Chan's POV

My phone buzzed just as I was waking up. Groaning, I reached over Jeongin to grab it. The name flashing across the screen made me regret ever picking up.

"Hyunjin," I mumbled.

"Chan," he replied, his voice far too chipper. "Did you and Jeongin—"

"Not your business," I said, cutting him off.

"Oh, it's definitely my business. Felix has been speculating all morning, and I need to know if I should start prepping for the wedding."

"Goodbye, Hyunjin," I said, about to hang up.

"Wait, wait!" he said quickly. "Fine, I won't ask about your love life. But Felix wants to know if you're coming to Blue Hour. Apparently, Jeongin is ignoring his texts, and he's worried."

I glanced at Jeongin, who was scrolling through his phone with an expression of growing frustration. "I'll think about it."

"You better," Hyunjin said. "And Chan?"

"What?"

"If you hurt him, I'm telling Hannah."

With that, he hung up.

I stared at the phone in disbelief. "Why does everyone in my life think they can threaten me?"

Jeongin looked up, raising an eyebrow. "What's wrong?"

"Hyunjin," I said simply.

He groaned. "Of course."

"Apparently, Felix is hosting an emergency bottom squad meeting."

Jeongin sighed, flopping back onto the couch. "Can we just stay here forever?"

I laughed, ruffling his hair. "Tempting, but I think your phone might actually explode if you don't answer someone soon."

He glared at me but picked up his phone anyway.

Jeongin looked cute as hell when he was annoyed. His brows furrowed, lips pursed, and fingers flying across the screen like he was trying to teach whoever was on the other end of his chats a lesson. I couldn't help but chuckle under my breath as I watched him.

"What?" he asked, not looking up.

"Nothing," I said, leaning back against the couch. "Just wondering if I should be scared of whoever's getting roasted right now."

He finally looked up, his face a mix of exasperation and amusement. "Hyunjin. Who else?"

"Ah," I said knowingly. "Should I start preparing my eulogy?"

"Maybe."

I reached out and grabbed his phone from his hands, holding it out of reach as he squawked in protest.

"Hey!"

"You've been glued to this thing all morning," I teased, leaning back further as he tried to grab it. "Give it a rest for five minutes."

"I need to tell Felix that I'm not coming to Blue Hour!" he protested, clambering over me.

"Why not just go and shut them all up in person?"

Jeongin froze mid-reach, his face scrunching up like I'd suggested something absurd. "Because I don't feel like dealing with Felix's dramatics or Hyunjin's interrogation."

I grinned. "So, you'd rather stay here with me?"

His face turned a delightful shade of red. "Shut up."

I laughed, slipping my arm around his waist and pulling him closer. "C'mon, Jeongin. It's not that bad. Felix will probably just squeal a bit, and Hyunjin will gossip. You've survived worse."

"Barely," he muttered, but he didn't make any effort to move away from me.

I pressed a kiss to his temple, unable to resist. "Tell you what—if it gets too annoying, we'll ditch and come back here. Deal?"

He sighed, but I could tell he was relenting. "Fine. But you're buying my coffee."

"Deal."

We finally made it to Blue Hour about an hour later, and as soon as we stepped through the door, I regretted everything.

"THERE THEY ARE!" Felix's voice rang out, loud enough to turn a few heads.

Jeongin groaned under his breath as Felix practically launched himself across the café to greet us. Behind him, Hyunjin was smirking, and Seungmin looked like he wanted to disappear into the floor.

"You're late!" Felix scolded, hands on his hips.

"We weren't even planning to come," Jeongin said dryly, stepping past him toward the counter.

"Wait, wait, wait," Felix said, blocking his path. "I need details you disappeared last night  to chans and now you show up together looking all... couple-y. What gives?"

"We're not—" Jeongin started, but I cut him off.

"None of your business," I said, grabbing Jeongin's hand and pulling him toward the counter. "Coffee first, gossip later."

Felix pouted but didn't push further—for now.

As we waited for our drinks, I leaned closer to Jeongin and whispered, "You know they're not going to let this go, right?"

He sighed, resting his head against my shoulder. "Yeah. But at least I have you to suffer with me."

I smiled, pressing a quick kiss to his hair. "Always.
