(An zombie apocalypse AU)
(Trypanophobia aka the fear of needles/injections)
(Let me explain what it is exactly, you can ignore this if you want, so basically if you were a zombie you would've forgotten everything of when you were alive but they're able to remember if you showed them pictures of them with their friends, they're able to feel general emotions, explanation over)

(Gundham POV)

An zombie apocalypse had entered our town, most of the town was turned but a few had escaped the town. Me and my prince Hajime were trying to figure out an cure for the virus, while we were in the lab, a few zombies broke in. I was able to kill them but my prince was bitten by one of them "Gundham, you've gotta kill me." He said "No, I will figure a way out." I yelled back at him, "Gundham please..." He begged "Fi- fine..." I said, I gave him one last kiss and I knocked him out.

I chained him up to the wall and I placed a muzzle on him so he couldn't bite me when he turned into a zombie. I repaired the place where the zombies broke in and I've improved it to where they couldn't get in, but I was still trying to figure out the antidote, when I would find at least a lead, I would injected it in him. I've found an another lead, I injected the needle in him "Nrghh." He mumbled looking like he's in pain, since he couldn't bite me, I patted his head but he still tried to bite me.

I moved my hand back "My prince, I'm sorry that it hurts but it's the only way to get you back." I said. I wanted to hug him to comfort him but I don't know if he could break free, I then went back to the lab and tried to figure out an another cure.

(Hajime POV)

I don't remember anything from when I was alive but I feel a strong emotion towards that guy. All I remember is waking up chained to a wall, I was sitting on my knees and my arms were chained and so was my entire body and legs, and he would always be an lab and he would come back and he would injected me with an needle, it hurt a lot, and I couldn't really hide it so he would always apologize, saying it's the only way to get me back.

I don't know what he means by that. This time he came back with a book, he kneeled down to my height, I still tried to bite him but it didn't work, "Hajime, if you promised that you won't bite me, I'll remove the muzzle off you." He said, I could understand what he was saying so I gave a small nod, he had an small look of surprise but it returned to normal.

He took the muzzle off, he then opened up the book it was full of pictures of me and him, and others, "Don't you remember anything Hajime? Anything at all...?" He said desperately, he then got up and left, later he came back, "If you promised to not do anything to me, I'll take the chains off you." He said, I wanted them off me so I nodded.

He slowly took off the chains and as promised I didn't do anything to him, this kept happening for a few days until he came in completely injured "He- Hey Hajime, I love you." He said, then he collapsed onto the floor, I then remembered everything we were... we were dating, I rushed over to him. I pulled him to my chest, he was about to die, I knew there was only one way we could still be together forever...

I moved his shirt a bit to expose his shoulder, I bit his shoulder near his neck, he had already closed his eyes but he was still breathing but it was shallow. I will help him remember everything about us, I placed him near the wall and I sat next to him and I hugged him, I laid my head on his shoulder and I fell asleep.

(Gundham POV)

I woke up but I remembered stuff from when I was alive, I remembered my prince Hajime, and I remembered almost being killed and getting bitten by a zombie but I don't remember who. I looked to my left and I saw my prince but he was just like me, he was hugging me "Gundham..." He muttered "Haj...ime...?" I said but my voice was still sore "Gundham..!" He shouted happily. I hugged him back "He- hey Hajime." I said, I pulled him close to my body.

He nuzzled his head on my chest and he pulled me close to him. He sobbed onto me, and he kept on apologizing. He helped me remember most stuff of my life, and I found out that he was the one who bit me but he didn't know what to do because I was about to die, I forgave him because I loved him.

(Timeskip)

(Hajime POV)

They've found a cure for the virus and they released it. Everyone was turned back to normal and everything slowly began to come back to normal. I'm still dating Gundham, we got a few pets, we found out that Fuyuhiko survived and we all decided that he and Peko should live with us. Everything has been fine so far, I just hoped that everything would get better.

We all decided that we should throw a small party to celebrate, I bought everyone's favorite dishes preparations, I placed them in the fridge and we all hanged out for a while, it soon became dinner time and I got off the couch and I got out the ingredients and I made everyone's favorite dish with the help of Fuyuhiko.

Everyone enjoyed it, eventually it was dark and everyone decided that we should go to bed, Gundham and I went to our room and changed into pajamas, we both got underneath the covers and we cuddled until we both drifted off into our peaceful sleep.
