How long is "forever"?

It's the sweeping of the brush climbing the stem of F,
Curling over the O,
Gently tracing the R,
Playing with the E,
Sharp turns at V,
Another stem to climb with E,
Another R...

And when it reaches the end,
It finds itself right back at the beginning.
