Chapter 34: Endings and Beginnings Don't Sync
Hanabi convulsed. Sat on her thighs with her head hung down and one arm keeping her spine up, her other hand grasped on her chest. Hearing Eri's name clenched her heart.
Chisaki squatted to Hanabi's height and abruptly lifted her hand off the ground "Eri misses you so much... she's always thinking about you," Chisaki stated in sarcasm as she hauled Hanabi to meet his sinister gaze. Hanabi's eyes widened, sprouting tears, his words stirred a traumatic memory. "The night you left Eri, is still fresh in her mind, Hanabi."
"Hanabi!" Shinsou appeared outside the opened door behind Chisaki. Rushed back to her after sending Hinata away. Aghast upon his arrival, Shinsou tightened a fist, his forehead furrowed. "Did you hurt Hanabi?" his tone was bitter.
Chisaki stood and turned a glared at Shinsou; didn't answer, for he already had a taste of Shinsou's quirk in the past. He walked to Shinsou. Each tap of his steps rang louder and closer. A hostile aura from him choked both teenagers into statues. Chisaki placed his hand on Shinsou's shoulder, slid his cold amber eyes down at him. Daring, Shinsou faced Chisaki. Eye to eye, fierce.
"Don't ever come back looking for her," Shinsou said through his mind.
"This kid being around Hanabi is such a pain... I want him gone." Chisaki's quirk itched to end him; nevertheless, Chisaki inserted his fingers back into his gloves and formally took his leave. Killing a UA student during this big event would ruin his cover."Hanabi will need me again..." Chisaki thought, "Soon, she'll personally return to me." With that, Chisaki departed.
Shinsou rushed to Hanabi, "You alright!?" he dropped on his knees, clasping the sides of her shoulders.
Not a word from Hanabi. Her head down, her hair curtained the broken expression on her face. Her mind was absent. She then whispered emotionless, "I left Eri, Shinsou..."
"I told you to never ask for his help again!" Shinsou raised his voice, he gritted his teeth frustrated but was more worried. "If I had returned a second late, he could've dragged you back to his lab!"
"I've been back to his lab, Shinsou!" the words came out as a shout. Hanabi's lips quivered. Shinsou was taken aback by what she said. She crumpled her skirt, "I've been meeting with Chisaki behind your back... and for those times, I..." big orbs of tears followed, overspilling from her cheeks, they damped her lap. "I had a hundred chances to make it up to Eri, but I didn't... for my selfish reason that Chisaki won't stop healing me." She crouched, crying uncontrollably.
A pause of words. None spoke, only Hanabi's cries were heard. Shinsou soon carefully hugged her. "Don't worry... a hero will save her someday," he gently patted her back. "You don't have to trouble yourself with the affairs of this world."
Hanabi sniffed. "What...?" confused.
Shinsou's eyelids lowered halfway. Saddened in thought, Hinata's words flashed in his head. He pulled Hanabi closer, tighter, towards him. Drowned himself on her shoulder, rumpling her clothe, holding onto her shuddering. "Your sister said..."
"It seems you're aware of our situation... that we're not from here..." Hinata talked to him before she stepped out of the dark tunnel to fight Bakugo. "After I win this event... Hanabi will come with me." Her statement stunned Shinsou. "Thank you, for taking care of my little sister."
Shinsou's voice shook, "You'll be able to go back home, Konoha..."
Hanabi turned wide-eyed at Shinsou's statement.
"This means goodbye now."

"Where the heck you going!?" Bakugo yelled, stuck in bed with his broken spine in check. Hinata stood up after sitting down for a rest beside him. A span of time was provided before the final match would start.
"I have to get ready... and..." Hinata reddened. "Th-The restroom," she replied, shy.
"And you memorize the way, idiot?" Bakugo raised a brow.
Unsure and still calculating in her head, Hinata's eyes fidgetted and sheepishly said, "I-It's at the right from here, and I'll go straight then at the right side...." she disheveled her hair, answering.
"Good. Tch!" Bakugo spat, "Stay close to the wall, there're downstairs at the left side on the way." he looked away saying that.
The concern twisted a faint smile on Hinata, "Excuse me then," she bid and carefully walked to the exit door, avoiding the infirmary beds there.
When she got out, she closed the door and went on the path she memorized. Following Bakugo's advice, she glided her fingers gracefully on the wall. It was quiet when two voices caught Hinata's ear. She stopped in her tracks. At her left side, their conversation slightly echoed. Judging by the sound's quality, they're underneath her, on the middle platform of a stairway.
...
"It'd be shameful if that Hyuuga girl beat you... and for what childish reason? Because you refuse to use your left side!?" Endeavor stated. His biceps were crossed to his torso, looking down at Shoto who was at his front but didn't bother facing him.
Shoto's knuckles whitened, clenching hard. "Shameful on me? or on you." he talked back, looking up to his dad with his half-white-red hair shadowing his riled eyes.
"Shoto!" The attitude irked Endeavor, "Use your fi-!"
"Wait-!!"
Shoto flinched surprised.
Endeavor stiffened.
Suddenly Hinata fell tumbling on the stairs. "Ouch..." she rubbed her bum sitting up, not knowing she actually landed at the middle of the two talking. Wrong landing.
