I looked away and said nothing, I always tried to forget all of the heartless kills and tortures I've done but I could never escape them... I never wanted that to define me but the moment I was born, it defined me.

"What is this blood ceremony?" Marco asked.

"Address me with respect Beta, I don't give a shit who your Alpha is, you will address me as your superior when you speak to me," She said coldly as her eyes snapped to Marco.

His body went stiff as he looked down at the table, embarrassed and looked down on.

"The blood ceremony is a sacred ceremony I partake in with my members every blood moon, hence why I don't allow many members into my pack since the blood moon is so rare, in a metaphorical and somewhat actual sense, they are giving their hearts to me and that's all I can speak on in this matter," She explained.

"What the fuck is your other half?" I asked impatiently.

She chuckled and put down her wine glass and crossed her hands over her chest.

"Is that how you talk to a woman now Kaiden?" She asked.

"Answer me," I pressed.

"Patience Love, you'll learn when I deem you ready to know the truth," The waiter brought out plates and placed them down in front of us so I assume food was already ordered for us.

"Fine, can I at least know who the wolf was between your mother and father?" I asked.

"My bastard of a father was the wolf and a powerful Alpha, my parents weren't mates but my mother...seduced my father and I was the outcome of that seduction. He was driven crazy and ended up murdering my mother right in front of my eyes," She said nonchalantly.

Marco coughed awkwardly next to me and chugged down his water to avoid eye contact with anyone.

I wasn't expecting that much from her.

"The multi million dollar question that I'm dying to know is, what's going to happen with us?" I leaned forward so that I was looking her deep into her eyes.

She smiled at me and shook her head.

"I have a plan for us my Love and if you just cooperate then it will go as smoothly as possible and we cane together,"

I looked over and noticed Lane walking into the room with my cellphone in his hand.

I didn't think it was possible but those words made Alpha Isis loose her composure for a second. She choked on the wine she was drinking and stuttered out a cough as her Beta rushed to her side to aid her.

I ripped the phone out of his hand and huffed.

"Hello?" I answered the phone as I put it up to my ear.

Damn it Adrianna, why now of all times?

"Kaiden, Taylor really misses you and she's upset that you didn't call her this morning," Adrianna said over the phone.

"Adrianna you've called at the worst possible fucking moment, I'm in the middle of a very important meeting and you're calling me about this? Are you serious?!" I yelled into the phone.

It wasn't her fault, it truly was my fault for even roping this girl into this situation when she wasn't even my mate.

"I-I'm sorry Kaiden, you told Taylor you would call her this morning and she's been upset all day about it," She said hesitantly into the phone.

I looked up and noticed everyone was staring at me, including Alpha Isis, she had a stone cold expression on her face that was unreadable but I could tell she wasn't happy.

"Fine, let me talk to her quickly then," I sighed.

I heard shuffling on the other side of the phone and then Taylor's little voice fill my ears.

"Why didn't you call this morning daddy?" She asked.

"I'm sorry baby, daddy has just been really busy today and it slipped my mind," I half lied.

"Okay I forgive you daddy, are you coming home tomorrow?"

I heard shuffling again and Adrianna got back on the phone.

I hesitated for a moment and panicked. I knew for a fact that Isis was listening.

"...I love you too," I sighed and hung up the phone.

As I hung up the phone I felt a powerful and murderous aura filling the room, I looked over and noticed both Marco and Issac were trembling terribly with their heads on the table and their eyes closed.

I felt my muscles tightening and a headache forming in my head as I looked over and noticed Alpha Isis staring at me intensely with a murderous look in her eyes, I noticed a slight tint of gold in her pupils as her aura continued to fill the room, suffocating everyone in it. It felt like someone had their hand around my throat and others were holding my body down. It was something I never experienced before.

"Alpha please, it's too much!" Issac gasped as I noticed tears in his eyes.

Suddenly it was like a weight was lightened off my shoulders and I was finally able to breath again. Marco gasped for air as his head shot up from the table and he put his hand over his heart.

Who were her parents and why was she able to have such an aura?

"It's not what it seems like!" Was all I could think of what to say.

"What it seems like is that you have a Luna whom you already marked and you have a child with her, that's exactly what it seems like," She said harshly as she stood up.
