After a couple seconds I heard Taylor's sweet voice over the phone.

I sighed and smiled at the phone. I walked down the stairs and collapsed onto the couch in the living area.

"When are you coming home daddy?" She asked.

"In a couple days and then I'll take some time off to spend some time with you is that okay?" I smiled.

"I hear mommy crying at night about you," she said before I heard the phone shuffling on the other end.

Children were always too honest.

"Hello?" I heard Adrianna back on the phone.

"Listen it's getting late, Ill call you and Taylor in the morning but get some sleep for me," I said as I heard knocking on the front door.

"Okay, I'll talk to you tomorrow," She hung up the phone and I put it in my back pocket.

I walked over to the front door and opened it to see Issac standing in the doorway with a surprised expression.

"My warriors notified my that the Alpha was back home but I didn't expect to see you here in her home...especially on a full moon," His glance quickly washed over my neck and his body relaxed slightly.

Was he relieved that we weren't marked? What was his relationship to my mate outside of being her Beta and decoy Alpha.

"Why you come in for a little? She upstairs passed out so she won't be really joining us tonight," I smirked as I fully opened the door and stepped aside.

He looked down at the scratches on my arm and I noticed a slight bit of jealous flash in his eyes.

Were they romantic before I found her?

"I know she has a bottle of some fine scotch in her stock so how about we share that?" He walked into her open kitchen and pulled out two glasses.

I felt my wolf rumbling inside me.

I didn't like it either, he knew where everything was in her kitchen, that means he's been here plenty of times.

I walked over to the other side of the island and smirked. Fine, if this was a game he wanted to play then we could play only I'll just be getting information out of him.

"You and Isis seem to be pretty close," I insisted as I sat down on a high top at the island.

"Well I'm assuming you already figured out but I am her Alpha decoy so we have no choice but to be pretty close," He downed his scotch and scrunched up his face.

"So you must know what her other half is right? Obviously it isn't human but she isn't a full breed either," I questioned before also downing my drink.

He gave me a threatening look before turning away and laughing.

"If you were attempting to get any information out of me to know more about your mate then I'm sorry to inform you but I know pretty much nothing about the Alpha except the basis, she's only a half breed but her other half is something deadly, I know nothing of her father, mother or any other family, hell I've never even seen her wolf," He shrugged his shoulders.

"So you blindly follow an Alpha Female you know nothing about, the only thing you're familiar with is fucking her is that correct?" I balled my fist up and stood up, glaring at him. He walked out of the open kitchen and walked towards the door.

"She's...persuasive. She knows her ways of getting people to follow behind her and if you think you've seen her wild side then you're in for a surprise," He opened the door and let himself out, slamming the door behind him.

Who the fuck was this woman? Why could I find nothing out about her?

I walked back up the stairs and back into her room where she still laid under the covers, sound asleep. I walked over to her side of the bed and looked down at her and roamed her body with my eyes.

A scar? A blemish? Something that could help me find something out about her?

Her skin was damn near perfect, not a blemish in sight. Fuck she was so beautiful. I walked over to the other side of the bed and got in next to her. I looked at her black curls and smiled. It was nice to appreciate her hair down since she usually worn it in a bun. I lightly grabbed her hand and kissed it. I looked down at it and frowned. I noticed at the base of her fingers were light scarring around each of them, almost like rings around each finger. I shrugged it off and laid back down as I felt myself finally feeling fatigue and falling asleep.
