CHAPTER 18
~Funeral…~
*DOHWA*
“I… I don’t know what you are talking about.” Dohwa said, getting up to her feet.
“Dohwa_”
“You can’t keep doing this, Lily.” She suddenly lashed out on Lilian. “What I do is for my son’s sake! What? Do you think I enjoy seeing him this messed up? Do you think I’m the murderer of my husband? Are you suspecting me?” She questioned, almost at the verge of crying.
Lily stood up to her feet as well and walked closer to Dohwa. “I’m not suspecting you, Dohwa.” She said.
“Then what are you doing!?” She asked. “How could you even think I don’t want my son to regain his memory?”
“It’s quite obvious, Dohwa. If you truly want him to regain his memory then you will tell him the truth.” Lily explained.
“Telling him the truth doesn’t guarantee anything, Lily.” She replied through gritted teeth, glaring directly at her best friend.
“Stop glaring at me.” Lily said, folding her arms across her chest and looked away from Dohwa.
“I’m leaving.” Dohwa announced, picking up her handbag from the ground.
“Are you mad at me?” Lily asked, looking back at her friend.
Dohwa let out a sigh as she shook her head already heading towards the door. “I’m trying not to get mad at you.” That was her reply before walking out of the house.

As soon as Dohwa walked into the house, the first person she met was Namjoon followed by the hard face of her son.
He was drinking, while staring at her _rephrase, while glaring at her_
He has never for once smiled at her. He has never talked calmly to her, he has never hugged her, he has never eaten her food, he has never smiled, and most importantly, he has never called her mother. And that’s ever since her husband died.
Lily was right. She didn’t just lose her husband… she lost her son as well _mentally_
“Hi.” She waved, slowly, looking in between her son and his friend. She was confused and at the same time worried.
Did something happened?
Did they find the murderer already?
Oh, maybe that document was of help to them after all.
Or wait, did Namjoon said anything to Jungkook?
Different thoughts kept coming into her mind but as soon as the last one came in, she quickly shook her head, shaking out the thought.
“Hi Mrs Jeon.” Namjoon was the one who greeted.
Jungkook didn’t do anything but took a sip from the hard alcohol in the glasscup. She don’t need to be told what it was. She knows her son better.
Well, that’s what she thinks.
“What’s going on here?” She asked, slowly.
“Um… it’s…”
“What was in the document?” Jungkook cuts Namjoon off, hitting the nail on the head without any further delay.
Namjoon glared at him. “I was going to say just that.”
“You were delaying.” Jungkook simply said.
“But I was still going to say it.”
Jungkook rolled his eyes, getting frustrated over his friend’s persistent. “And what different will it make?” He questioned coldly.
Namjoon threw his hands in the air as if giving up from the battle. “Whatever.”
Their attentions were back to her now. And for a minute she wished the fight didn’t come to an end.
“So?” Jungkook questioned.
“Didn’t…you guys read through it?” She asked.
“We would have.” Namjoon said sheepishly.
She raised a questioning brow at him _them_ “Would have? What do you mean? Wait, you did read the document, right?”
“Nope. We lost it.” Namjoon answered, looking at everywhere but her face.
“WHAT!?” she practically yelled. “Why will you lose such important document, huh?”
“It was a mistake.”
“What do we do now?” She asked, raking her fingers through her black shiny hair.
“Now that’s why we are here.” She stared at them in confusion, wondering what Namjoon meant by that. “You read the document, didn’t you?” He asked.
Dohwa hesitate for a very long time before slowly shaking her head ‘no.’ She made sure not to look at Jungkook.
“You didn’t?” Namjoon asked in disbelief.
“I was going to read it but Jungkook was already on his way out so I quickly packed it up so that I will be able to meet up with him before he leaves.” She explained.
“Then how did you know it will be helpful?” Namjoon asked, staring at her suspiciously.
“I guessed.” She responded, glaring at him.
“That’s a very difficult something to guess.” Namjoon said, his index finger was on his chin as he thought for a while. “Are you sure you didn’t read through the document? I mean, that’s the only clue we might have in catching this criminal.” he said.
She gulped. “I didn’t read the document, Namjoon.” She said through gritted teeth.
“Are you sure you didn’t read the document?” Jungkook was the one to ask this time around. She didn’t say anything at first but quickly shook her head ‘no.’ “Fine. We start from afresh then, Namjoon.” He said to his best friend, standing up to his feet and walking out of the house with his bottle of whiskey.
Namjoon stared at Dohwa for a while before walking out of the house as well but he made sure to tell her just one word he has always wanted to say to her ever since their encounter in the coffee shop.
“I will find the truth.”

