How to Be an Angel

How to be an angel:

Descend through the skies like a meteor,

Light up the air around you,

Billowing smoke rising from the flames.

How to be an angel:

Go to Hell and rise again,

Swallow the screams

And burn off your sins.

How to be an angel:

Burn alone, and alone, and alone.

Now you have perspective.

You've seen the world from up high

And down low

And you'll never swing down that sword

On anyone else.

Rise a protector.

It's only those who've swallowed pain

Who know how to keep it from others.
