Life is never perfect.

It's hard, it's rough, it's enduring.

But sometimes it gets so close. So close that happiness floods your mouth and you get drunk on its sweetness. So close, you're golden, and I'm golden, and everything is magic. Just for a heartbeat. One hour. One day.

The eye of the raging storm.

I've learned that there's a lot I can endure if only I'm given moments like these in between. Let life's golden perfection sit on my tongue for one breath, and my whole life can go to hell and I'll still be flying.

Life is never perfect.