"Wh-Who are you to interrupt us?!?!!!!" Endeavor stuttered, shocked but didn't want to look startled in front of his son. His flames waxed with his enraged temper.
Hinata then realized her standing when she heard that. She hastily stood up and accidentally crashed her head against Shoto's chin as he planned to lend a hand. "S-S-Sorry!!" Hinata yelped, moved aside, and hovered her hands around, but wasn't exactly facing Shoto.
Endeavor fazed at the sight. "You're blind!?!" his rage further worsened.
Shoto grabbed her hand and made her face him, "Hinata, you can't see?" they had no eye contact. They're right then.
"A blind girl would fight against Shoto!??!!! That's deprecating!!" Endeavor exclaimed angrily.
The statement triggered Shoto. "You-!!"
"I don't care..." Hinata abruptly raised her arm in front of Shoto and correctly faced Endeavor, hearing his loud voice. "Shoto will fight me! Whether in my blind state or not!..." she spoke up firm to Endeavor, it shocked both father and son, "And he will fight me in his own way... with or without his fire, That's his problem!- I-I mean choice!" her confidence diminished instantly.
"Am I being too disrespectful? To someone, I just met, not to mention, Shoto's father...!!" Hinata shrieked in her mind. Her head released smoke, reddening, embarrassed much while pondering how to make her exit.
Her audacity angered Endeavor even more, but before another word came out of him Shoto slipped his arm through Hinata's legs. He got up, carried her away, climbing the stairs where Hinata came from.
"SHOTOOOO!!!!" Endeavor shouted.
...
As the two were far enough, Todoroki carefully dropped Hinata on her feet. Hinata blushed the whole time.
"You... didn't have to interfere..." Todoroki said. His head tilted low.
Hinata's blush faded. His disheartened voice worried Hinata, her forehead creased upset. With her hands holding each other on her chest, she havered on what words would cheer him up.
"Uhm, Shoto..."
Todoroki's eyes widened.
A sudden soft calming color scheme encircled the atmosphere the moment they touched.
Faintly, Todoroki blushed along with Hinata as she patted and ruffled his hair gently. The gesture took the words off of Todoroki, touched deeply. Felt nostalgic, emersed in memories of the endearing moments with his mom.
"I'm sorry, there's nothing I can say..." Hinata smiled with eyes closed. "Because I wasn't the strong heir my father hoped..." Her thoughts continued the sad fact, that she was exiled.
"Thanks, Hinata..." Todoroki held her hand that was on his head. Hinata poofed redder.
#: "Shoto Todoroki and Hinata Hyuuga, please prepare..." The speakers paged them. Announced that in a short while, their match would start.
"I-I guess..." Hinata slipped her hand from Todoroki and collided it with her other hand, playing her fingers timidly. "Uhm, good luck for both of us!" she exclaimed, still pink on her cheeks, "S-See you at the arena!"
"Wait." Todoroki reached for her before she turned her back on him. Hinata stopped.
"Yes?" She asked.
"After this... will... will you go out with me?" Todoroki bluntly said.
"Huh?!" Hinata blanched, deflated then inflated back instantly. Almost passed out. "I-I-I... I-I... I...!!!" her eyes morphed into lines rolling nonstop, thinking, but was unable to form a sentence.
Todoroki chuckled, "I should've said during our battle. You'd be defenseless." his face lightened up, smiling already.
That made Hinata pop more embarrassed smoke, "Sh-Shoto, don't do that next time!!" she wagged her hands repeatedly to express a 'no'.
"If I win. My treat." He then brought back the topic, serious.
Hinata got taken aback speechless.

[Time Backwards... at Neji...]
Neji recognized her presence. "TenTen?" he assured.
Carefully, TenTen led him to a less crowded corner. Under a shade outside a closed shop, they stood there. TenTen faced Neji, serious. "It's happening to all the Hyuugas in the camp...so I rushed to check on you."
"Everyone!? Blind!?" Neji exclaimed.
"Yes." She nodded, "Worse for the Aburame clan, their insects are rapidly feasting on their own chakra in desperation for its own survival." TenTen reported, "They're decaying faster, many have died already."
Neji's forehead wrinkled. "Hinata..." troubled in thought, his hand clenched.
TenTen read his expression. Her face saddened, darkened to a guilty look.
"TenTen, please help me get to UA. We're close, I was heading there initially." Neji faced TenTen, "I have to know how Hinata's-"
"I know, but I'm here to bring you back." TenTen interrupted. She shivered, enwrapping both of Neji's hands into her palms. "...Hinata and the others missing... can't make it."
"What!?" Neji gasped. A tremendous weight materialized on his wrists as TenTen summoned chains, knowing Neji will go against this, she sealed their hands together with her last chakra reserved.
"The situation has worsened. They have finally retrieved the Scroll to lead us back to Konoha, everything's prepared..." her voice raised, grip tightened, "I'm sorry, Neji... it's now or never. I can't let you go... I can't leave you." TenTen cried.
"TenTen, are you saying..." Neji's eyes widened in denial.
"It's been decided..." TenTen sobbed, "They're leaving here... with or without the rest, Neji."
