These are the things I no longer wish to understand...

The reason why the Sun gives up shining at night

So the Moon can breathe.

The reason why voices turn to echoes when

You're far enough away.

The reason why his handwriting is so much like

His voice it hurts.

Why the Moon shines when nobody's watching

And the waves splash at night,

When no one can hear them.

Why a mother's prayer takes time to be heard.

Why a baby's cry holds more pain than a rainstorm.

Why people must die for others to live.

Why children must grow up

And leave their dreams to rust

With their imaginations.

Why hearts must break to learn to love

And why we must carry the weight of the world

In order to grow stronger.

Because maybe Life would be simpler

If

    I

      Just

            Let

                 It

                         Go.
