It turned out I underestimated my enemy!

These were the words on my mind as the water swallowed me whole.

It's either I die or survive! God help me.

"Sorry sir!" I voiced as I marched to my film director. "Is this where we are acting our next scene?"

The short man had his eyes on our movie script as he spoke words into his mini microphone.

"Excuse me?" I called out.

"Yes! This is where we are acting today," he grumbled and took some steps away from me. He was obviously irritated by my question but can you blame me? I've asked this question five times and he's been ignoring me.

"In the swimming pool?" I quizzed.

"Yes na! Didn't you read the script?"

"But we jumped one episode!" I snapped.

"Leave it. Now that the weather is bright. We shall act the pool party scene," he replied.

"I can't swim!" I whispered.

His bushy brows went up and he regarded me. "Why?"

I rolled my eyes.

"However..." he cleared his throat. "You won't be swimming since I gave you the good girl role. Kate will be the one swimming to get attention. The pool party is the protagonist birthday celebration. I am disappointed that you haven't checked this part of the script".

He narrowed his eyes at me and snorted. This incensed me and I frowned.

"You just changed my role recently. I'm trying to learn my new lines so don't tell me you are disappointed," I retorted and walked away.

I sat on the plastic deck chair in the swimming area as I flipped pages of my script. Every actors and actresses were already rehearsing. Suddenly, the director instructed we all sat and watch Freddy and Kate act their part.

Guess what? In this specific scene, Kate being the evil lady in the movie will be flirting with Freddy, the protagonist. That's not all oo! She will have to touch him and kiss his cheek. Sha...the good news is that the good girl will walk into the party and he will come to embrace her which is me! Hehe!

The environment was silent as we watched Kate call Freddy different pet names. She was wearing a bikini.

I don't know who send her oo! This is just rehearsal we don't need to wear any costume.

Her whole cleavage were showing as she hopped on her toes. She embraced Freddy so her upper body could be plastered to his arm and kissed his cheeks. Kate then purred to make the scene more annoying for me but I remained unaffected by it.

What got to my nerves was the fact that our director was never satisfied with their performance and made them repeat it up to ten times. Girls were intentionally cheering that they made a great couple so as to get to me. They boldly called me an enemy of progress and a boyfriend snatcher.

After the scene was perfected, it was my turn to walk in. Unfortunately, Kate had it all planned. It shocked me that she was actually working with the director. I just couldn't believe she had control over our director. Before Freddy could embrace me, Kate announced "Let's take a break!"

I turned to the director hoping he would disagree but he smiled at Kate and said, "Let's take a break. We will skip this scene for now. I just remembered we have some important episode to finish up".

He smirked as he walked past Kate. That's when I noticed how he lustfully stared at her exposed body parts. Kate was wearing a wine colored bikini which was just pants and two triangle shape to cover her breast with an extended rope she tied at her neck.

She bit her bottom lip and her eyelashes batted as she stared back at him. Mr Solomon's eyes outlined her figure, he winked and strode off.

To say I am disappointed with my director is an understatement. I am more than disappointed.

I heard a grunt that pulled me out of my thought. I glanced at Freddy who stood beside me, his hands dug into his pocket.

"Hmmmm....Mr Solomon! That man," Freddy said in gravelly voice.

"You saw what the director did?" I exclaimed.

"I'm sure he is interested in Kate's body but I know she won't sell herself so cheap!" he replied.

Hmm...Did he not see the way Kate was biting her lip and staring at Mr Solomon? I don't trust her.

"How are you, baby girl?" Freddy asked with a lighter tone and placed both arms on my shoulders. "Any plans for this afternoon?"

"Nope!"

"I'm craving shawarma! I tasted it for the first time last night and I want more," he chuckled and leaned close to my face. "You wanna come with me?"

"Will you buy for me?"

"I won't invite you if I didn't have plans to get one for you. I'm even thinking of getting ice cream too"

"Dude, are you okay? Why are you suddenly interested in junk food?"

"I've always been interested in it. Just that I'm craving hard for them now," his body vibrated as he laughed and I could feel it as his arms were on me.

FYI my shoulders hurt cos Freddy's arms are made up of muscles and my shoulders are made up of mostly bones and small flesh. I'm slim-thick. Glory be to God.

"There is no time, sugar! You coming?"

"Yes but I need to change," I smiled.

"What happened to what you are wearing? There is no time!"

"The top looks faded and the trouser is old," I waved my hands at my body and huffed.

"You look hot!"

"Your eyes need to be cleaned. Not only hot! I look like someone who was forced out of bed and with anger wore rags," I chuckled.

"Let me guess! That's exactly what you did today," he took his arms off my shoulders and burst into a fit of laughter. "You sleep a lot!"

"Whattttt?" I exclaimed. "Pfft! How do you know?"

"For two good days, I came to your hotel but I was told you were sleeping," Freddy scrunched his face as he eyed me. "I just hope you were dreaming about me or else?"

"Or else what?" I snickered and wiggled my brows. "Abeg oo! I was dreaming about a certain crush of mine!"

Freddy almost choked on his own saliva. "A certain....whattt?"

"My crush!" I smiled innocently. "What happened?"

"I will just assume I'm the crush! Let's go," he wrapped his arm around my waist and we walked out of the pool. My hotel was miles away from this swimming pool we had rented for the scene. Freddy and I got to the parking lot where he parked his car. I was about to hop in when I realized something was missing.

My handbag, phone and movie script!

"My phone!" was the first thing I screamed. "I'll be right back".

I dashed back to the pool. Luckily, my properties were still in tact. I caressed my phone and smiled.

My android baby is okay. Praise God!

"Oh, the slut is still here! No wonder the air here is polluted," a disembodied voice sneered.

I swung my bag on my shoulder and held my phone and script in both hands.

"Hey," Kate called to get my attention.

She stood in my way so I had to walk to her right side to avoid any body contact with her. My eyes spotted the clean water in the pool and my breath hitched. I decided to keep a distance between me and it but Kate hopped to my side and I bumped into her.

"I see you are blind!" she yelled, snatched my phone from my hand and threw it into the pool.

I screamed and my heart sank down to my guts. I turned to her and landed a hot slap on her cheek. Angry tears made my eyes blurry. My phone was dead and it's all because of this....I rose my hand to slap again, maybe to even break her bones and the witch pushed me into the pool.

"R.I.P" she chuckled and sashayed away.

"Help! Kate! Wait! I can't swim! Help me!" I screamed with all my lungs as it felt the water was pulling me.

"Don't worry! Someone has already told me that. Bye! See you in hell," she laughed evilly and left the place.

I screamed with my last strength before I succumbed to the forces of the water.

It turned out I underestimated my enemy!

These were the words on my mind as the water swallowed me whole.

It's either I die or survive! God help me.
