Chapter 27: All Is Set For The Sports Fest!
THIRD-PERSON POV:
"We should've gone full force on that guy!" Gai grunted, kicking away the useless scroll.
"You know we can't do that," Kakashi replied. Sat on one of the boulders there, his one knee raised, letting his left hand rest on it close below his chin. "We have to save our chakra for casting the Jutsu, remember? It's our only way back to Konoha." He sighs, looking at his exhausted hand, shaking.
"But without the scroll, we can't cast it! We're deteriorating here the longer we stay!" Neji exclaimed. "We need to retrieve the scroll soon, sacrifice some of our chakra to fight before we all die here!" Neji's voice raised, his arms spread out to express his words, upset already of the situation.
"Neji, calm down. We still have Hinata's plan, right?" Lee spoke up.
"Lee's right. We need Naruto." Kakashi added to Lee's point, making Neji look at him. "With Naruto's large amount of chakra we won't be in this dire state, and I fully agree on Hinata's plan in finding him."
"But Hinata has to compete to achieve this. She needs chakra, something we're all losing!" Neji's eyes sharpened, angered. "None of this should heavily burden Hinata. You Gai sensei and Kakashi should've took initiative back in Konoha to-!"
"Neji!" Gai and Lee shouted in sync.
Neji grunted, his brows meet, his mouth crooked, irritated.
Gai continued, "Everything happened fast without warning, the culprit was a mystery to us too, Neji-"
Kakashi gestured his hand for Gai to stop. Gai silenced.
"Let's not dwell on the past. We have to focus on the problem at hand..." Kakashi faced Neji, dropped his feet on the ground. "Have a little faith in Hinata. She offered the plan, she knew the risks."
Neji looks away, still concerned for his cousin. "Maybe so, but..."
"This is for Naruto she's doing." Another person said from afar. "Nothing can stop her from that. She can do anything and everything." From the side, on a broken staircase to the next floor above them, someone came down. It made the three face their heads there.
"They asked me to call you guys, dinner's ready." the person said. Shino said.

THIRD-PERSON POV:
"When I finally have the chance to find home again, to be useful for my people and prove to Neji I can do it, why do I have to lose it now!?"
Hinata's words kept repeating, echoing back and forth in detective Naomasa's office. He recorded Hinata's whole statement from start to end but only this sentence he stayed pondering. His back rested well on his chair, with his eyes closed, mind in deep thought.
Aizawa's hunch was correct, the detective had a different motive.
"My people...." Naomasa said Hinata's words in his mind.
A knock disturbed the detective.
"Come in," he said.
The door opened, revealing the cat-headed officer. "Sir, he's gone rogue, much worse than before."
Naomasa's fear spiked. He shot up from his seat. "Take me to him...!" He hurriedly wore his coat and went away with the officer.
Minutes passed, they reached the location.
The air around choked them as they walked down deeper on the staircase towards the place, the beast's cage. Sweat covered their faces, beholding it at their front.
The dark orange void color... showing a form of a beast, a fox. The normal boy they once knew morphed into something else.
Naomasa thought of Hinata's recorded words again. "This boy, Hinata, and more of them... they're not from here." Naomasa stared in pity, "Naruto..." eyes closed halfway, memories of the fun moments he spent with him flooded his head.
They released a certain smoke to tame and ease the boy's tension, but it's sure to not last long.
"What happens then if I can no longer contain this child's power? What if he escapes and falls into the wrong hands and-" recalling the recent rise of villains and reports of crimes, it worried him of all sorts of despicable outcomes to burst out of control. He exhaled deeply, turned from facing Naruto's cage, tucking his hands in his coat's pockets, his chin rested low.
After some time, they exited the basement. Naomasa stopped on his track while on the stairway, "Is this even a must? I'm treating Naruto like a prisoned animal." Downhearted, looking back at the multiple thick gates they securely locked to get out.
"None of this should ever reach outside, particularly the media," Naomasa spoke up, lifelessly, persuing his walk to finally leave the entire underground confinement.
They went into their car and drove back to their police station. Naomasa, in the back seat, while the cat officer took the wheel.
"What about Hinata, sir?" the cat officer asked.
A big sigh came out of the detective.
"That's what concerns me...UA is currently the media's focus since the attack," Naomasa replied. "Hinata insists to join the Sports Fest... I understand she wants to so bad because she wants her people to reunite; however, we don't know if she'll turn out like Naruto."
Red light. The car stopped. As if on cue, Naomasa paused for a breath and exhales heavily. "After some time of seeing Naruto using his chakra, suddenly it went uncontrollable."
"It might happen to Hinata during the Sports Fest, open to media." the officer continued the point in understanding. "Then she should be expelled-"
"But there's a chance she's not like Naruto." Naomasa inserted. "Naruto once told me that...he was... different in their village."
"Would their power go beserk like Naruto's but at different pace and level...?? Or is this only happening to Naruto as we speak?..." Questions piled up in the detective's mind.
Green Light, they went on.
"So what now?" the driver queried.
"I've discussed this already privately to Principal Nezu," Naomasa answered. "Things would've been easier if everything turned out differently, but Hinata's reaction to Aizawa's declaration was obvious she was unwilling to step out of UA. The Principal and I have somehow come to settle an agreement on the matter."
"He knows of Naruto?" The cat officer looked into the detective's eyes through the mirror's reflection.
"No," an immediate reply. "but, surprisingly, Principal Nezu's well aware of Hinata's true situation, including the village Konoha." Naomasa stated, "He told me it was truly of that reason why he recommended Hinata into UA, he got curious at first, and the longer he had his eyes on Hinata the more of his questions were answered."
"So, all is handled then?"
"I hope," Naomasa replied.
In great timing, they reached their destination, and parked the car, but before they got out...
Naomasa dropped his hand on the officer's shoulder, "I apologize for the burden," he smiled, "but it's not my fault you witnessed all of this happened before." his eyes turned dead serious, the menacing atmosphere emitted suffocating chills. "This secret remains as is, do you understand?"

