"Are you at the airport?" Anita asked. I nodded and realized she couldn't see me. I placed my phone between my ear and shoulder as I pulled my suitcase. "Are you there?"

"Yes oo!" I replied as I pulled the bag. "It'll soon be time to board the airplane".

"Alright! Lucky you! I've never travelled by air"

"Yeah! I'm the first person in our family"

"Okay then! Save journey. Call me when you get to Abuja"

"I will. Bye!"

"Bye, baby sis!" she squealed and terminated the call. After an hour, I was in the plane. I sat down cozily at the seat assigned to me. It was close to the window. Beside me was a light-skinned lady. I glanced at her and sent a warm smile to her.

She rose a brow and rolled her eyes. My brows drew together.

It looks like my sitting partner today has an attitude.

The plane took off and I found it difficult to catch my breathe. My heart was pounding in an alarming rate.

"Is this your first time on a plane?" the lady asked me.

"Yes!"

"Oh!"

"You?"

"Of course not!" she squealed in a not-so-British accent. "I've been to America, UK and South Africa. All by plane".

"Oh! That's nice!"

"That means you haven't traveled out of this country?"

"Yes!"

She pursed her lips as if digusted.

"What's wrong?"

"I wonder how it feels to live in one country. Try to move about. Go to places. Or Don't your family have money?"

"Excuse me!"

"I'm British. I'm a citizen of United Kingdom by birth"

No one asked you oo.

"But...um...you don't have British accent"

"I do. Aren't you hearing it?"

"No!"

"Then you're deaf!"

"Mtchew!" I hissed.

"I have a british accent," she said in a weird accent that wasn't even close to the word British.

"How long have you been I Nigeria?"

"Two years!"

"No wonder! Nigeria washed the accent away!" I chuckled.

She didn't find that funny rather she glared.

I give up. This girl is super annoying.

I decided to mind my own business and sat quiet.

"My boyfriend will be in Abuja. I can't wait to see him. I will kiss him till he can't breathe," she chirped.

I rolled my eyes.

"He's mine and only mine!" She tappedd my shoulder. "Do you have a boyfriend?"

"No!"

"Get one!"

"I can't just get one. I need to select a guy that's worth my time"

"Or is it because you aren't pretty enough?" she cocked a brow. "Like I'm sexy. Guys are always fighting for me".

I shrugged.

Who cares!

"Try doing some workout to get more butts and boobs. Some drugs help in that too," she voiced and placed her hands on her breast. "This way, your boyfriend won't look at another woman. I'm rich and I can afford those drugs".

"Why would you want to change yourself for a guy?"

"Because he is mine and he likes seexy women. I don't want any of his female frieds to snatch him for me!"

"Okay! I understand"

"My boyfriend is wonderful. He always respects me that's why he doesn't kiss me or touch me randomly. He has only kissed me once on the lips. He wants to honor me as a woman and I don't like it. When I get to Abuja, I plab of seducing him. I want him to kiss me ans touch me"

"What's so wrong with him respecting you? He is a good man. Don't seduce him. What if you make a mistake you will regret?"

"I actually plan of marrying him. If I sleep with him, I might get pregnant and have his child. He will havw no choice but to marry me"

"That's not right!"

"He thinks I'm a virgin. I'm not. I woder how he will react if he finds out have dated a lot of guys before him," she shrugged. "Who cares! He won't know. He won't even believe. In his eyes, I'm a good, innocent girl".

I hate this girl already.

"Freddy! Freddy! Freddy! I will make you mine"

"What? His name is Freddy?"

"Frederick Okoro! I'm Katherine James. You can call me Kate," she flipped the long braids off her shoulder and smirked.

I narrowed my eyes to slits and growled, "I'm Naomi Tosin. Does it ring a bell?"

Her eyes widened. "You're joking?"

"So I look like I'm joking? So we meet again eh? You heartless monster! How are you dating Freddy? How come? Aren't you the one who pushed him down the stairs in school that day?" I raised my hand to her cheek but she held it.

"Don't even create a scene and don't dare to slap me!" she bellowed.

"You! You..." I trailed off anx pulled my hand away from hers.

"Yes! I pushed him but he doesn't remember that Song seized the opportunity and made him mine. Very soon, I might be his wife," she chuckled.  "Naomi, It's nice to see you. I've always wanted to rub it in your face that I won. I ended up with Freddy. I'm the right woman for him".

"Obsession! You are obsessed with him that's why you are still after him," I sneered. "What's wrong with you?"

"No! Ask yourself what's wrong with you? Haven't you moved on? Are you waiting for a guy that doesn't even remember you?"

"What do you mean?" my voice came out thin and weak.

"My Freddy lost his memories after the accident in school. He was in a coma for two years before he recovered. Ever since he woke up, I've been the girl by his side. I've helped him a lot and I know he is falling in love with me"

"So you don't fell guilt? You conscience....what happened to it? You almost killed Freddy and you don't care?"

"He is alive. That's all that matters"

"Kate, you will reap this. Watch and see!"

"I'm watching! Nothing has happened," she let out a sinister laughter. "All is fair in love amd war. Keep that in mind".

"So Freddy is in Abuja?" I mumbled to myself. "That means there is a chance for me to meet him. I will do all my beat to separate him from Kate. God forbid! I won't allow a good guy like hin date a wicked woman like Kate".

"I will advise you to stay away from Freddy. Of you try to snatch him for me, I will not hesitate to attack you," she announced. "Freddy and I are destined to be".

I must find Freddy. Now I'm super determined. He is surrounded by his own enemy. A woman that won't hesitate to harm him. Even of he can't remember me, I will allow our love story to start from the beginning. It will be magical.

My highschool love story with him ended tragically. If I were to read a novel like that, I would hate it. It would break my heart. So if I get to meet Freddy soon, I will allow that incomplete love story to blossom. Of I find out that it can't be completed or that we aren't destined to be, I will ensure the story ends with us as friends and not separated.

For now, My battle is with Kate. I will never let her win. She doesn't deserve Freddy.
