"You just really terrify me Calix." I said as I looked at him solemnly trying to guilt trip him into letting bygones be bygones.

  He laughed darkly, slightly throwing his head back, taking a deep breath in closing his eyes, then releasing that breath and opening his eyes to reveal pitch black orbs staring at my own. "Do I terrify you," He paused before his hand that he had resting on my lower back grabbed my right butt cheek slightly squeezing it as he brought my bottom half closer to his. "Or Is it your frightened little pussy that you keep denying me?"

  I felt his erection between my legs through the thin fabric of my jumpsuit rubbing in between my folds as his dick twitched.   "But-" He annoyedly cut me off as he said, "I don't want you hanging around a rogue until he meets with me and becomes a full fledged member of this pack." "Don't you mean the Alpha?" I blurted out, having a tendency to test him.

  He lowered his head on mine, burying his nose in my hair. "Yes Amani, I mean the Alpha." He sounded like he wasn't willing to accept him even if he did meet with him. But I wasn't going to let that happen because Alex deserved the world and I knew if I wanted something he would try his best to make it happen and I was going to do the same for him. Even if it cost me a little bit of my dignity.

  "Do you think the Alpha will accept him into his pack?" I asked as I raised up off of him a little, placing my hands on his chest for support as I looked up at him waiting for an answer. "I don't know Amani, that's up to him. I have no control over his decisions." Who's the one lying now?

  I mentally sighed as I draped my arms around his neck and pushed my breast up against his chest. I purposely moved my hips against his erection as he let out a groan and grabbed my hips. "Fuck." I closed my eyes out of nowhere, suddenly feeling sleepy and drained of energy. He didn't even complain when I didn't give him a verbal response as he went up the stairs with me in tow.

  "Let's get you to bed." He said, opening the door to my room, going inside and closing the door behind him. I heard him move the covers back as he laid me down taking off my shoes for me. I barely had the energy to sit up; maybe all the stress from today finally took its toll or something because this was not normal. I rolled over onto my side as I saw Calix climb into bed with me as I unconsciously reached my arm out to him.

  "Calix." I called him like I was in a trance or something. "Yes my beautiful mate?" He said lovingly as he picked me up and placed me on top of him. I rested my head on his upper chest by his shoulder closing my eyes. "Will you accept Alex into your pack? It would make me really happy if you did." I told him as I didn't wait for an answer before finally falling asleep.

  I woke up feeling amazing as I attempted to get up, but was stopped by a hand around my waist as I looked down at it. I looked back up and noticed I was on top of Calix as he held his phone with one hand strolling on Instagram reels with no sound coming from his phone. I bet he could hear it just fine though with that advanced hearing of his.

  "Look who finally decided to wake up." He said putting his phone down to look at me. The memories came flooding back from earlier as I looked out of my huge window to find that it was already dark outside. How long was I out? More importantly, why did I allow this predator into my bed? Was I actually possessed or something?

  Then I remembered why I was in this predicament, so that he'd let Alex into his pack. "Are you going to let Alex into your pack?" I asked in desperation to know the answer looking up at him. He scrunched up his face in annoyance as he sat up with me on top of his lap causing me to straddle him. I tried to get off of him, but he held me in place effortlessly with his strong arms.

  "Why is that the first thing you ask me? More importantly, how did you know I was the Alpha? Did that mutt tell you?" He asked, irritation evident in his tone.

  I rolled my eyes and looked away from him, starting to get annoyed myself. "Why is that important? I asked you a question first, so why can't you answer it?"

  "You want to know where I stand with that mutt?" He asked, bringing my face back up to his. I nodded my head in his hand. "Well I was considering it, but until my mate starts accepting me and not using our bond to try and seduce me for the sake of another male; I think it's best to hold off on talking about this until that happens."

  He paused for a second before smiling menacingly down at me. "I would've let you keep going, but you ended up marking yourself and falling asleep." He seriously was pissing me off. I didn't know what I was upset with more; the fact that he knew; or the fact that he openly said no to letting Alex join his pack.

  What caught my attention was the last part that he said and I unintentionally asked out loud, "Marked myself?" He let out a long exhale as he said, "I knew I was going to have to explain this sooner or later to you, but I want you to promise me that no matter what I say that you'll still be open minded." He waited for my answer, but I wasn't going to give him that satisfaction to begin with so of course I agreed because curiosity got the best of me.

  "Sure." I said and he let go of my face. "When we have a mate there are steps that we have to take in order to strengthen our bond and first is marking then mating." I openly cringed at the mating part, but he continued after looking away from me with guilt plaguing his face.

  "In order to mark our mates we have to extend our canines and bite a certain spot of their neck an-" I looked at him sternly before cutting him off. "You are not marking or mating me Calix. Not now, not ever, so you need to get that ridiculous thought out of your head right now. " And I meant every word.

  He snapped his head back to me and growled at me threateningly. "Say that again and I'll prove you wrong right here and now. You are mine Amani and I will not tolerate your blatant disrespect." I knew that his threat held nothing but truth in it, so I stayed quiet not wanting to piss him off even more into actually doing it.

  I really didn't feel like arguing with him about this because I knew it'd be no point in reasoning with him, so I didn't bother trying to. "I will mark and mate you sooner or later whether you like it or not." He said dangerously low, turning my face to his, making me look into his eyes. I was developing a new kind of hatred for him for every second that passed by while I sat on his lap looking into those orbs of his deepening in color by the second.

  "I can sense your dislike towards me, but even so it won't change the fact that I will do exactly what I said I would and one day you will bear my pups inside you." He said determinedly. He's in for a rude awakening if he thinks I'm ever going to let that happen I thought as I let out a little laugh snatching my face out of his hand and pushing him away from me.