TODOROKI'S POV:
The clock ticked to hour 9. The city lights were visible through the window beside Hinata's bed. I sat close on a provided chair, the reek of the hospital room made memories of mom... I waited, staring at Hinata.
The image of her a while back flashed in my mind, Hinata's rotting figure. But all that later went away swiftly as I gaze at her perfectly normal state again.
And at what happened before that... her eyes are still puffed, reddish on the sides because of crying.
"Why did all this happened to her..." I thought. "All at once, I witnessed her in misery..." My eyelids weighed heavy.
Her eyes fluttered open, I shot up from my seat. "Hinata, you're awake!" I ran out of the room and called for the doctor who took charge of her.
I hurried back, but only to see the sheets empty, and the curtains wildly swaying as the outside breeze sucked inside the open window. "She's gone..."

THIRD-PERSON POV:
Back at the school, inside the faculty room of UA teachers. Only one light bulb lit the desolate space. The clock ticked and rang its time, 10 pm.
A phone vibrated on one of the desks. Mummy hands picked it up, it's Aizawa's. He answered it, uttering nothing, just waited.
Principal Nezu called. #: "Pardon me for calling so late...we have an urgent issue to deal with regarding Hinata."
[HUGE Time Skip- Days After]
THE DAY OF THE SPORTS FEST...
"Bakugo, do you have an idea where Hinata is?"
"THE HECK I'D KNOW!?!?!! GET LOST PUFFY CHEEKS!!" Bakugo shouted. Pissed off, "why she had to ask me!? Am I close with that damn Red Face!" he thought.
"My name's Ochaco Uraraka! I don't know, just asked, in case you know something." Uraraka backfired a bit of attitude then later walked away and sat on her seat.
"Tch!" Bakugo spat. Minutes later took off the annoyed looked on his face. His eyes looked down. "Where is she anyway..." his memory of what he heard of Aizawa and Hinata's conversation flashed back. "She's gone for good, huh...?"
Bakugo took a slight glimpse at Todoroki, they seem to be on the same question.
"Good morning..." as always the tired greeting of Aizawa caught the whole class's attention. "Get ready and change into your PE. soon we'll head out for the live Sports Fest."
Everyone's Spirits flared up.
"SWeeEEEeeeETTT!!!!!" Kaminari was the loudest.
"U-Uhm, excuse me, Aizawa sensei, where is Hinata? It's been days- uh- j-just worried, sir." Midoriya raised a hand, politely asked, a bit hesitant as usual.
Bakugo and Todoroki eagerly waited for a reply.
Aizawa was silent. "Didn't I say get ready?" he shot a glare.
"S-Sorry!." Midoriya squeaked, frightened.
The class immediately walked out to prepare themselves in fright.
Aizawa followed after.
"Where is she exactly?" Todoroki approached Aizawa while the rest of the students went ahead. "She wasn't in a good condition the last time I saw her."
Bakugo heard and slowly paced his walk to wait for the answer.
"Tough enough to look at me like that? Where're your manners?" Aizawa shifted the topic.
Todoroki waited, a bit irritated but then walked away, knowing he won't be getting a reply.
[Time Skip]
"Jeez, Midnight sensei should wear something decent..." Kirishima commented on the side, looking away with a blush. Some other boys too, while others chose to stare at the body's beauty.
"Now for our speech representing our students...!!!" Midnight yelled loud on the mic at front. Her voice was loud enough to overlap the crowd's background noise.
"Can't we just get over with the tournament?" Bakugo grunted under his breath.
"Hinata Hyuuga from class 1-A!!" Midnight continued.
Bakugo's eyes widened and looked up to the stage.
It is her. She walked up to the stage from the back. Went up with confidence and boldness.
"Wow, is that Hinata!?" Uraraka was awed by the sudden change of character.
Many students gossiped and wondered how and why was Hinata picked to make the speech but later then it came to one point...
"Make sense, she's the one who the Principal of this school recommended anyway." They say.
"But hey... never imagine her to be this beautiful."
"She's so angelic!"
More chattering and praises.
Most guys stared at her, mesmerized by her beauty.
Hinata immediately grabbed the mic with no hesitation deeply breathed in and out. Her eyes were fierce, determined, set on fire. "I will just say that-!!!...*gulp* the tough act faded too soon after seconds of being in front of thousands of people and cameras.
Her face burst in heat, her cheeks deflated, her eyes rolling dizzy, her cute lips trembled saying, "L-Let's all do our best...okay?"