*NAMJOON*
“What are we going to do now?” He asked Jungkook.
“We start from afresh.” Jungkook shrugged, taking a gulp from the bottle. “But, how come did we miss the document? It was at the Café. My Café…unless…”
Namjoon gasped. “Either the employees took it or someone disguised as a customer did.” He nod his head.
“I will have to go and ask them questions.” Jungkook said, walking over to his car. “Are you coming along?”
“Um, nope. I have something else to take care of.”
“Something more important than this?”
“Something useful for this investigation.” He said.
Jungkook stared at him for a while but said nothing, he hopped into his car and drove out of the compound. Namjoon did the same as well, he passed a different direction from Jungkook.

~One Hour Later~
Namjoon drove into a hospital compound. He parked his car in the parking lot and got down from the car.
He walked over to the large building, he stood in front of it for a while before walking in.
He greeted the nurse seated in the front desk. “Hello.”
She looks up at him from her laptop, a warm smile was plastered on her face. It was fake. Namjoon could detect she wasn’t happy, he didn’t question her about it, it was none of his business.
“Hi.” She greeted him back. “What can I do for you, sir?” She asked.
Namjoon smiled. “I’m here to see the doctor.” He blunted out.
“Uh… do you have an appointment with him?” She asked, still smiling.
“Well, not really.” He said.
“Then I’m sorry you can’t see him right now.” She said, shaking her head.
Namjoon never wanted to do this but he has no other option. He took out his policeman badge and waved it in front of the nurse. “I want to see your boss.” He said again, his voice held authority this time around.
“Oh. Yeah sure.” She quickly said. She gave him the direction of his office.
Namjoon smiled at her before walking away to see the doctor. The same doctor who treated his friend. The doctor that might seem to be the only one to provide him with answers Dohwa doesn’t want to give out.
This doctor was his only hope in finding out the truth.
He round a corner, he mistakenly bumped into someone. “Are you okay?” He asked the girl.
“I’m…yeah.” She was crying.
Did someone die?
Or did she received a bad news about a family member being in the hospital?
Namjoon thought to himself.
“Are you sure?” He asked again.
“Yes.” She answered. “I’m sorry for bumping into you.” With that, she ran off, not sparing him another glance.
Namjoon stood there for a while, he decided to shrug it off and go on with his journey.
He got to the front of the doctor’s office, he knocked few times before walking in. The man was seated behind his desk.
“Hello, doctor Woong.” He greeted, smiling.

*JIMIN*
He could hear the beeping of a machine, he could hear the soft music that played from the TV.
His body were numb. He couldn’t move them or do anything. He was weak.
A tear slowly trailed down from his eyes to his cheek.
Have he suddenly died?
Was he already in heaven?
His head hurts?
He couldn’t even raise it off the pillow. Wait, pillow?
“My prince?” The voice sounded so much like Lisa’s.
Is Lisa dead as well? If not, then what was she doing in heaven? Jimin thought to himself.
He slowly opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was a white ceilings, followed by Lisa’s crying face.
What’s going on?
How is this possible?
He was blind, right?
But if he truly was then how come could he see now?
What’s going on?
“My prince.” Lisa cried out.
“Wha…. what’s going on?” His voice came out huskily.
“My prince…can you see me now?” He slowly nods her head. “Thank goodness! Let me go call the doctor.” Just when she was about to leave, Jimin caught a hold of her wrist. “My prince?”
“Wha… what’s going on? How come…can.. I..I… see?” He questioned.
Lisa said nothing, lowering her gaze to the ground in sadness.
“Lisa… where…where is Aunt Hwasa?” He asked again, a smile was on his face now. “She will be… very happy to know that I can now see…where is she?” He asked, trying his best to look around.
He can’t believe he could finally see after all this years, he can finally see!
He just can’t wait to share the good news to his aunt.
Lisa made no attempt to leave, she suddenly started crying, surprising Jimin in the process.
“Lisa? What is it? Why are you crying? What’s going on? Where’s my Aunt?”
